“Erica!” Nelson called as she ran down the hallway

She never stopped, she kept running till he held her hand from behind

She took her hand from his grip but stopped

“What? ‘ she asked

” Why were you like that?” He asked

“Like what?”

“I mean… You just ran out like that, is it because I asked you to be my date?, Ok I’m sorry if I’ve trespassed, I’m sorry sorry ok?.. you can just forget about it… I’m sorry once again” he said and smiled a little before leaving

” Shit! ” She said loudly, hitting her food on the ground in frustration

She later went to class

“Mickey hope this is not what I’m thinking? ‘ Rex asked when they joined his table

“What are you thinking?* Mickey asked

” Are you slowly falling for Erica?, Isn’t it too sudden and fast?” Rex said

” Hell no, I’m not… I just don’t know.. what’s happening to me … I dunno” he said like a confused person..

Rex looked at Clinton and Gold

“Love, fast love” Clinton said

“It might be obsession or infatuation too anyways” Goldy said

” I can never get obsessed” Mickey said

” You don’t decide it for yourself, you don’t control what you feel … It’s your heart” Rex said

*I’m off, this ain’t helping” he said and left the dinning hall

The guys looked at each other and started laughing hysterically

“I knew it, Erica is in the middle of a big mess” Clinton said

” But she obviously likes Nelson, if she doesn’t, she won’t have confessed to him though Nelson behaved like a jerk back then” Goldy said

” But what if Erica is over him, what if she choose Mick? ” Rex said

” Then Nelson will die of lovesickness” Clinton said and they all laughed

The lunch break ended and they all went back to class

Principal Josh entered the class to give the sudden news

“You guys are starting exams next week Monday”

“What!!” They all shouted

” I’ve always told you guys to read everyday right?, This is the right time to know the serious ones, next week Monday without delay, you guys are starting exams… I didn’t do it intentionally, it’s because this term calendar was shortened suddenly, it’s happening in all schools so embrace it” principal Josh said before leaving

” My gosh! ” Erica said

“You’re brilliant, we’re all cool… What’s wrong with starting exams on Monday? ” Nina said

” Ion know, so we won’t be going to booze night tonight” Erica said

*Sure, till next week Friday when we’d have been done with the exams” Cindy replied…

” By the way Erica, why don’t you stop this game of a thing, it’s getting out of hand so to prevent what happened earlier from happening again, you have to break it” Erica said

” I’ve been thinking too… But…

” But what? ” They all asked at the same time

” It’s Nelson you love right?, He’s back to his senses so just settle things with him” Cindy said

“I’ll…. Try” she replied slowly

” Better” Nina said

Night**

Tiffany just finished disinfecting the bruises on her face and now since she’s no more in school

Maybe the game ended, she picked a cigarette and lightened it

She puffed on it and smoked with pleasure, she missed it a lot

“I miss you” she said silently

She has planned to look for a waitress job at a restaurant and just work to feed herself since she isn’t spending her dad’s money anymore…

She continued smoking till she smoked almost five sticks

She checked out her face in the mirror

She swells aren’t there again, thanks to self treatment, it has dissappeared

Only the few bruises

She dropped the mirror and her mind drifted to Hilary high

“I miss school” she thought sadly, tears dropped from her eyes as she did…

“I’m glad I’ve covered almost all the syllabus, thanks to you I have no problem with the sudden exams” Nina said during tonight’s tutorial

It’s 12am already but they’re both still not feeling sleepy

“It’s nothing, so far it’s for my baby” he replied

“But Gold” she said

” Yeah?”

” How do you manage to be handsome, brilliant, perfect at the same time” she said

” Ion know, maybe it’s what I choose” he replied and stood….

“I envy you” she replied

He got to her and carried her on the table…

“Envying your boyfriend?” He said , looking at her passionately

” Yeah….you know you’re different from all the guys in Hilary High” she said, holding him by the sides

” First time I’m hearing that” he replied, holding her cheek

” I love you” she said

“More pinch from here” she replied and he kissed her instantly

She responded straight without delay, letting her hand caress the whole of him

He kept the kiss steady at first but it later got hard like the other time and she even prefers that

It’s making her feel more Sparks

His palm suddenly went under her skirt and he’s about to start caressing her thighs when he stopped

“I’m sorry… I lost myself” he said slowly

“No…. It’s allowed, you can touch me Gold” she replied, pulling him closer

” Nope, you won’t be able to concentrate, let’s just finish exams first” he replied

She kissed him lightly and smiled

“It’s fine” she said

“Love you” he said and hugged her

“More” she replied….

