Erica can think of nothing that moment but to hug him, and she did

She hugged him tight and he reciprocated, hugging her back

“Thanks for saving me” she said

“Is there something between you two?, I mean.. did you two for once date?” He asked immediately they let go of each other

” No…. Come” she said and pulled his hand into the lab

She dropped her books on the table and faced him

“Nelson you won’t get mad at me for what I’m about to say right? ” She said

” I can’t get mad at you” he replied

Turned me down… I got hurt and you did the worse by yelling at me in the club the other time, it hurts more, I met Mickey in the club and we talked, he appeared in Hilary on Monday and offered to help by…. Acting as an item with me just to know if you actually feel something for me” she said

” It was all a game?” he said slowly

“Yes… and when I got what I wanted already, I mean..you apologized and wanted to be friends with me again…I ended the game with him but ion know why he’s suddenly like this” she said

He inhaled hard

” I’m sorry for playing the…

” Hey no!, I don’t want to hear sorry from you, it’ll only increase my guilt cos it all started with me, I should be the one saying sorry” he said

Erica kept standing, looking at him

“I’m sorry a million times” he said

“It’s ok” she replied, smiling slowly

*Let’s do what we came here for” he said

*Sure” she replied and they settled down to read and learn from each other

For over four hours, they’re still up and reading till Erica started sleeping in her sitting position

Her head started swaying sidewards as she kept dozing off even with the pen in her hand

Nelson stood and went to her

He gently placed her head on his shoulder and stayed still to give her comfortability

He kept looking at her in her sleeping position…

He smiled before gently taking her hand

He rubbed the back of it with his thumb gently

“The truth is that…I never knew someone like you can ever fall In love with me….that pride hid my feelings when you confessed, I behaved like a jerk and told you off, but now..I think I know what I feel…..” He thought….

He stayed like that till the next morning without sleeping a wink

Erica yawned softly after opening her eyes, she felt her head on something, she raised her head and came face to face with Nelson

He has slight dark circles under his eyes as a result of the sleepless night

“You didn’t sleep?” She said surprisingly

” I watched you sleep” he replied

Erica hid her face with her palm and smiled

“I wasn’t even aware of when I slept off” she said

” Yeah, sleepyhead” he replied and stuck out his tongue a little

“That was cute” she said

They both laughed

“Let’s go” he said and helped her pack her books, she took it and he took the cross bag containing his books too

They left the place for their various hostels…

“I’m back!” Erica screamed immediately she entered the hostel

“Welcome back from the love ride” Cindy said

“Love ride?, We read for over four hours, I was wondering if he doesn’t get tired..I even fell asleep without knowing, only to wake up on his shoulder” she said

“like seriously?” Nina said

” Trust me” she replied, dropping her books

” We’re having English today, I hate English” Lucy said, entering the room, dressed up already

” Stop talking as if you’re not brilliant enough to tackle it” Erica said

“Being brilliant is one thing, hating a subject is another thing” Lucy replied, falling on Erica’s bed

” Lazybone” Erica said and entered the bathroom cos she’s the only one left who hasn’t bathed..

” That’s me” he replied, smiling and taking off his shirt

” So how was it?” Goldy asked

” Like how?, We read, nothing more” Nelson replied

” Tiffany I love your hair colour, is it your real hair color or is it dye?, If it’s dye then where did you get it from?, Which product is it?” A waiter asked Tiffany who’s busy washing cups

The girl has been trying to be close to her but she has no time for her

She decided to ignore her and continue washing

“Tiffany…” The girl called again..

She finished washing the cups and joined the other waiters in serving …

“Another bad day” she muttered as she saw Geoffrey entering the shop

” Minaj please be the one to serve table 6″ she whispered, referring to the table Geoffrey is sitting at

” You just told me not to talk to you so I’m not interested” Minaj replied and made to go but she held her hand

” Ok I’m sorry, Please…I really hate being around that guy, only you can help please!” She said, rubbing her palms together

“Will you be my friend after I might have done that?” She asked

Minaj made to go again but she pulled her back again

“Ok I’m serious, in fact we’re friends now” she said, making cute faces

Tiffany took it and they shook hands

“Good girl” she said as Minaj left to take the orders…

” What of the other girl…..wait, what’s her name?” Geoffrey asked immediately Minaj got to her

He smiled and brought out his phone

“Can you give me her number?”

