Christopher finally knew why Cecilia had such a good relationship with Evan.

Evan had given her warmth, shared his family with her, and let her lead a normal life.

If it had been someone else, they likely would have married him.

Christopher thought he was lucky that Cecilia only regarded Evan as her brother.

Cecilia nodded and suddenly remembered something. She got out of bed directly.

“You should go to sleep first. I need to talk to Evan about something.”

Observing Cecilia’s hasty departure, Christopher also rose and draped the shirt he intended to wear

the next day over her shoulders.

“Don’t catch a cold.”

Cecilia was speechless.

She raised her eyebrows as if to ask, “Can your excuse be more ridiculous?”

“It’s not something that is difficult to solve. Jason left two sentences before he passed away that left me

slightly perplexed, and that’s why I’ve come to seek your insight.” Cecilia had wanted to speak with