No one went for booze night that night, who’ll want to fail??

Next day**

Clinton decided to go read in the library since it’s Saturday and it’ll be quiet than usual

He got there and is surprised

Students are already there…. they’re really really ready for this sudden exam

He found himself an empty chair and sat in a corner …. But he noticed the hair of the girl sitting in front of him…

He got curious and stood

He went to her and checked her out

She raised her head and his curiousity got satisfied

It’s really Erica

He smiled brightly

“Erica” he said

“Hey Nels”

He brought his book from his table and sat with her

” I never invited you” she said

“I know, I invited myself” he replied

She smiled shortly and continued reading

“I thought you’d be reading with your friends” he said

“Those chatterboxes, if we read together, we’ll end up chatting than reading, so we read separately” she replied

” Oh” he said and faced what he came to read too…

” Nels” she called

*Yes?”

“This math question, I find it difficult, can you help?” She said, showing it to him

” Calculus?, The only devil in math” he said, picking a pen

” Just listen ok?” He said

She nodded and he started explaining as he solved the question…

He finished solving it in minutes and dropped the pen

“Thanks, thanks a lot” she said happily, staring at how clearly be did it…

” It’s nothing” he replied and concentrated back on his book

” You’re good in chemistry too right?” She asked

“Sure” he replied

“Then I have difficult questions on that too” she said, bringing it out

He took it and it didn’t take long before he was able to solve it

“I’m impressed” she said

He smiled and continued smiling till she looked away

Mickey watched from his angle in the library and felt something he can’t explain , he has been watching them since they started…

“Mickey get a hold of yourself, please!’ he said to himself…

After she came out of the library and Nelson left, he went to her

“Erica …

” Oh good, let’s go talk” Erica said and pulled his hand to a corner

“What’s this about?” He said

“Us .. please let’s stop the game, I know I ruined everything…fine but I can’t do it anymore” she said

” What!”

” I’m sorry but we have to stop, I just wanted to make Nelson regret and come back, and I think that’s happening already so let’s stop now” she said…

” Erica…

“Thanks for offering to help, you’ll still remain my best male friend” she said and smiled before trying to leave

He held her back and she looked at him questioningly

He slowly let go of her hand

“It’s fine, we’re still friends right?” He asked

” Sure, best of friends” she replied and left instantly…

“You’re hired” madam Mimi the owner of the restaurant said after some interrogation with Tiffany…

“Thanks ma’am” she replied as politely as she can

“Lateness is not condoned, and slacking off while at work is prohibited, so brace up” she said

She was given the apron which she wore on her trousers and shirt before joining the others

She remained frowny , making other waiters avoid her….

She served as diligently as she can and got good comments from madam Mimi herself throughout, to the envy of the other waiters…

“To table four, he’s our regular customer so make sure you make no mistake, serve as diligently as you’ve been serving” madam Mimi said as she took the tray of food..

She went to the table and dropped the food on it, the guy is busy pressing his phone

“I’ll need a bottle of….

He looked up and smiles took over his face…

“Clubhouse girl” he said, smiling more widely

“Shut up or I’ll hit you… just eat” she replied

It’s the guy who saved her

” Do you ever smile?, It’s bad” he said

” Anything else you want?” She asked

” Do you even still remember my name?” He asked

” Geography” she replied

” It’s Geoffrey, not geography” he replied

” Well I’ll keep calling you geography so take it or leave it, is there anything else you want to order?, This will be the last time I’ll be asking” she said

” What’s your name?” Geoffrey asked

Tiffany picked her tray and made to go…

“Madam!, I need to talk to her for a minute!” Geoffrey said loudly

” Sure Geoffrey!” Madam Mimi replied

He grabbed her hand and started pulling her out of the restaurant

“Look Geography, I won’t tell you my name if that’s what you still want so let me go” she said, trying to free herself but he won’t let go

They got to the front of the restaurant and he looked closely at her face

“It’s better, no swells again, you were behaving like a blind old woman that night, I know you’d have been hit by a car if not for me” he said

” So you’re giving self appraisal now Mr Geography?” She said

” Don’t call me that” he replied

” What are we doing here?, As you can see I’m busy inside” she said

” Tell me your name or at least give me your number” he said, bringing out his phone

” Is your brain using the blood from your d*ck?, Geography you need to leave… thanks for helping that night anyways… good luck, if you like come in and eat your food, if you like, don’t eat it.. madam Mimi’s dog will have a nice meal tonight” she said and rolled eyes at him before going in

Geoffrey smiled and returned his phone to his pocket

“Harsh personality” he said…