“I actually don’t have her number, she’s a loner who talks to no one, I’m actually just trying to be close to her” Minaj replied

” She said she doesn’t want to see your face” Minaj replied

He checked the menu and ordered something to eat

Minaj left to get it

“Hey” Tiffany whispered to her from her hiding place in the kitchen

Minaj looked at the back of the door and saw her

“Is it that bad?, Hiding because of him?” She said

“Ion know, what did he say?” Tiffany asked

” Nothing, he only asked your name” Minaj replied

” I told him”

She looks vicious, angry and stern but cute, she’s Pretty too

“I’m sorry” Minaj said cutely

Tiffany calmed down

“Thanks for serving in my place anyways” she said

” Still friends?’ Minaj asked

Tiffany kept walking away like she won’t answer till she suddenly stopped and looked back

“Of course, I never go back on a deal” she replied before leaving the kitchen completely

Minaj smiled and left too..

Erica just finished easing herself in the restroom after the first paper

The English exam was cool though, thanks to Nelson’s tutorial

She came out of the restroom and saw Mickey waiting outside

She made to walk past him but he pulled her back

“Erica I’m sorry about last night, I don’t know what got into me and…

“Let me go” she interrupted

“I’m sorry” he said again

“Let go of me” she said

“Erica …

” Mickey leave my hand” she said sternly

He left her hand slowly and just as she’s about to walk out, he grabbed her again and hit her back on the wall, holding her two hands up and pinning them to the wall hard

“I said I’m sorry!” He said loudly

Erica looked at him in fear, his eyes is full of what she’s unable to understand

“I’m..I’m hurting…my…my hand” she said slowly

Mickey got back to his senses and let go of her slowly, the wrist he held are all red

She ran out of the place instantly

“Erica!” He called after her but she’s out of sight

He hit his fist on the wall in frustration

“Damn!”

“Thanks for letting me be your friend” Minaj said during the walk home with Tiffany after today’s work

“It’s nothing, just be cool” Tiffany replied and dipped her hand into her pocket, her cigarette box fell, she took it and put it In her pocket again

“You smoke?” Minaj asked

“Any problem with that?” She asked

“It’s really not good for the health” Minaj replied

“I hate nagging” Tiffany replied

“And I hate smoking” Minaj replied

” How brave” Tiffany said with a short smile..

” Tiffany Alphonse, daughter of Chen the womanizer?* Minaj said

“Yeah” she replied

” Don’t dare call him my dad anymore, I renounced him already” Tiffany said

” That car has been following us” Minaj said, noticing the white car

” It belongs to Geography, I know he has been following us” she replied…

” You won’t understand” Tiffany replied and suddenly grabbed Minaj’s hand, they ran into a busy market till they’re in the middle of the crowd

“What was that?” Minaj asked, breathing loudly and holding her chest as they entered a coffee shop…

“He’ll lose sight of us, it’s the guy from the restaurant earlier” Tiffany replied

Minaj got them burgers from a stand and they ate slowly

“I’m an orphan, I lost them since I was sixteen, and since then, I’ve been taking care of myself” Minaj said

” You don’t hate life for taking away your parents?” Tiffany asked

“Why will I hate life or anyone?, Hatred destroys, if at all you’ll hate, hate sensibly, don’t hate to destroy yourself” Minaj replied

Tiffany kept looking at her and later ate from her burger

“You might be wrong” Minaj suddenly said, looking at the entrance

Tiffany looked that way and saw Geoffrey just coming in…

“Dive!” Tiffany said and they quickly hid under the table

Geoffrey got to the table and hit his palm on it

He had actually seen then before they hid

“Stop deceiving yourself” he said

They both slowly raise their heads

” What do you want again!, I avoided you enough but here you are….I’m just tired of you” Tiffany said, sweeping up her hair

” You look pretty even with that frowny face” Geoffrey said

“He’s crazy” Tiffany replied, squinting

” Just give me your number” Geoffrey said

” Do you know mosquito?” She asked

” Sure” he replied

” How do you feel when a mosquito keeps singing in your ears?” She asked

” I feel uncomfortable and it’s always annoying, and I feel like killing it” he replied

” Exactly my point, to me you’re behaving like a mosquito right now….so stop! Following! Me!” She said seriously before pulling Minaj out of the shop..

Geoffrey smiled…

“Why do I find her cute even when she’s angry” he thought, dipping his hand in his dark hair…
