You’r Gonna Miss Me When I’M Gone - Season 2 Episode 63
Lucian came out of the shower, and his face fell when he saw the person lying on the bed.
“What are you doing here?”
Paul, who was reading a high school chemistry book he had somehow found, didn’t even raise his head at the question.
“She doesn’t want to stay with you.”
“I don’t want to stay with you either, so if you insist on being annoying here, just go sleep on the floor.”
Finally, Paul reluctantly shifted his gaze away from the book, glanced at Lucian, and then lay down before him, closed his eyes, and went to sleep.
Lucian wasn’t used to the bed, but he had some trouble sleeping tonight. He sat on the sofa on the balcony, quietly smoking and looking at the scenery outside.
Although the winter here wasn’t as cold as Capeton, it was damp and cold, with a biting wind.
The balcony and the bedroom were separated by sliding doors, which were closed.
The warm air from the air conditioner couldn’t reach the balcony, and the hand holding the
cigarette had long lost its warmth.
After finishing a cigarette, Lucian crushed it and went into the bedroom. As he passed the
dressing table, he glanced at the hairdryer, and his eyes darkened.
In the middle of the night, Lucian was awakened by faint noises from outside. He got up, opened
the door, and saw a figure stooped over, rummaging through the TV cabinet drawer.
The person held a phone flashlight, causing the light to sway slightly.
It was well past two in the morning, and the lights had all been turned off. There was only a faint
glow from the street lights.
However, Philip’s apartment was on a high floor, and only a dim light barely illuminated the room.
Lucian squinted at the figure. She had disheveled hair, her back was turned to him, and her white
pajamas seemed familiar. It was Calista. What was she doing at this hour?

Lucian walked over a few steps.
“What are you doing in the middle of the night?”
He didn’t try to tread softly around her. His footsteps sounded heavier due to the cheap slippers he was wearing. Still, Calista was startled by his sudden voice.
She shrieked and slumped on the floor, her phone falling before her. The flashlight illuminated Calista’s pale face, with beads of sweat across her forehead.
Lucian’s expression softened, and he reached out to touch her forehead.
“What’s wrong with you?”
It was abnormal to be sweating so much in the winter. Calista sat on the floor, unable to get up. Her voice had changed and was slightly trembling.
“My stomach hurts so much. Can you help me find some medicine?”
She was out of strength; otherwise, she wouldn’t have asked for Lucian’s help. Lucian’s placed his hand on her forehead, wiping off the sweat. Her skin was icy cold at his touch.
“Let’s go to the hospital.”
He picked up the car keys from the coffee table, bent down, and lifted Calista.
Calista wanted to refuse, but the pain left her with no strength, so she nestled in his arms obediently, clutching the collar of his pajamas tightly with her fingers.
The waves of cramps in her stomach consumed all her thoughts, and she had no energy left to struggle. As the door opened, a cold draft blew through the corridor, making Calista shiver.
Her head, dazed from the pain, cleared up a bit.
She pushed Lucian gently, “Go put on some clothes.”
Lucian was only wearing a thin silk pajama. But he ignored her, carried her to the elevator, and
pressed the button to the basement.

before entering the driver’s seat. He started the car and pulled out of the parking lot.
Calista’s sweat had dampened his arm and chest, and the black stains on his gray pajamas stood

Seeing him driving without a word, Calista, curled up in her seat, spoke with difficulty, “Give me your phone, I’ll navigate.”
Her phone had fallen to the ground earlier, and she hadn’t picked it up.
Fort City has undergone significant changes recently, with development projects everywhere.
Philip bought the house a couple of years ago, and she wasn’t familiar with this area.
Even she didn’t know the way, let alone Lucian. Lucian didn’t even look at her. His hands clenched.
the steering wheel so tightly that his knuckles turned white.
His brows furrowed deeply when he heard Calista’s bling voice due to pain.
“Shut up, don’t talk.”
A wave of cramps hit her again, and she suddenly had no strength to speak. He wouldn’t be
wandering around Fort City looking for a hospital, would he?
Although the city wasn’t huge, it would take several hours to navigate by car to circle the city. If
worse comes to worst, she might have to bear with the pain until they found a hospital.
She should have insisted on taking some medicine at home before going to the hospital. After
several twists and turns, Lucian pulled over at the hospital’s entrance.
He didn’t even bother to park the car in a proper spot. He quickly carried Calista straight to the
emergency room.
Calista was in too much pain to speak. She stared at Lucian’s sharp jawline, wanting to say
something to distract herself.
“Are you familiar with Fort City?”
He had come straight here without going the wrong way. Lucian carried her towards the
receptionist, and Calista noticed him swallowing hard. After a while, he let out a hmm.
“Have you been here on a business trip before?”
That was the only reason she could think of. Lucian lowered his head and looked at her deeply.
When Calista thought he would answer, he said, “How much longer do you plan to cling to me?”
There was a low laugh from ahead, and Calista finally realized they had reached the reception.

Her hand was still tightly gripping Lucian’s collar, and she had even popped off two of his buttons, revealing his firm chest.
The laughter came from a nurse on duty, and everyone around was looking at them weirdly. This was tor embarrassing! At this moment, Calista was too humiliated even to feel the pain.
She hurriedly got off him, and as soon as she stood upright, she was overwhelmed by the intense pain in her abdomen. She bent over, her face growing even paler.
The nurse inquired about Calista’s symptoms and pressed her abdomen several times, asking, “ Does it hurt here?”
“Mm.”
“And here?”
“It hurts!”
Lucian’s expression darkened as Calista cried in pain.
He immediately demanded, “Be gentle. Even a cow couldn’t handle the pain with you pressing like that. If her stomach hurts, arrange for a doctor with the proper expertise.”
