Flynn dared to demand an apology from Olivier, which to onlookers was akin to poking a sleeping tiger.

“Mr. Read, he’s Madeline’s husband who just got out of prison and doesn’t know proper etiquette. Please don’t take offense,” Alan said with a smile.

“Husband? Just got out of prison?” Olivier’s eyes narrowed as he scrutinized Flynn once more. He was dressed plainly and had calloused hands – clearly someone who did manual labor often – yet he could be Madeline’s husband?

The more Olivier looked at Flynn’s unremarkable appearance compared to Madeline’s flawless beauty, the angrier he became.

“Mr. Read, please don’t mind what Flynn said. It was my fault for being distracted on the side of the road,” Madeline quickly interjected to smooth things over.

But Olivier raised his hand to stop her and turned his fake smile towards Flynn, “No one in Niarak has ever made me apologize before. You’re the first.”

“You’ve got guts! I wonder if you’re just as tough in the ring? How about we spar for two rounds?”

“If you win, I’ll apologize. How does that sound?” As he spoke, an insidious grin spread across Olivier’s face.

He was Orion’s strongest fighter, and had helped the Guild out of many tight spots in recent years. He had even defeated ten opponents single-handedly without breaking a sweat.

If he were to step into the ring, Olivier was confident that he could easily take down Flynn!

Flynn looked at him with disdain and said, “You’re not even worthy of dying by my hand!”

“What?!”

A man, who had come with Alan, immediately flew into a rage and pointed at Flynn. “If you don’t have the guts to fight, stop pretending! I don’t need Mr. Read to teach you a lesson – I can beat you up myself!”

Olivier chuckled. “Young man, talk is cheap – let’s see some action.”

“How about this: if you can last for ten minutes against me in the ring, I’ll admit defeat,” Olivier proposed.

Flynn sighed softly and looked regretful as he said, “You could have apologized standing up. Why did you choose to kneel instead?”

“Well then,” Olivier replied with a smile. “I’ll give you what you want.”

With that settled, they headed off to the boxing gym.

Madeline was shocked and whispered quietly, “Are you crazy?! Mr. Read is an expert boxer.”

“You won’t even last three moves!”

Scarlet pulled her back and said, “Let him suffer a bit!”

“Mr. Read knows his limits, he’ll just teach him a lesson at most. It’s no big deal!”

Madeline thought for a moment but didn’t stop them.

This guy talked big all day long, he didn’t know his place.

He deserved to be taught a lesson or else he might end up dead outside!

Flynn heard Scarlet’s words with his sharp hearing but paid no attention to them.

The crowd followed them to the fighting arena.

Olivier put on boxing gloves and armor and sneered, “Put on your gear, I’m afraid I’ll beat you to death!”

“It’s just one punch, there’s no need!” Flynn picked up the boxing gloves casually without even tying the wrist wraps.

He walked onto the ring and stood nonchalantly on one side.

“You only need one punch!” Olivier dodged left and right while throwing punches in the air. The wind from his fists whistled by with endless force.

“Mr. Read is really strong! Even standing below the ring I can feel it! That punch must have been hundreds of kilograms of force!”

“What’s so special about that? Mr. Read once punched a cow to death with just one blow! He has strength equivalent to thousands of pounds! Just watch – even if he wears boxing gloves, he can still pop this guy’s eyeballs out!”

“We need to stay away. What if we get splattered with the blood of the prisoner? That would be really unlucky.”

“Let’s begin!” Olivier sneered, leaping forward and throwing a punch at Flynn!

“Mr. Read’s move is straightforward and powerful, without any frills. It packs a punch of about a thousand pounds.”

“I doubt even professional athletes could take this punch!”

Olivier went all out with his attack, his movements clean and precise as he aimed for a one-hit kill.

Flynn remained in his stance, looking relaxed and even lazy as he didn’t even bother to look up at his opponent.

Just as Olivier’s fist was about three inches from Flynn’s face, he moved.

“Heh heh, this kid must regret not wearing protective gear…” Alan chuckled wryly.

Before he could finish speaking though, Flynn tilted his head slightly to the right and dodged Olivier’s fist before throwing a straight right punch!

Bang!

“Ahh!”

Olivier felt like he had been hit by a train in the chest. He flew five meters away before crashing heavily onto the ground on his knees!

“Wow!”

Acidic bile surged up from Olivier’s stomach as it spewed out onto the ground beneath him. The entire gym fell silent; people could hear a pin drop!

The crowd looked at each other in disbelief as Olivier, a man with the strength to knock out a bull and fighting skills comparable to professional athletes, was sent flying five meters by Flynn’s punch. He couldn’t even stand up from his kneeling position.

“I told you it was just one punch, boring! Apologize!” Flynn said calmly as he took off his gloves and threw them in front of Olivier.

Olivier was shocked and shouted, “It’s impossible, absolutely impossible!”

“I used up too much energy racing earlier. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have stood a chance against me.”

“Are you trying to deny your defeat?” Flynn’s eyes were deep as he looked at Olivier.
