Christopher was wearing only a bath towel like Cecilia before.

Cecilia got up, walked to the couch, and helped Christopher tear off the waterproof patch from his arm

before applying medicine to his wound.

However, it was not a good thing to be valued by the leader. Because she was raised as a merciless

killing machine, the training was more rigorous and cruel.

She was on her first mission when she was six.

The leader forced her to kill her companion in order to ensure the success of the mission.

She saw the look in her companion’s eyes. Even when facing death, there was only emptiness within

For the first time, she thought about what it meant to be alive.

The leader was pleased to observe her precise and fearless actions. He believed that she was born to

“Cecilia, you have passed the test. I will train you as a successor!”

It was only at that moment that Cecilia realized the mission of poisoning had been nothing more than a

test set by the leader. The target’s throat had been slit by another assassin’s blade in the end.

Hearing this, Christopher held Cecilia tightly and showered her head with kisses.

He felt sorry for what Cecilia had been through.

He thought he had lived a miserable life with all the bullying and humiliation he endured in the Forte

family.

However, his torment paled in comparison to Cecilia’s hardships.

“Ceci, I can’t alter the past to bring you happiness, but I promise to ensure a bright future for you,”

comforted Christopher.

Cecilia turned slightly, hugged Christopher’s waist, and smiled. “Okay!”

After saying that, she continued.

“The chance to escape I had been waiting for came when I was eight years old…”

When Cecilia said this, Christopher subconsciously calculated his age.

He was 16 at that time.
