But this thought flashed through my mind, and I immediately shook my head, comforting myself, “Let it go, don’t be too ruthless. If he is unkind, it doesn’t mean I have to be heartless. After all, we were once husband and wife. There’s no need to be so hostile even after separation. Everyone should go their own way, why must it be a matter of life and death?”
During this period, I thought a lot, especially now that I had Marsh’s help, who took up the other side of the sky for me, my ment*lity became much more peaceful. The previous resentment gradually faded away. The time spent competing with Oswald would be better spent developing my own business. If a dog bites me, I can’t bite the dog back, after all, he is still Joy’s father!
From a certain perspective, he didn’t really gain any advantage from me either. Let’s just step back and the world will be vast and the sky will be high!
I had comforted myself here, unexpectedly, Oswald over there didn’t leave any room for me.
In the following days, such incidents happened one after another. The project we were about to start was on the horizon, yet he left me no room to maneuver. Without these suppliers, what project could I possibly carry out? He was pushing me into a corner.
Moreover, ever since Marsh took over Prosper Materials, he had signed several major clients, making it even more urgent to resolve this situation.
I had to personally rush to the suppliers, luckily Marsh was holding up the company in the front, which gave me the confidence to fight with all my might.
Raymon seemed to be quite busy recently as well, we were both occupied

with our own things, even phone calls were scarce. However, Sharon did call me twice, casually greeting me. Occasionally, we would bump into each other at business meetings.
She was currently an intern manager at Broadray Vision, said to be sent by the headquarters. Unexpectedly, she actually had a connection with the headquarters.
Today, I had just returned from Lithelia, and as soon as I got off the high- speed train, I received a call from Sharon asking where I was, to which I responded truthfully.
She seemed a bit disappointed, “I wanted to invite you for a meal, but I didn’t expect you to be on a business trip?”
“Let’s have dinner together then! I’m really hungry anyway!” I said casually. After all, they had made several phone calls, it would be a bit hard for me to refuse again.
“Really?”
Upon hearing my words, she indeed seemed to perk up immediately, “How about we go to the revolving restaurant we visited last time? I really like it there!”
“Alright, but I’ll need about half an hour to get there!” I said.

apologetically, informing her of the approximate time I could arrive.

“No problem, I’ll wait for you!” She said cheerfully, “Then, see you in a bit!”
I arrived at the parking lot and found my car. I wanted to go back and change my clothes, but I was afraid I wouldn’t have enough time, so I had to go directly to the restaurant.
It was such a small world, unexpectedly, I ran into Oswald and Lelia, those despicable people, at the elevator entrance. Seeing me walk in with a disheveled appearance, Lelia sneered at me, “You look like a poor
wretch who brings bad luck, and you still have the nerve to come here!”
As soon as she spoke, the people around her looked over, their eyes inevitably filled with contempt.
And in Oswald’s eyes was complexity, his mouth twitched slightly, and he called out, “Cass!”
I watched the elevator indicator light impassively, without even glancing at them.
Oswald really did cherish his ‘sister‘, flaunting her around town, wandering everywhere.
When he was with me, such moments were rare. But it was also true, I couldn’t blame him, it was all my fault. I always rejected his romance, always thought eating out was a waste, staying at home was economical and hygienic, this was my philosophy.
It seemed that my petty–minded philosophy was truly laughable. I had left all my romance, enjoyment, and opportunities for moonlit rendezvous to those who came after me.
No, they have always existed.
I had always been bothered and disgusted by the fact that they had been rolling together since their time at Lelia High School.
The elevator arrived, and I strode in. They stood in front of me. Oswald straightened his back, appearing tall and imposing. Lelia, leaning on Oswald like a damsel in distress, resembled an octopus.
She kept calling him ‘husband‘ in a voice that was so bone–chilling it gave people goosebumps. It seemed she had finally upgraded from ‘brother‘ to ‘husband‘, a title she had never had in her past eight lives.
As soon as I entered the restaurant, I saw Sharon. She saw me too, waved at me, and smiled joyfully.
It was just that I was really a bit wary of her gaze, always circling on my face, as if trying to find some answer she wanted from my face.
It was only after I sat down that I could clearly see, Sharon was indeed beautifully dressed. She was the epitome of a meticulous and refined woman. Compared to her, I, in my current disheveled state, felt like an ugly duckling.
She looked at me with extreme pleasure, Joy said with a smile, “Ms. Byrne, I also called Raymon!”
