Nathan was driving a BMW that was ten times the price of Siegfried’s Benz.

Nathan walked over and smiled politely. “Ms. McDonald. What were you and my wife talking about? It sounded interesting.”

Lulu and her boyfriend Siegfried both flushed red. She quickly waved her hands, “Nothing, nothing…”

She then grabbed her boyfriend, as they ran out with their tails between their legs.

In the living room at the Smiths.

Sean, along with Samuel and Paul, and some other relatives had surrounded themselves around a very important guest.

This important guest was around twenty-seven years old and was wearing a tailored Armani suit, with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses sitting on his nose. He was emanating a unique and regal aura.

He was none other than Felix Logan, the third son of the Logan family.

The Smiths had a certain standing in Channing. But in terms of the south region or the whole nation, they were practically non-existent.

As for the Logans, they were an aristocratic family, one of the elites. They were many tiers above the Smiths.

At this moment, Sean was grinning at Felix, “Mr. Logan, why did you come all the way to Channing?”

Felix smiled, “Channing is a nice city and is filled with potential. I’m preparing to expand over here.”

Sean opened his eyes wide in surprise, “Channing may be good, but it’s incomparable to Alberesque.”

“The Logans are incredibly prominent in Alberesque and have access to all kinds of resources. Why would Mr. Felix disregard all of that?”

Felix answered subduedly, “I don’t wish to rely on my family. I want to try carving out my own path, to prove myself to my father.”

Sean smiled, “Is that so? It Looks like Mr. Felix will become a force to be reckoned with, inciting a tsunami of change to the business world in Channing.”

Felix answered reservedly, “You’ve over-exaggerating. I came with a will to learn and put what I’ve learnt into practice. Also, the reason I chose this place was because there’s someone here whom I can’t forget.”

This perked the interest of Sean and the others, who were keen to know who such a person was.

Felix smiled, “I studied in Channing University and was an alumnus alongside your Penny. I’ve gone abroad to further my studies these few years, but I haven’t been able to forget her. Speaking of, where’s Penny? I haven’t seen her?”

The whole Smith family opened their eyes wide when they heard what Felix had said.

Who would have thought, the person Mr. Felix was unable to forget was none other than Penny Smith!

Sean was feeling both excited and awkward.

Excited because Mr. Felix had an interest in Penny and awkward because Penny had been kicked out of their family.

Samuel took the chance to answer, “Mr. Felix, there’s something that you don’t know. Penny insisted on marrying a useless bum, even at the expense of cutting ties with our family.”

Paul also answered regretfully, “That’s right. She’s with Nathan Cross now and even has a child tying her down. She no longer deserves your consideration.”

Sean and the others were filled with regret. If Penny had not gotten with Nathan, they could have married her off to Felix.

To be able to become in-laws with aristocrats like the Logans was something that people would not even dare to dream of.

Sean was carefully letting Felix know that he and Penny were not suited for each other and that they no longer had a chance to be together.

But what came as a surprise to everyone was Felix’s next words. “I’ve heard about Penny’s situation over the years. She was raped by a drunkard and bore the child out of wedlock.”

“She intended to raise the child alone, but the drunkard, Nathan Cross, had unexpectedly sought her out.”

“Penny is a gentle-hearted soul. For her child’s sake, she compromised and settled for that useless Nathan Cross.”

Felix’s gaze darkened. “I don’t care about Penny’s past. I will get rid of that useless Nathan Cross, and I will give her the happiness that she deserves. I also hope that her relationship with the Smith family can be restored.”
