The armed lackeys charged at Lucian and surrounded him. They raised their weapons and swung it down at the same time, but Lucian was unfazed. Murder flared in his eyes, and he slammed his fist into the thugs. Every punch sent a thug flying into the distance, and none of them could even get near Lucian.
In less than a minute, all the thugs were already on the ground, moaning and groaning in pain. All their weapons were strewn all around the floor.
Todd was flabbergasted and shocked by how powerful Lucian was. He was outnumbered twenty to one, and yet he won the battle in less than one minute. This is terrifying.
Simon and his family inhaled sharply. They too were surprised by what they saw. The last time they saw Lucian was seven years ago, and now he had become more powerful than they could imagine.
Lucian slowly approached Todd, much to the man’s horror. He roared, “Don’t come near me!” He was terrified. All his lackeys fell in an instant, and he was alone now. If Lucian wanted to, he could kill him easily.
Lucian stepped ahead and grabbed Todd by his neck. Darkly, he glared at him. “Austral sent you, didn’t he? He’s working with the Grays and the five great clans?”

The mention of Austral lit up hope in Todd’s eyes. “Yeah, I’m working for King Austral! Hurt me and he’ll make you pay! You and your family!”

“Is that so? Then he won’t mind me breaking a leg, will he?” Lucian tossed Todd onto the ground
and raised his right leg. If he brought it down right now, he would easily break Todd’s leg.

Lucian stopped and turned to Simon. With difficulty, Simon got up and approached Lucian. “He’s working for King Austral. If you hurt him, things will get really bad. You cannot hope to match King Austral. Just listen to me and let him go.”
“Very well.” Lucian nodded and looked at Todd coldly. “For his sake, I’ll show you mercy this time, sc um. Now f*ck off.”
“You’ve done it this time.” Todd got up and ran away, and he hissed, “You’re all done for!”
Even after Todd and his men were gone, Simon and his family still felt nervous. They were worried about the state of affairs after what Lucian did. If King Austral were to get back at them, they would be done for.
Dennis, however, replaced his cowardice with a surge of brash bravado, and he pointed at the escaping Todd. “Yeah, you better run! If I had joined in, you’d be dead by now! No one messed

Lucian and Austin stared at Dennis speechlessly. Hey, my guy. You were hiding in the corner like a coward just now, and now you’re taking credit for everything?
Simon and everyone else ignored Dennis. Instead, they approached Lucian, and Camille said, “That was reckless. Todd’s the lieutenant of King Austral. What you did could have gotten yourself killed.”
Rosine gave Lucian a look of displeasure. The reason her father was abused was all thanks to Lucian’s reckless behavior. “Why’d you have to challenge the Grays and the five great clans? You could’ve lived a quiet life.”
Lucian chuckled, but he didn’t answer. “I got you some presents. See if you like it.”
It was a brand-name bag worth six figures. A luxury item, so to speak, but Rosine wouldn’t take it. Instead, she harrumphed. “Everyone knows my father is friends with yours. You challenging the Grays is only going to bring trouble to my family. All we want now is a quiet life. We want nothing to do with the past, so can you please not rope us into this. Just get your vengeance yourself.”
“You shouldn’t have said that!” Simon roared, “This has nothing to do with you, so shut it!”
“You still want to avenge your friend, Dad?” Rosine gritted her teeth. “You can barely fend for yourself, let alone help your friend out.”

Simon ignored Rosine, then he turned to Lucian. “You are sworn enemies of the Grays and the five great clans. I know you did it for your father, and you have my full support. Tell me if you need anything. I’ll help.”
“Thank you, Uncle Simon.” Lucian was touched by Simon’s determination, and he scolded himself for ever doubting this man. The people who used to work with Alexander had all defected, leaving Simon alone, waiting for the chance of revenge to show up.
“Lucian got you these.” Austin placed everything on the table.
“We’re not taking it.” Rosine refused to take these gifts.
“Why not?” Oh whoa, those are worth a lot. If we sell it, we can make money. He said, “Why not? Dad and Mom got beaten up because of him. This is just recompense. Anything else you have, Lucian?”
“Yeah.” Lucian took a card out and approached the Bowman couple. “There’s a million here. Take it. Tell me if you need more down the line.”
The Bowman couple shook their heads. “We can’t take it. It’s too much.’
But Dennis had no qualms about it, and he took the card. “A million? But your wife’s managing a project worth a billion. Stingy, but I’ll take it. What’s the pa**code?”

“It’s on the back of the card.” Lucian said solemnly, “This is for your parents, Dennis. Don’t spend it all in one place.”
“Pah. My parents’ money is my money. Not like it’s your business anymore, so don’t worry about. it.” Dennis tucked the card away into his pocket, worried Lucian might take it back.
The Bowman couple shook their heads. We shouldn’t have spoiled that boy. Simon said, “Stay for dinner. We’ve never been drinking buddies before, and tonight, we’ll drink till we drop.”
“Sure, Uncle Simon,” said Lucian.
Hearing that Lucian would stay for dinner soured Rosine’s mood, and she left. “You guys go ahead. I’m going to stay at the company for the night.” She was mad about Lucian’s reappearance, for that meant her peaceful life was gone. She knew her father would throw himself into danger just to help Lucian get his revenge. He was that kind of person who’d risk everything for his friend. Da mmit, you shouldn’t have come back.
“Um…” Lucian felt a little awkward.
“Ah, she’s always had a short fuse. Ignore her.” Simon held Lucian’s hand and grinned. “My go ds, what did you learn in the military? You defeated twenty men in a minute on your own. Not even your father was that skilled.”
“Eh, they’re just weak,” said Lucian humbly, smiling.
“You’re going to drink tonight.” He told Camille, “Whip something up for us.”
“I think we should clean things up.” Lucian smiled and cleaned the messy place up with Austin.
