Unrivaled Warrior by Ashley Grey - Season 2 Episode 40
As soon as Frank and Annie caught sight of Orion walking towards them, their expressions turned peculiar. They both knew that Orion was a highly skilled witch doctor, and that he had recently joined forces with the Harrison family to pressure Freya into giving up her project. His sudden appearance now indicated that he had ulterior motives.
“What brings you here?” Annie’s tone was unfriendly as she asked coldly.
“We’re here to help protect Freya,” Orion replied with a faint smile.
“This is a family matter, and we don’t need your interference,” Annie retorted sharply, grabbing Frank’s arm and attempting to leave. Despite being in pain, she was clear-headed. She knew that the Harrison family and Orion wouldn’t offer their help without a hidden agenda.
“Annie, we came here to help out of kindness, so don’t be ungrateful,” Dax said firmly, feeling a little embarrassed after being promptly rejected by Annie.
Orion immediately turned his head and gave Dax a warning glance, silencing him. He then stepped forward to block Annie and Frank’s path, saying, “Annie, Frank, we’ve heard about Freya’s situation. She’s going to accompany Lucian to his death, and although we’ve had conflicts in the past, you’re still part of the Harrison family and Freya is your granddaughter. We can’t just sit idly by and let her die.”
Annie saw the sincerity in Orion’s eyes, and her hostility towards him began to fade, Seizing the opportunity, Orion continued, “Your father, Dax, knows about this too. He’s extremely worried about Freya and deeply saddened to see such a talented young woman with a bright future ahead of her go to waste. And as a mother, you don’t want to see your daughter die in vain, especially since she’s your only child,”
These simple words struck a chord in Annie’s heart, leaving her breathless at the thought of her only daughter facing death.
Frank felt the same way. He had never had a son, so he had treated Freya as his everything. When Freya had become disabled, he had felt like his world was falling apart. But now that she had recovered, he was looking forward to a bright future with her.
He couldn’t just stand by and watch his daughter die.
Seeing their agony, Orion knew that the opportunity had come. He spoke up, “I have a way to save your daughter.”
“What can you do to save my daughter?” Annie and Frank asked in unison.
Orion’s lips curled up slightly as he leaned in and whispered a few words in their ears in a low voice.
Then, Orion turned around and gave Dax a signal with his eyes. The two of them left, leaving Annie and Frank standing there with conflicted expressions. It wasn’t until the two of them disappeared completely into the darkness of the night that Annie and Frank finally reacted.
“Is this really a good idea?” Annie looked at Frank with a pleading look.
“I trust you,” Frank replied in a low voice, unsure of how to answer Annie’s question.
The next moment, Annie closed her eyes and hesitated for several minutes. But when she opened her eyes again, there was a hint of determination in them. “No matter what method we have to use, I can’t just sit by and watch my daughter die. She’s my life!”
In the blink of an eye, two days had passed in silence.
And now it was the day of Lucian’s father’s burial.
The weather was beautiful with bright Gane sunshine, clear blue skies, and not a single cloud in sight – a perfect day. However, the entire city of Sioux was filled with a heavy atmosphere, and it felt unlike the usual Sioux it was bound to be an extraordinary day.
Early in the morning, a large number of military vehicles from various cities gathered in Sioux, and the most alarming thing was that the major forces from the Staleridge War Zone had also arrived, with about two thousand soldiers, all fully armed and wearing green military armor.
Everyone knew that these military forces had come specifically for the Staleridge War God!
Not only the military forces, but also the business forces, as a long line of Mercedes S600s gathered in front of the Gray Group building, each car manned by four black-suited men, each wielding a machete and exuding a menacing aura.
The entire Sioux erupted in a frenzy, and many citizens began to discuss the matter at hand.
“Incredible, all these people are after Lucian, huh? How many people has he offended?”
“I don’t know, but I heard he has offended both military and business forces. This guy is in deep trouble today.”
“I heard they are all headed to Sioux Peak to find Lucian.”
“Will he dare to show up at Sioux Peak today? Maybe he has already fled.”
“Staleridge War God has made it clear, if Lucian doesn’t show up, they will dig up his father’s grave. This guy has offended so many people that not even his dead father can rest in peace. What an ungrateful son he is.”
Meanwhile, at the Robertson Mansion, Dixie was hiding in her room, watching the video her friend sent her, feeling anxious and worried.
In the video, Dixie could see numerous military forces gathering in Sioux, brought in by Staleridge War God to seek revenge on Lucian.
She also heard that Henry, Oscar, Larry, and the Chairman of the Big Five have joined forces with Staleridge War God to go after Lucian.
With so many forces against him, how can Lucian, just a young man, handle this?
“No, I have to save Lucian.”
Dixie was a woman of strong emotions and loyalty. Despite Alexander’s passing a long time ago, she still cherished their past love. Without hesitation, she picked up the phone and dialed an overseas number, saying, “I agree to your terms. As long as you help me save Lucian, I’ll give you all my wealth, including Creek Group. We can sign the contract now.”
“Dixie, are you sure about this? Once you sign the contract, you’ll have nothing left, and the entire Creek family will be mine!” A dark and ominous voice came from the other end of the line.
“Does your husband Francis know about this?”
Dixie remained silent for a moment before speaking up. “Francis will understand me. Besides, I’m spending my own money, not the Robertson family’s money. They will understand me. And everything I have, Alexander gave it to me…”
“Okay,” the man on the other end of the phone said. “Since you’ve made up your mind, come to Horizon Entertainment Club and sign the contract.”
“No problem, I’ll be there soon.”
Dixie pleaded with a prayerful tone, “But you must contact Infernal War God right away and ask them to go to Sioux Peak as soon as possible. No matter what, you can’t let anything happen to Lucian. Please, I beg you.”
“Don’t worry,” the man replied in a dismissive tone before ending the call.
Shortly after, Dixie arrived at the Black Night Entertainment Club and was escorted to a room by a waiter. Inside the room sat a large man sipping tea, with two contracts laid out before him. His name was Brandon, and despite being just the owner of a Sioux entertainment club, he wielded an astonishing amount of influence. He had a strong connection with the Infernal War God.
According to Dixie’s husband Francis, the only person capable of saving Lucian was Brandon, and Dixie was desperate enough to seek his assistance. Lucian had angered the Staleridge War God, and the only way out was to gain the support of the Infernal War God.
“Have you contacted the Infernal War God yet?” Dixie asked anxiously as she approached Brandon.
“As soon as you sign this contract, I will make the call,” Brandon replied with a smirk.
“Alright!” Consumed by her desperation to save Lucian, Dixie signed the contract without hesitation. “I’ve finished signing. Can you call the Infernal War God now?”
“Do you wish to call the Infernal War God? Well, that is a matter you should discuss with your husband,” Brandon’s expression suddenly changed, and he grinned mischievously.
“What do you mean?” Dixie sensed something foreboding and her face contorted with worry, her eyebrows furrowing.
“Hehehe.” Just then, a chilling chuckle emanated from outside the door. Francis appeared at the entrance, dressed in a suit with slicked back hair. He looked at Dixie with an indifferent gaze and said flatly,
“Dixie, when he means is that I, Francis, have divorced you!”
