At the Creek family’s former residence.
On normal days, only Jeffrey and Saria lived here. The other members of the Creek family had their own place in Sioux. However, today they had gathered for a meeting.
Jeffrey had two sons and a daughter.
The eldest son, Barry Creek, served as the president of the Creek Group. His wife, Juliet, supported him at work because his abilities were mediocre. Fortunately, he had not caused any trouble for the Creek Group.
The second son, Darwin, served as the vice president of the Creek Group. He was much more capable than Barry. He was unmarried and worked year-round.
Lastly, their only daughter, Dixie, was the queen of jewels.
“Dad, Francis has divorced Dixie. She signed a deed of transfer for Alexander’s son. Now, all our properties belong to the Robertson family. This morning, the Robertson family came to the company and kicked us out! They were already much stronger than us. Now that Dixie has signed the deed, we can’t shamelessly stay if we want to. They won’t leave us alone.
Darwin lit a cigarette and upsetly told Jeffrey what had happened.
Jeffrey frowned without saying anything.
“Dad, say something. We can’t let the Robertson family take our fortune.”
Darwin was anxious because his good days would come to an end if the Creek Group failed.
“Why are you panicking?” Saria glared at him. “We have so many jewels in our warehouse. The key is still in our hands. Even if they took our assets, we can still live comfortably.”
“Mom, you’re wrong. The jewels are the reason why the Robertson family tricked Dixie. Although the key is in our hands, the jewels belong to the company. Dixie, Alexander, and us are just outsiders, do you understand?” Darwin explained the situation to Saria.
Saria became anxious. “I’m not an outsider. The key to the warehouse is with me. These jewels are mine. No one can take them away!”
“Yes, Mom is correct.” Barry agreed. “The jewels are ours, and no one can take them away!”
Jeffrey and Darwin remained silent because they knew that this was not as simple as they had imagined. Now that the Robertson family had acquired the Creek family’s property, they could become the top-tier family, replacing the Gray family. They could also become members of the Sun and Moon Chamber of Commerce.
If the Robertson family refused to hand over the jewels, the members of the Sun and Moon Chamber of Commerce could make the Creek family disappear overnight with their power.
“Dad, what’s your opinion?” Darwin asked Jeffrey.
Jeffrey took a sip of tea. “Based on the current situation, we can’t prevent the Robertson family from stealing our property. After all, Dixie has already signed the contract. There’s nothing we can do about it.”
“What do you mean, Dad? Do you want to give the Robertson family all of our fortune and jewels?”
“Are you crazy? I would never agree to that! The jewels are mine,” Saria yelled frantically.
“I’m sorry, but the jewels don’t belong to you, but to Aunt Dixie and me,” a mocking voice said.
Everyone turned around and saw Lucian, Dixie, Freya, and Austin.
Upon seeing Dixie, Saria pointed at her and cursed. “Stupid girl, how dare you come back? You’re such a disgrace!”
Saria rushed forward to slap Dixie.
Lucian reached out and stopped Saria.
“What an unreasonable old lady! You simply claimed our jewels and now you want Aunt Dixie?”
“Who are you?” Saria stared at Lucian and asked.
“I’m Lucian!”
Lucian… Alexander’s biological son.
Upon hearing the name, the Creek family members excitedly got up from their seats. Barry pointed at Lucian and yelled, “You! Dixie was tricked by the Robertson family because of you!”
“Well, that’s true.” Lucian did not deny it. “However, I will take responsibility for it and help Aunt Dixie get back her belongings. No one can claim Aunt Dixie’s property.”
Lucian said this to urge the Robertson family to hand over Dixie’s property as soon as possible.
“What do you mean, b*st*rd?” Saria asked while glaring at Lucian.
Lucian sneered. “Old lady, isn’t it obvious? There are some jewels worth a billion dollars in the warehouse that belong to Aunt Dixie and my dad. The key to the warehouse is in your hands, right? Please return it to me.”
The Creek family understood Lucian’s purpose for visiting.
Jeffrey and Darwin looked at each other calmly.
Barry and Saria suddenly went berserk. They ignored Lucian but questioned Dixie. “Dixie, you’re getting bolder, huh? You sold the Creek family’s property secretly and brought people here to ask for things. Betrayer!”
“Some part of it belonged to Lucian from the very beginning,” Dixie said softly.
Saria was furious. “The jewels belonged to the Creek family. They have nothing to do with anyone else! What is your relationship with Lucian? Why are you standing on his side?”
“Mom, Dixie must have cheated on Francis. Otherwise, how could he divorce her?” Juliet came forward and said.
“Mom, don’t listen to Juliet’s nonsense…”
Before Dixie could finish speaking, Juliet retorted, “Dixie, who doesn’t know that you were close to Alexander when you were young? You were always together with him. You couldn’t seduce him, and now you’re targeting his son. It seems like your wish came true. Shameless b*tch!”
These words made Dixie furious.
“Hey, are you going too far?” Austin shouted. “You’re so salty. Watch out for your health!” M
“How dare you curse me?” Juliet roared.
“Am I wrong? Based on what Dixie did for Lucian, I think they slept together countless times!”
She completely angered Lucian.
Judging from Juliet’s attitude towards Dixie, Dixie had a difficult life in the Creek family.
“Slap!” Lucian slapped Juliet. “So what if we’re cursing you? I’m slapping you too. What can you do?”
