Living With My Lady Boss - Season 8 Episode 80
A round formation about a few meters wide lit up on the ground all of a sudden.
Countless runes floated up from the formation, and lines stretched out to form terrifying images. Then, a pale white flame ignited in the center.
The flame brought about a terrifying aura.
The flame serpent stared at the flame and felt like its soul was being lit ablaze.
It turned around in shock, curling in on itself behind the Dragon’s Altar as it trembled, not daring to show its head.
At the same time, Angie’s soul sensed the terrifying aura as well. She let out a cry of terror, losing all hope.
Wilbur waved a hand, and Angie’s soul drifted toward the formation.
Just as it touched the pale flame, a high-pitched wail of agony rang through the air.
The red ball of light that was Angie’s soul turned in the flames as she wailed as if she had been thrown into a pot of boiling oil.
Wilbur smirked coldly. “Have fun. I guess it was worth the spiritual energy to summon the Earthly Flame.”
“Please let me go, please! I’m begging you, I’ll do anything, please. Please, please, please.”
Angie’s soul begged wildly, crying out in agony over and over again.

Yet Wilbur merely sneered. “You should have known this was coming from the day you kidnapped Faye. A little too late for you to be begging, don’t you think?”
Angie’s soul continued to howl and wail.
Under the scorching Earthly Flame, her voice grew weaker and weaker.
Translucent images of Angie began to appear above the formation.
Her life seemed to be put on display, showing everything she had experienced.
An unfortunate childhood filled with shame, morphing into resentment as an adult.
Angie knelt before a towering statue, praying day and night.
Upon receiving her immense power, she killed her own husband and parents, wiping her family out.
She only had love for her son, spoiling him rotten and giving him anything he wanted.

All of Angie’s secrets were exposed to Wilbur.
He stared on coldly.
Just then, a thick, jet-black ball of light the size of a fingernail drifted out of Angie’s soul.

It zoomed around the formation wildly the second it appeared as if it was trying to escape.
Just then, a pale white wall of flames arose around the formation, surrounding the entire demiplane.
Runes covered the walls, shooting out jets of fire at the black light ball.
Wilbur smirked coldly. “I was waiting for you. I’d like to know where you obtained these powers of yours from.”
…
Three days later, Wilbur appeared in his bedroom.
His body was surrounded by a thick cloud of black fog and a freezing chill.
The next second, the door of his room was kicked open.
Eileen barged into the room wearing an anxious expression, holding her jagged swords.
She saw Wilbur, then the black fog around him.
Eileen heaved a sigh of relief, relaxing visibly as she put the swords away. “I thought that old hag came back to life.”
“Sorry, I haven’t quite gotten the hang of controlling this energy yet.” Runes flashed on Wilbur’s body as he spoke, and the black fog was slowly being absorbed back into his body.
Eileen frowned. “How did you get her powers?”
“That’s a secret,” Wilbur said.
Eileen chuckled. She stared at Wilbur, her gaze flashing with something unreadable.
Just then, the door of the bedroom was opened. Faye stuck her head out, peering at the living room anxiously.
