Confusion built a castle inside the minds of the three of them as they watched the woman crying in front of them

“What’s happening?” Cindy wondered aloud

“I’m sorry guys, I know this will be hard to believe but you guys are…. Triplets, and here is your mum” Mary said

Goldy smiled as if he didn’t hear anything, “our mum?, We’re triplets?”

“Yes, but there’s a lot of explanation to be done” Mary replied, the woman just continued crying

” How did we end up to be triplets?” Lucy asked, shivering in shock already

” Just look at your palms, the birthmarks are verifications, it’s no coincidence for three people who are unrelated to have marks on same place at same spot” Mary replied

” Hell” Cindy said slowly, folding her fist

“I still don’t get this, I really still can’t get it” Goldy said

“I’m so sorry kids, I left you guys cos of an unpleasant situation, I didn’t just leave without a reason” the woman said tearfully

It was Cindy who rushed out of the place first and Lucy followed, leaving only Goldy with them

“My Golden boy” the woman said and held his hands, looking straight at his eyes, right now he’s seeing himself inside her clear glassy eyes

“You’re….my mum?, Our mum?’ he asked, about to start crying too, his body is still quivering in shock

“Yes son, yes, and I’m sorry, I’m sorry for leaving the three of you, it was me who told Mary not to let you guys know you’re triplets when I dropped you guys with her, and it’s because back then even as a month old kid, Lucy gets irritated and will start crying if you or Cindy was placed too closer to her, in short, her body hates contact from the two of you”.

“I was told it’s because all the repercussions of the stress I went through during the pregnancy was on her, so she’s cranky, I told Mary to raise you both differently and Lucy differently too to see if she’ll grow up to love you two naturally before revealing the truth for you guys…..I’m so sorry son, it wasn’t my fault” she sniffed and broke down in tears again

Goldy started crying too

“Mother” he called, she looked up at him and held his cheeks, it’s as if calling her mother arose the hope that’s dead in her before, a glint of hope arose in her dark eyes

“Yes son?” She replied and an hug from him followed, he can feel her heart beat fast, hitting on her chest

Mary smiled that at least a quarter of the problem is solved, Principal Josh just kept staring non-stop

This is surprising, shocking, just call it anything, if anyone told him this before now he’d have argued cos they don’t resemble each other at all

Goldy broke the hug with his mum and wiped her tears

“Why did you drop us in the orphanage?” He asked

“I’ll tell everything when Cindy and Lucy are ready to listen” she replied.

” Are you freaking kidding me?” Erica said Immediately the girls broke the news

” A new way to crack a joke huh?” Nina said

” She’s in the principal’s office, you can go see for yourselves” Lucy said, palming her face

” It seems like it’s true, I mean…wait…she’s really your mother?, You guys have a mother?” Erica said

” A look at her face will tell you she’s our mother like Miss Mary said” Cindy replied

” But why is she just coming now?” Nina asked

” We dunno” Lucy said

” You guys should have listened to her instead of running here then” Erica said

” That’s right, Running doesn’t always help, in fact it ruins some situations, I mean situations like this is where running can be regretted, please you both need to go back to that office now and listen to her own part of the story” Nina said

” Should a mum have a reason to leave her kids?” Lucy said

“Just listen to yourself, look you’re not in the moon, you’re on Earth and things happen, I mean f*cking unexpected things, so you might be wrong about her, and I’m sure her reason will be worth listening to since she came back to you guys” Erica said

” Yes, that’s the point, SHE CAME BACK, at least look at the good side for once, you guys won’t be addressed as orphans anymore so let’s go into that office right now and listen to what she has to say” Nina said, pulling Lucy

Erica held Cindy and they left for the principal’s office .

“I got a job to be a maid at Santos Malik’s house eighteen years ago, I was so happy cos back then, I’m an orphan who lost her parents at a tender age, my friend who’s Mary’s mum warned me against it but I turned deaf ears to her warning since the pay at the dangerous mafia’s house is huge”

“I went for the job and as it was required, I had to live there with them so I was given a room, I was so overwhelmed, not knowing I was getting unfortunate”

“Santos started showing a side I wasn’t expecting, sometimes he spanks my ass while cooking in the kitchen, sometimes he peeps at me while bathing in the bathroom cos I caught him severally”

“Then one day I just finished taking my bath after preparing breakfast, at that time his wife Tanny wasn’t around, he entered my room and forcefully laid with me, taking my virginity by technically raping me, then threatening me not to say it to anyone, he even trapped me in the house and told me I dare not run”

“I stayed in great pain and hurt, then the unexpected happened when I got pregnant with his baby, I was telling him about it when his wife eavesdropped”

