Ji Nuan’s current attitude toward him was just like the day when she had coldly declared that she no longer loved him. It was as though his presence did not matter to her, and she was able to let go of everything from her heart. She had her temper, but that wasn’t significant. It was but some desire to take revenge and to stab some knives into his heart.

However, her appearance earlier as she had smashed the pillow against him, and the way she seemed burning with anger was a rare sight.

“I don’t need you to give into me. Move your hands aside!”

No matter what she said, he seemed to have no intention of releasing her. Ji Nuan wanted to twist out of his embrace but recalled that this man could not be easily provoked right now. Moving in his embrace carelessly would only bring herself harm.

At last, her expression turned ugly: “I’m covered in sweat. Even if you don’t mind it, I mind it. Let me go take a bath.”

“Do you have the strength? I’ll carry you over?”

“No need. I can go by myself.”

Mo Jingshen lowered his head to scan her shiny little face. Seeing the way she was scowling, he released her.

Despite exhausting most of her energy, after clambering off the bed, Ji Nuan found that she was no longer as dizzy as she had been earlier. It was likely because she had perspired a lot. She stabilized her footsteps and entered the bathroom.

The bathroom was filled with steam. Ji Nuan reached up to touch her damp hair, glancing at the tub filled with water. She sat down by the tub and stared at the water in a daze.

All of a sudden, the man knocked against the bathroom door. His composed voice seemed to carry a few hints of warning: “I asked you to go in to take a shower; not to avoid me. If I don’t hear any noise in the next five minutes, I’m going to enter.”

Ji Nuan peeled off the damp sleepwear off of herself and tossed it onto the shelf by the side. She finally stepped into the water and sat down in the tub.

Although she did not have much strength, there was no need for her to do much in the tub. The jacuzzi tubs in this sort of five-star hotels had a washing function. Gentle jets of water were directed toward her from four directions, washing her rhythmically. Slowly, white bubbles were also formed on the surface. Not too long after, the entire tub seemed to be filled with a bubble bath.

Ji Nuan half-laid in the tub without moving as her body was being washed. Her eyes were fixed upwards, watching the chandelier in the bathroom.

Eventually, as the sensation of being washed became too comfortable, she almost fell asleep. After closing her eyes for two minutes, another knock resounded against the bathroom door. The man’s low, heavy voice could be heard: “Don’t fall asleep.”

Ji Nuan: “…”

Did he install a surveillance camera in the bathroom? How was he able to predict everything she would do?

She had chosen this hotel herself. Mo Jingshen had visited this place for the first time yesterday after bringing her back. It was unlikely that he had installed a surveillance camera.

Ji Nuan instinctively scanned her surroundings. After a moment, she refilled her tub with clean water and soaked for a little while longer before standing up. When she lowered her head, she saw that the various intimate marks on her body were still apparent. She really could not fathom how perverted Mo Jingshen had been last night. From head to toe, he had really kissed every inch of her skin!

Ji Nuan had a poor expression on. She stepped out from the tub, placing one foot into her slipper. Her other foot shifted forward as she reached out to grab the towel on the silver rack. However, her feet abruptly slipped against the floor, causing her to abruptly fall onto the ground with a loud noise. At the very instant Ji Nuan released a soft cry from the pain, the bathroom door was quickly opened. Mo Jingshen entered to see Ji Nuan sitting on the ground with a pale complexion. She appeared as though… she was hurting from landing on her butt.

The man quickly approached and bent down to carry her up. However, Ji Nuan had one hand against her butt and another pointed upward: “Towel, give me the towel!”

Mo Jingshen carelessly tugged the towel down and wrapped it around her. In an instant, he supported her up: “Are you all right? Was it a bad fall? How did you manage to fall down just by taking a bath?”

Ji Nuan also wanted to say; were the two of them some sort of cursed existence to each other? Why was it that, when she was in London, she never seemed to embarrass herself? Her life had proceeded peacefully. However, the moment she appeared before him, she had a fever and even fell down. Was this man cursing her?!

“Earlier, there were too much bubbles from the bath. I didn’t pay attention and didn’t expect the floor to be so slippery.” Ji Nuan explained lightly. Her hand remained against her back and her expression had changed from anger into embarrassment and grievance.

Seeing that she still had the energy to show a poor expression, Mo Jingshen guessed that it wasn’t a bad fall. He lifted her up and brought her out of the bathroom, placing her on the bed.

The moment Ji Nuan’s butt came into contact with the bed, she shifted backward and rewrapped the towel tightly around herself.

However, the towel was only so big. It could only cover her from the chest down. The neck, collarbone, and cleavage were littered with the marks the man had left behind. As she had soaked in the bath for too long earlier, her skin also appeared slightly rosy. She sat before the man as the took in everything as he pleased.

After being stared by the man for a while, she abruptly pointed at her luggage: “Help me take another set of sleepwear.”

The man glanced at the towel on her: “How many sets of sleepwear did you bring?”

“…Two.”

Mo Jingshen immediately chuckled: “The other set is the pink, spaghetti strap nightgown?”

At the thought of the nightgown, Ji Nuan fell silent.

He had almost lost his composure the last time he saw her at Sheng Tang Hotel in that nightgown. If she hadn’t been protected by her great-aunt, it was likely that he would have completely devoured her. Furthermore, even with her great-aunt, the consequences were barely any better. Her hands had ached for a long time after that.

“From the way I see it, if it’s that nightgown, there’s no difference between wearing it and not.”

That was still better than being wrapped up in this towel. The length was barely enough to cover her legs.

“Bring it! I want to wear it!”

Mo Jingshen did not say more. Since she wished to wear it, he would let her. He approached her luggage and searched through it for her nightgown. When he finally retrieved that pink, silk nightgown, he brought it back to her bedside.

“I’ll help you into it?”

“I’ll do it myself.” Ji Nuan reached her hand up.

Mo Jingshen handed it to her.

After receiving it, Ji Nuan lifted her blanket and changed into the nightgown under the sheets.

The man’s gaze was deep and dark as he watched the little woman change under the blankets. Finally, she let go of the sheets, revealing her figure dressed in the pink, spaghetti-strapped nightgown.

When he saw the marks on her shoulders and collarbone, the man’s eyelid subconsciously twitched once.
