You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone - Season 2 Episode 65
As time passed, the atmosphere gradually became tense.
Caliste looked at the two on edge and said, “Isn’t the bowl hot? Also, I have a stomach ache. I’m not missing an arm or a leg that I need someone to wait on me.”
She glanced at the bowl and ordered, “Put it down.”
She was infuriated!
Nicholas looked at Lucian suspiciously and then at Paul.
As a man with fairly good taste, he couldn’t understand why these two men, who were more than popular, were interested in Calista. She was a tough woman made of steel.
It may be a matter of preference.
Calista sent everyone away after asking the doctor when she could be discharged, including Lucian, who had kept her company all night.
She shut her eyes again, but the ward was so noisy, filled with people talking, eating, and the occasional pacing of doctors, nurses, and visitors.
All these noises kept her from sleeping, and trying to fall asleep, Calista sat up and slowly began to eat her soup.
She had been in the hospital for two days, and during this time, all her meals had been prepared and delivered by Gloria.
“Gloria, you don’t have to go through all this trouble. The hospital cafeteria staff would take orders at meal times. It’s cold outside, so you don’t have to run back and forth,” Calista said.
“The food outside can’t compare to homemade dishes. I don’t even know if the vegetables are properly washed,” Gloria said, taking out a meal box.
“I bought fresh vegetables from the market early this morning. Since your stomach is ill, you should eat something simple. I’ll prepare a feast for you when you get discharged.”
Calista knew Gloria well. She treated her well to get Nicholas into the Northwood Corporation.
However, Calista would never agree to this even if she hadn’t divorced Lucian.

If Nicholas wanted to work at Capeton, he could stay with her while looking for a job.
Gloria interupted her, saying, “You’re still in the hospital. You should take care of yourself first
Stop thinking about anything else.”
She seemed like she truly cared for her health without ulterior motives.
Calista left the hospital after finishing her meal to avoid troubling Gloria further, insisting that
she had urgent matters to attend to in Capeton.
She would return immediately after paying her respects to her grandfather in the afternoon. Gloria called Philip and asked him to pick her up.
“Why are you in such a hurry? Can’t you wait for just a day or two? I haven’t had a chance to pack
Nicholas’s luggage yet.”
Calista replied, “Hmm, it’s an unexpected situation.”
Paul and Lucian also arrived. She had found them annoying these past few days and explicitly
forbade them from coming to the hospital.
Her Grandfather’s grave was remote, and it took another forty minutes of driving from the city.
The location of the cemetery was a vast wasteland, and from a distance, apart from her
Grandfather’s grave, all that could be seen was a field of weeds.
As soon as Calista saw this, her expression soured. However, she hadn’t returned in three years, so
she had no right to criticize. Beside her, Lucian also frowned.
Gloria chuckled nervously, “Fort City’s government built this cemetery. It’s a bit far, and the previous cemetery still has vacant plots. That’s why it hasn’t been developed yet. Give it a few years, and it won’t look so desolate. Your grandfather gives us the best luck in that spot.”
Calista didn’t say anything. She had come straight from the hospital, still wearing the pair of
slippers she had worn when she went there.
The tall grass covered her legs when she stepped out of the car.
There were rocks on the ground, and the grass was too thick. She nearly twisted her ankle several times. Lucian and Paul reached out at the same time to help her.

down to lift her off her feet.
He glanced at Gloria, smiling obsequiously, and sneered, “With such good luck, I wonder how rich
you must be worth now?”
Gloria stammered, “We were planning to clear the weeds after the holidays.”
They finally arrived at Mr. Everhart Senior’s grave after some difficulty.
Calista looked at the dusty gravestone and the dense weeds surrounding it, and her eyes welled up
with tears.
Her grandfather had been such a lively person during his lifetime. In Capeton, he would meet with friends for sports and tea every week.
But now, he was buried in a desolate place with no one around. It must be so painful for him. Calista looked at the photo on the gravestone and fell silent.
Gloria, feeling guilty, dragged Philip to the side to pull out some weeds.
She had intended to have someone come and clean up the area in the next few days, but Calista suddenly fell ill and insisted on coming to pay her respects, catching her off guard.
Calista’s voice was low as she murmured, “Grandfather, I’m sorry I’m late.”
She didn’t expect this when she arrived. She tried to find a paper towel in her bag to wipe away
the dust but could only find a half–used pack of tissues.
Lucian said, “Let’s stay here a bit longer and get another fortune teller to relocate his grave.”
Gloria heard about relocating the grave and hastily objected, “That can’t be done. It’s not good to
relocate the grave all the time.”
She had consulted the most famous fortune teller in Fort City, and he had chosen this, saying it
would bring wealth to their family.
If they moved the grave, Philip’s family might be affected. Besides, Calista would most likely find
a fortune teller to benefit her.
Calista had tried to calm her anger since she exited the car. But she lost control at this moment.
She met Gloria’s gaze head–on and said coldly, “Then you bring that fortune teller here. I would

trying to butter everyone if you’re living such a wealthy life? Why don’t Nicholas enjoy the
comforts at home instead of working for others?”
Gloria’s face faltered as someone of such a young age reprimanded her. However, she endured it
for the sake of her son’s future.
“Calista, look at what you’re saying; it’s too much. If you look at the burial places of any
respectable man of the past, they are all placed in desolate places deep in the mountains. The
more remote, the better.”
Calista didn’t buy into this argument at all.
“We are not from some prestigious family, so there’s no need to inconvenience Grandfather. I will
arrange for someone to move the grave for Grandfather. You don’t need to worry about the
expenses at all.”
If it weren’t for her Grandfather’s desire to be buried in his hometown, she would have even considered moving the tomb directly to the capital.
Gloria’s face darkened, and she raised her voice to protest, “That’s impossible. You’re married into
another family. You have no right to meddle in the Everhart family’s affairs. I’ve been working
tirelessly to care for you these past few days, and you haven’t shown an ounce of gratitude.
Instead, you’ve just been ungrateful!”
