Isabella had a feeling that Vivian must hate Nina at this point. To make her deal with Nina, Isabella stated firmly, “I’ve known her for two years. How can I not know about her? Miss Ye, Nina is not only a countrywoman, but also an orphan. She doesn’t have a family background.”

While she spoke, she glanced at Vivian. She had repeatedly reminded Vivian that Nina had no family background, which meant that dealing with her should be easy. However, Vivian’s eyes still looked blank. Isabelle sighed once more.

“Everyone in the city knows that you and Mr. Shi are perfect for each other. I didn’t expect that Nina would just suddenly appear and marry Mr. Shi. I suppose Mr. Shi was smitten by Nina’s face. My mother once told me that if a person is good-looking, they would have a higher chance of success than others. Miss Ye, even you…”

As if realizing what she had just implied, Isabella immediately stopped herself and looked at Vivian apologetically. “I’m sorry, Miss Ye. I didn’t mean to declare that you are not as beautiful as Nina. I just blurted it out without thinking.”

Isabella knew how women could get easily jealous, so she purposely said those words to irk Vivian and make her hate Nina even more.

No girl of her caliber would ever tolerate the humiliation of her love being swept away by someone who didn’t even have a family background.

“It doesn’t matter.” Despite her nonchalant words, Vivian’s face was deathly pale. She donned a bitter smile on her lips, and the hatred in her eyes was evident.

Upon seeing Vivian’s expression, Isabelle was secretly thrilled. Her plan was a success. Vivian’s hatred for Nina grew tremendously.

“Miss Ye, are you admitting that Nina is better than you? So, what if she is the disciple of Professor Gu? Yes, Professor Gu is respected. But it has nothing to do with us. So, what if she happened to have mastered the art of ink painting?

She’s nothing but a mere painter. However, you have won the ballet competition and the piano competition.

You are more famous than her.” Isabella didn’t hold back with her words and continued to provoke Vivian. She wanted Vivian to deal with Nina. A fight between the two women would benefit Isabella for sure.

Hearing Isabella’s compliments, Vivian’s eyes lit up. Excitedly, she asked, “Do you really think so?”

Nodding, Isabella replied, “Yes. I’m not the only one who thinks that. Most people in the city think so too. You are the only woman who truly deserves Mr. Shi.”

Grateful, Vivian smiled and said, “Thank you. I’m happy that you think so positively of me. By the way, there’s no need to call me Miss Ye anymore. If you don’t mind, I want us to be friends in the future. You can just call me by my name.”

For Vivian, the enemy of her enemy was her friend. She knew she could take advantage of Isabella.

With a nod, Isabella smiled at her. “Okay then, I will call you Vivian from now on. You can call me Isabella.” A feeling of pride took over Isabella. Vivian wasn’t exactly the brightest person out there. She couldn’t believe how easy it was to deceive her.

‘Friends, huh?’ thought Isabella. Since Vivian was so gullible, Isabella had no doubt that she would definitely help her if she asked.

Like a fish on a hook, Vivian looked up at Isabella and gave her an innocent smile. “Isabella, Jessica asked me earlier if we could have lunch together at noon. Since you’re my friend now, would you like to join us?”

“Really?” Pleased with herself, Isabella smirked slightly. She couldn’t wait to be friends with Jessica. As long as she remained on their good side, nobody would dare give her a hard time.

“Yes, really. Let’s go!” With a gentle smile, Vivian stood up. “Wait for me outside. I’ll be back soon after paying.”

The moment Isabella turned around, Vivian raised her eyebrow and smirked. It was clear that she was just as vicious and cunning as Isabella.

It seemed that Isabella’s impression of Vivian was wrong; she was not as innocent and harmless as she thought.

Instead, Vivian was like a snake hiding in the grass, flickering its tongue silently and just waiting for the right opportunity to strike.

Ever since she returned to the Ye family, Vivian had been cautious with each step she took. She had been trained to observe other people’s expressions and body language since she was a child.

She even managed to use these skills to persuade her father to love her and gain fame in the city.

From the very beginning, she knew about Isabella’s plan. She knew that Isabelle just wanted to use her to deal with Nina.
It was ridiculous, to be honest.

Murdering a person with a borrowed knife wasn’t exactly unfamiliar to her. Well, if Isabella wanted to use her, then Vivian would just have to pretend that she was oblivious to it. Vivian wanted to see how her plan would play out.

After all, Vivian had nothing to worry about. She had never lost a battle, especially ones that took meticulous planning and scheming. It was her plan to get Noah out of the Ye family. At first, she took away her father’s love, and then the conflict between her father and her brother gradually grew until it got out of hand. Out of frustration, her brother left without a word.

The CEO of the Ye Group was her aunt, Kristina. Even with her position, she wouldn’t be able to protect Noah. She couldn’t kick Vivian and her mother out of the Ye family either.

“Isabella, take my car.” Vivian came out of the shop with a gentle smile. Isabelle didn’t suspect a thing.

Isabella sat in the passenger seat and quickly fastened her seat belt. “Vivian, it seems that Ms. Shi has always been nice to you.”

“Yes, she’s always been nice to me. She always treats me as her sister-in-law…umm…sister.” Vivian purposely let the words “sister-in-law” slip out her mouth and watched Isabella’s reaction. It was a trap, of course.

For her plan to work, Isabella needed to know how much Jessica valued Vivian. Obviously, Isabella would also try to get close to her and use her.

Vivian made sure that she could use Isabella too.

“Really?” Like a mouse, Isabella walked right into the trap. “I think Ms. Shi also wants you to marry Mr. Shi. The only person who can match Mr. Shi is you.”

Shrugging, Vivian smiled but didn’t say anything else.

Silence was the answer.

With Vivian’s status and Jessica’s support, Nina would surely be ruined and probably end up being dumped. Isabella was sure of it.

It seemed that she had to win over their friendship, which should be easy considering how fond Vivian already was of her. She wanted them to deal with Nina, and wondered how she could add fuel to the fire.

Nina, that damned bitch, almost ruined her family.

On the nineteenth floor of HD Square

In a luxurious Western restaurant, a well-dressed woman was sitting there. She was Jessica.

When she saw Vivian come, she waved at her with a warm smile.

“Vivi, who is this girl?” Once her eyes saw Isabella, her warm personality dissipated. Her eyes turned cold.

Jessica considered herself as a person with good taste. When she saw Isabella’s ensemble, she couldn’t help but feel disgusted.

“Nice to meet you, Ms. Shi.” Nervous, Isabella greeted her with a small bow. Her voice was shaky as she spoke. After all, Jessica came from a wealthy family. To get close to her was to get close to power and money.

Smiling gently, Vivian introduced, “Jessica, this is Isabella. Her father is from the Zhang family and her mother from the Fang family. She’s my new friend. In fact, you and Isabella should consider each other friend now.”

Surprised, Jessica blinked up at her. “Friend? What do you mean?”

“Well, Isabella is a good friend of Nina in L University. Now that Nina is your sister-in-law, Isabella should be considered your friend too.” With a smile on her face, Vivian’s plan was slowly coming together.

She wouldn’t just bring Isabella to see Jessica for no reason. Of course, she hoped that Isabella could help her. Therefore, she specifically mentioned Nina to get Jessica’s attention.

As expected, Jessica glanced at Isabella a few more times and finally asked, “Are you a friend of Nina?”
