The three of them turned around to see Simon scrambling up the hill, panting and red-faced from running too fast.

“Staleridge War God is going to kill Lucian,” he blurted out.

Lilian’s heart clenched at the words. She had been living in the countryside for some time, preparing to move her husband’s grave, and had no idea what was happening in Sioux. She rushed over to Simon and asked, “What did you just say?”

 “Lilian, forget about moving the grave. You need to take Lucian and run. Staleridge War God and the Gray family have arrived with their men, and they’re after him,” Simon, explained, frantic with worry.

But before he could finish, they heard Lucian coughing nearby.

 Simon looked over at Lucian and clamped his mouth shut. It was clear that Lucian didn’t want Lilian to know what was going on.

 “Lucian, what’s with the coughing??” Lilian glared at him before turning back to Simon. “What happened, Simon? Tell me.”

 Simon glanced at Lucian, who was shaking his head incessantly. But Simon knew he couldn’t keep the truth from Lilian any longer. If they waited any longer, Staleridge War God and his men would arrive, and they would be trapped.

“Lilian, Lucian played a deadly game with the Staleridge War God’s nephew to save me. Sylvain died because of it. Now Staleridge War God, the Gray family, Oscar, Larry, and the chairman of the Big Five are all coming to Sioux Peak to take down Lucian. You and Lucian need to leave as soon as possible before it’s too late.”

Simon laid it all out for Lilian.

Boom.

Lilian’s mind exploded with the news, leaving her in a daze and unable to think straight.

They had angered Staleridge War God!

Lilian’s expression went blank, her eyes filled with a thick layer of terror. She remained silent for nearly a minute before turning to Lucian and angrily asking, “You little brat, what have you been hiding from me?”

“Mom, today is the day of Father’s grave relocation. Let’s not get angry, your health is not good,” Lucian said, concerned about his mother’s well-being and not providing any further explanation about the situation.

“Let’s go!!” Lilian calmly grabbed Lucian’s hand and began to run downhill. She had already lost her husband, and she couldn’t bear to lose her son as well. However, what surprised her was that Lucian didn’t intend to leave. He stood there like a rock, unmoved.

“What are you doing? Let’s go!” Lilian tugged hard at Lucian’s arm and urged him to leave.

“Mom, today is the day of Father’s grave relocation. There, are still many things to be done. We can’t just leave like this,” Lucian replied, his eyes fixed on the grave.

 “Father cared about his reputation so much that he would be unhappy if the relocation is only half done,” he continued.

“Slap!”

Anger ignited in Lilian’s eyes, and she landed a hard slap on Lucian’s face, shouting, “Lucian, let me tell you, things have come to this point, and you’re still trying to act tough? Your father died a tragic death in the streets of Hohenwald because of his stubbornness. I can’t bear to lose you too.”

 Lilian was known for her good temper, and she had never hit Lucian before. This was the first time.,

 “Mom, don’t be angry, I have to be honest with you about something,” Lucian took a deep breath and spoke with seriousness. “Actually, I am the Infernal War God of the Nordfren War Zone…”

 “In reality, you’re just a mess sergeant under the Infernal War God in the Nordfren War Zone,” interrupted Gabriel as he led a group of Bowmans up the hill. His eyes were filled with rage as he glared at Simon and shouted, “You traitor! How dare you secretly come up here to see these two? Are you trying to get us all killed?”

 “Dad, Lucian saved my life. I have to face this with him,” Simon replied stubbornly.

 “Snap!” Gabriel was furious. He took a step forward and raised his hand to slap Simon’s face hard, shouting, “You risked your life to come here for this shameless mother and son? Is it worth it?”

“How dare you hit him?” Lilian pulled Simon behind her and glared at Gabriel. “When you came to our house begging for Lucian’s help a few days ago, you didn’t have this attitude. My son offended the Guevara family because he saved the Bowman family, didn’t he?”

 “Hah!” Gabriel spat on the ground and sneered, “He went to save on his own accord, what does it have to do with us? How is he offending the Guevara family related to us? If he wants to die, go ahead, but don’t drag our Bowman family into it.”

 “You…you’re shameless!” Lilian’s face turned red with anger as she gritted her teeth.

 “Lilian, you and your son are completely finished, Gabriel replied coldly.

Susan sneered at Lilian and said in a flat tone, “Staleridge War God has brought tens of thousands of troops, not only from the military but also from the underground world. They’re about to seal off Sioux Peak. I heard they were going to desecrate Alexander’s grave and bury him and Lucian at the foot of the mountain, making them Sylvain’s slaves for all eternity. Who knew that even after his death, Alexander would suffer so much? What a great man he was.”

 “What??” Lilian’s stomach churned with anger and her eyes dimmed as soon as she heard this news. She could barely stand.

Gabriel burst into laughter, a particularly wild and manic laugh. “It serves him right,” he said. “When Alexander was at the height of his power, he only gave us Bowman family a pittance. Now he’s dug up and stolen, all because of his own misdeeds. And your son, so young, is going to be killed and buried at the foot of the mountain, as someone else’s slave. You’re about to become childless, and it’s all because of Alexander’s sins. Do you understand?”

The words were like a thousand arrows piercing Lilian’s heart, causing unbearable pain. In the end, she couldn’t bear it anymore and spat out a mouthful of blood before fainting in Lucian’s arms.

 “Mom, Móm!” Lucian shouted in desperation, but there was no response. He immediately called out, “Austin, Austin!”

Austin hurriedly went over and checked her pulse. After a moment, he shook his head and said to Lucian with a serious expression, “Lucian, there’s nothing seriously wrong with her. She simply fainted due to a shock to her heart and blood. Auntie Lilian can’t handle any more excitement. Actually, there’s something I haven’t told you yet. Auntie Lilian has a mental illness…”

 “A mental illness?!” Lucian’s eyes widened in anger. “Why didn’t you inform me earlier?”

Austin lowered his head and said softly, “She can’t handle any more excitement, or she will become neurotic.”

“Austin, take my mom down the mountain now. I’ll take care of things here and return as soon as possible. Promise me you’ll take good care of her,” Lucian ordered solemnly.

 Austin lifted Lilian onto his back and nodded firmly. “Don’t worry, Lucian. Auntie Lilian will be fine with me. You take care of things here.”

Soon, before Staleridge War God could block off Sioux Peak, Austin carried Lilian down the mountain and disappeared into the forest.

“Simon, come with me now, we’re running out of time!” Gabriel pulled Simon and urged him to leave.

 “I’m not leaving, I want to stay with my brother,” Simon pushed away Gabriel and went straight to Alexander’s grave, kneeling heavily on the ground. He shouted, “Alex, I’m sorry. We didn’t fulfill our promise to protect Lucian. After I finish here, I’ll make it up to you!”

“You heartless person! You mean nothing to me now!” Gabriel was trembling with anger. “If you want to die, then go ahead and die. From now on, you have no connection to the Bowman family.”

Simon continued to kneel at Alexander’s grave, knocking his head on the ground with red eyes, ignoring Gabriel.

Lucian calmed down a bit and slowly walked up to Alexander’s grave. He spoke in a calm tone, “Father, you were wise and respected, becoming the renowned Father of Commerce and leading countless people to enjoy wealth and glory. But do you know that there were too many sycophants around you? Today, on the day of your grave relocation, I will make those sycophants kneel in front of your grave and apologize to you!”

At that moment, Queenie, Gary, and Pablo climbed up the mountainside together.
