“I’m going to Dream Club today, do you want to come?” she asked.

“Not interested!” Flynn was about to hang up when he heard Matteo’s voice on the other end of the line.

“Go have some fun, Flynn. It’ll be good for your future development if you mingle with Madeline’s friends,” Matteo said.

“Okay, I’ll go,” Flynn reluctantly agreed due to Matteo’s request.

After finishing his meal slowly, he went to the garage. Yesterday he had driven the Lamborghini but wasn’t used to manual transmission so he chose a Volkswagen Lavida with automatic transmission instead.

Flynn quickly arrived at Heavenly Steed Stables and saw Madeline chatting with several beautiful women as soon as he got out of the car. “Oh! Brother-in-law is here!” Scarlet giggled while covering her mouth.

Madeline glared at Scarlet but didn’t greet Flynn. Instead, she turned back and continued chatting. The socialites lost interest in their conversation and started criticizing Flynn instead.

“He looks average and has an okay figure… sigh… what’s the point without power or influence? What use is just having good looks?”

“Look at how he walks – head held high, chest puffed out – like he doesn’t care about us at all! Where does that confidence come from?”

“You don’t understand. This guy just got out of prison and married Madeline right away. Of course, he feels proud. It’s what we call ‘a small man getting lucky’.”

Flynn listened to the sarcastic remarks of the crowd and his face turned cold.

“Enough, give Madeline some respect and stop talking!” Alan arrived with a group of playboys and smiled at Madeline. “Mr. Read will be here soon, let’s wait for him at the entrance,” he said.

“Don’t worry, even though Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild is wealthy, they still have to give me face!”

Madeline nodded and thanked him, “Thank you, Mr. Davies.”

“Haha!” Alan laughed. “Don’t be so formal, just call me Alan from now on.”

Suddenly, the crowd exclaimed in surprise.

“Oh my god! Isn’t that Miss Woods? The divine healer with billions in funds who acquired the Sharp’s Pharmaceutical?” someone said in awe.

“If I could marry her, I’d be willing to die ten years earlier!” another person exclaimed dreamily.

“Don’t even dream about it! Miss Woods’ status is too high for us mere mortals. Just being able to see her today is a blessing from our past lives! Look at her aura – she’s invincible!” someone else gushed.

Layla walked into the club wearing a long red dress and crystal high heels with straight legs held high as she strutted confidently towards them.

Since Layla came to Niarak, any praise related to women was directed towards her alone.

Men admired, women worshiped.

Even Madeline, who was proud, was no exception. She had been trying to get closer to Layla and dreamed of becoming like her.

Layla’s tall figure, beautiful face, and outstanding abilities made Madeline completely infatuated.

So much so that even when Layla had walked away, Madeline unconsciously followed her for ten meters without realizing it.

“Someday I will become a woman like Layla who is unparalleled in the world!”

“Someday I will become a star in the sky like her that people look up to!”

“Flynn, you are just an insignificant worm. How can you be worthy of me?”

Madeline clenches her fists tightly and cannot help but scream inwardly. She despised Flynn even more.

When Layla heard the exclamation, she turned around with a cold smile in her eyes.

“I heard from Kimber that Flynn became the son-in-law of Kaur family. It seems true!”

Inside the club lounge:

Edwin lay on his chaise longue wearing his bathrobe while two beauties massaged his legs.

Upon seeing Layla enter, Edwin quickly stood up to greet her.

“Miss Woods, what brings you here with such a big smile on your face? Did something good happen?” he asked.

Edwin raised his hand and two beautiful women immediately bowed and left the room.

Layla smiled faintly. “I ran into a clown earlier. I felt sorry for him,” she said.

“Why would there be a clown at the racetrack?” Edwin wondered but didn’t delve deeper as he poured Layla a glass of red wine.

“Miss Woods, you just acquired the Sharp’s Group. You must be busy, so why do you have time to come see me?” he asked jokingly.

“I just arrived in Niarak not too long ago and wanted to meet all the big shots. I’ll be counting on your help in the future,” Layla replied with a smile.

“I heard Mr. Kennedy from Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild will be released from prison soon. I was wondering if there will be any welcoming banquet, and if so, I’d like to attend as well.”

“You’re overestimating us!” Edwin laughed heartily before continuing, “The Woods family is one of Slatin’s wealthiest families worth billions of dollars, and you’re also Green Liniment Ghost Doctor’s disciple.”

“How could we dare say we’ll take care of you?”

“Orion will be released in two days. I’ll go pick him up at the airport while you head over to Chateau Hotel first.”

“As soon as he gets off the car, I’ll introduce you both.”

Outside of club:

Flynn also saw Layla and suddenly had an urge to curse out loud.

Why would Layla, instead of staying in Slatin, come all the way to Niarak?

He can encounter her anywhere, and it was just annoying!

Meanwhile, Madeline was lost in thought as she wandered away from the crowd and found herself standing by the side of the road.

Suddenly, a Porsche Carrera GT came roaring towards her at breakneck speed!

Madeline’s heart skipped a beat as she screamed and closed her eyes.

Flynn quickly reacted, becoming a blur as he pulled Madeline out of harm’s way.

The Porsche Carrera GT drifted past where Madeline had been standing before coming to a stop not far away.

The door opened, revealing Olivier Read – Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild’s Chief Financial Officer – dressed impeccably in black suit with perfectly styled hair that made him look like some sort of gang boss.

“Wow! Mr. Read is such an amazing driver! He truly deserves his reputation as Niarak’s mountain racing god!”

“If Mr. Read were to enter professional racing competitions, he would definitely win awards because his skills are top-notch!”

“Mr. Read is so talented! Not only is he an excellent driver but also skilled in martial arts. He even placed third in the national amateur fighting competition recently!”

Everyone was flattering Olivier.

“Mr. Read, smoke!” Alan offered a cigarette with a smile.

Olivier didn’t even look at him and said coldly, “Have you found the sparring partner?”

He had an air of superiority and had been cold since he got off the car, but no one felt dissatisfied on the scene.

Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild was Niarak’s number one business association, and Orion, its president, was a big shot in Niarak.

Even after he was being locked up on Demon Island Prison for five years, no one dared to disrespect Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild.

As the minister of Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild and one of Orion’s five right hands, Olivier naturally had an arrogant capital.

“They are waiting for you at the club!” Alan replied respectfully.

“Well then, I’ll go play a few rounds. Hopefully it won’t be like last time when that weakling fainted after three punches!” Olivier said as he walked towards the club with large strides.

However, just then a voice filled with killing intent sounded from behind him.

“Apologize!”

“Why did you have to run into her when there is such a wide road? Are you blind?” Flynn stood behind Olivier and spoke coldly.

If Madeline hadn’t dodged quickly enough, at Porsche’s speed just now, she would have died on spot.

“Are you blind?!”

The crowd was suddenly shocked.

Olivier paused and slowly turned to look at Flynn, his narrowed eyes shooting icy glares.

Madeline, noticing the situation, hurriedly pulled him back and whispered, “Flynn, are you crazy? He’s Mr. Read of the Myriad Dragon Merchant Guild! Forget it!”

“Kid, do you know what you’re saying? Who do you think you are? You think you’re worthy to make Mr. Read apologize?”