“Tanny heard about it and started running after my life, I had to run away from the house and even Santos is trying to kill me too if I refuse to abort the baby, as a young lady I never wanted to endanger my life so I continued running, looking for shelter everywhere, I lived in the orphanage till nine months, my friend who’s Mary’s mother died during my stay and it’s still one of the worse thing that has ever happened to me”

“I gave birth after nine months and shockingly you guys came as cute triplets though Lucy has always been cranky since birth, and when I figured out Santos and his wife might kill me if I continue staying, he might even kill my babies if he finds out, I decided to leave, it was Mary who lent me my flight money from the orphanage funds”

” I should have left with you guys but it’s too dangerous to travel with new born babies, I figured out that the plane might not be a safe place for you guys and as a result, I had to leave you guys for Mary to take care of you guys, I came back home just yesterday when I heard of Santos Malik’s death with his wife, kids I never meant to hurt your feelings” Tessy explained

” How did you cope at the place you went to?” Cindy asked

” I met a woman who employed me as her personal maid, she was supper rich and when she realized I’m good at what I do, she made me her secretary, I took adult classes together with it and luckily I blended in, then from his secretary, I became his general manager, when she died last year, I got all her properties cos she passed them down in my name” Tessy replied…

” How sad” Principal Josh commented

“I’m touched” Erica said

“Go give the poor woman a hug” Nina said, nudging Lucy…

The three of them stood at once and went to her, they hugged her tightly and Tessy won’t stop crying, the triplets are crying too, tears of joy and great reunion dampened their clothes

“I’m glad all is well now” Mary heaved, fighting her tears…

Geoffrey’s mansion**

Tiffany woke up feeling much better, *the advantages of sleeping soundly*

She smiled and pulled the duvet closer before sitting up on bed

“When did I even get here?, I guess Geo carried me” she said slowly, getting down from the queen sized bed

She entered a room she figured out to be the bathroom which is just as big as her whole house…

well I wouldn’t expect less from a Commissioners son

She got a new brush and brushed thoroughly before going out of the room

She opened the next door stealthily and luckily it’s Geoffrey’s room but what she saw made her close the door instantly, he’s shirtless in bed and looks hot

She closed her eyes, “good job geography, good job” she said silently

She went downstairs and the maids stared at her as if she’s a picture

“Stop staring” she mouthed

“Yes ma’am” they bowed

Tiffany used her phone screen as a mirror and looked at her hair

“Did I grow White hair overnight?, Ma’am?, I’m still eighteen” she replied

” Young master told us to address you like that” one of them replied

” Well done geography” she muttered and quickly remembered something

“How old is he?” She asked

“I once heard he’s twenty two, he’s a graduate of university of England, he graduated early this year” a maid said

” Oh..nice” Tiffany replied and made to enter the kitchen

“Ma’am you can’t enter the kitchen, just name anything you want and we’ll get it cooked” they said

She looked back with her arms akimbo, ” ok I want tomatoronni” she said

The maids looked at each other in bewilderment, theres nothing nothing like tomatoronni in the whole universe

“I’ve only heard of pepperoni” one of them said

“Then keep shut and let me make my food myself” she replied and entered the kitchen despite their consistent begging

Honestly there’s nothing like tomatoronni but she wants to be the one to make her own food….

“Let’s make….. salad, yeah salad” it’s her best food

She gathered the ingredients and found a knife but at the third slice, she mistakenly cut her pointer finger

“Ouch!” She winced and all the eight maids rushed in

“Ma’am are you ok?, Ma’am we told you” they kept saying as her finger started bleeding

“Why are you girls shivering?, It wasn’t my head I mistakenly cut, it’s just a small cut on my finger…calm down ok?” She said

” What’s going on?” Geoffrey asked, coming inside the kitchen, he’s still shirtless and Tiffany had to swallow hard at the sight, his abs are s*xy and talk of his navel, it’s too cute!

She quickly hid her bleeding hand behind her back as the maids surrounded her but when he got to them, the maids made way and he grabbed the hand she was hiding

He looks shocked at what he saw

“What’s this?” He said, facing the maids

“We…we told her but…

“But what!, How can you allow her finger to get cut like this!, What are you guys doing!” He yelled angrily

First time Tiffany saw his angry side, she watched as he vent his anger on his maids while still holding her hand

He looks this angry just because she got a small cut?

Her eyes caught his bare body again but she quickly turned away before she’ll start imagining weirdly

“Geoffrey I’m fine, it’s just a small cut and you don’t need to shout at the innocent maids, they told me but I insisted” she finally said

” If you’re fine I’m not!” Geoffrey faced her, care and concern roamed his handsome face

“Why aren’t you fine?”

“You don’t get it do you?, I’ll rather get beaten up to death than to let the smallest scratch appear on your smallest finger…. come let’s get it treated” he said and started pulling her upstairs

” Just…what kind of a guy are you?” Tiffany thought as she followed him..
