Living With My Lady Boss - Season 8 Episode 79
Sabotaging a rich family for personal gain was common enough, and Wilbur was not surprised in the slightest.
However, whether or not Jean’s father was able to recover from his illness would be a problem.
The internal conflict, the brothers arguing and fighting over who got the company was a comparatively small problem.
Wilbur needed to travel there to have a look personally for him to make a decision.
A pause later, Wilbur said, “Well, I’ll help you out for sure since I’ve taken your gift. Give me three days, and I’ll head back with you. How’s that?”
Jean looked clearly anxious but did not protest.
He had no choice but to nod.
After all, he had spent quite a bit of effort and money to find Wilbur.
This man was the head of the Kardon Province Cultivators Association, the real
boss of Cape Consortium, and a powerful Sanctuary level cultivator. Any one of those achievements was shocking enough.
It was also said that there was nothing he could not do.
Jean’s family did not have a long legacy, but he had a few Ambience level cultivators serving as his bodyguards.
Based on the bodyguards’ words, Jean was able to figure out just how powerful someone at the Sanctuary level was.
He had no choice but to go to Wilbur in hopes that he would be able to help.
The crown had indeed been passed down by his grandfather and had been protected safely at home this whole time.
In fact, Jean had stolen the crown from his family, taking a risky gamble.
Wilbur smiled. “You can get some rest here. We leave in three days.”
He got up to return to his room, coming up to Faye.
Faye scrambled to cover her face at the noise.

Despite the fact that she was healing, there was no way she was going to let Wilbur see her before she had fully recovered.
Wilbur smiled at her. “I came to tell you that I’m going to punish that old hag. It’ll
take a few days. You should get all the rest you need.”

“Isn’t she dead?” Faye asked from the covers, surprised.
Wilbur chuckled. “Her body’s dead, but her soul’s about to be punished real soon.”
Faye nodded silently. She loathed that old hag with all her life.
She hoped that Wilbur would punish that witch as terribly as possible.
Wilbur smiled, entering his demiplane.
The flame serpent bounded over cheerily, and Wilbur stroked its head before telling it to go and play elsewhere. He then walked up to Angie’s soul.
“Angie Zeeto. I’m going to return everything you said to me back to you.”
“What are you going to do?” a trembling voice rang through the air.
Wilbur smiled. “I’m going to extract your soul so that it can burn in endless flames for eternity.”
“You wouldn’t dare!” Angie’s voice was frail and shrill.
Wilbur smirked coldly. “You’ll find out whether or not I dare to do so or not real soon. I’m going to know all your secrets, and your soul will never rest in peace. You’re going to be tortured by infernal flames forever. This is for threatening me and harming the people around me.”
Upon speaking, Wilbur’s hands drew a series of runes. Spiritual energy surged in the air, kicking up strong winds as if the end of the world had come.
Even the flame serpent knew enough to hide as far away as it could, crouching behind the Dragon’s Altar.
After drawing a few runes, Wilbur put his palms together, crying out, “Deathly Descent: Earthly Flame.”
