As he stepped up inside, lamps lighted up the pathway. The meandering path led to a large vacant space underground with a few rooms attached to it. “You sure no one will notice you here?” Paula showed herself beside the kid.

“Apart from my parents, no one else can come here.” The hooded woman had already got to her knees, inspecting the soil. “This will do.” Jim saw her close her eyes, chanting her spells in a series. He had no idea what she was doing, but having been so close to her for weeks, he believed in this witch.

A black magic circle revealed itself, almost spanning the whole of the training grounds. Though it was not necessarily the case every time, usually the span of a magic circle denoted its strength. If that was the case here, this magic circle was absolutely huge.
