At eight o’clock in the morning, Mike went to the police station to meet Aaron who had been detained there with Hans, but they were not in the same jail. The man heard the news about his biological son’s arrest from the housekeeper. coincidentally that morning he had come to discuss an important matter concerning his past with Sarah.

Currently, Mike is waiting for Aaron who is being picked up by the police from prison. He sat on a chair with his arms resting on the table. ‘If I don’t go, maybe Mr. Hans won’t take revenge for this misunderstanding. Oh my God, I’ve messed everything up,’ he thought regretfully.

After a few minutes of waiting, Mike put a smile on his lips when he saw Aaron coming over to him accompanied by a policeman, then sat in the chair opposite the table in front of him.

“Hi, Aaron,” Mike greeted with a smile.

“What do you need to see me?” asked Aaron flatly. Of course, he is still in a bad mood because he is in jail, even now he is wearing criminal clothes which are oversized t-shirts and baggy trousers. Extremely far from the usual appearance that is always quirky.

“We have something important to talk about,” Mike replied.

“Just say it,” Aaron shouted still curtly.

“I’m the one to blame for everything that happened so far.”

“What do you mean?” asked Aaron, squinting at the middle-aged man in front of him.

“Aaron, you’re not Edward’s son. Your grandfather has misunderstood and led you into a grudge that you shouldn’t have. Your mommy is crazy not only for losing Edward but….” Mike felt his lips becoming nervous. . . he was really afraid of Aaron’s wrath if he found out what the truth was like.

“But what?” asked Aaron with a sharp look. His breath had even caught on because he was wrong to take revenge on Keyra, which had nothing to do with his mother’s suffering, making him feel even more guilty.

“But because your mom didn’t accept when I said that she was pregnant with my child, and it was you. You’re my son, Aaron,” Mike explained with all the strength in his heart. He lowered his head unable to look at Aaron who might be angry with him.

“I’m your son? wait, if you are my dad, why don’t mommy accept? Why did grandpa think I was the son of the late Edward?” Aaron looked confused.

Mike took a deep breath then exhaled slowly. He was mustering up the courage to say the thing that Sarah hated the most.

Aaron silently stared at his biological father who he never expected. There was a sense of disappointment that the man had only said it now that all the chaos had occurred, but there was a glimmer of hope he had about this reality. the man was happy because it turned out that his wife was not related to him by blood, so he could try to keep her.

“Your mom never loved me. She even chased after Edward who just took advantage of her, even almost killed her. The story is complicated. I fucked your mom unknowingly until she got pregnant but she thought it was Edward’s child. That’s why she forced Edward to marry her.” Mike started to tell his story without hiding his badness.

“And just so you know, Edward died not because of Ethan or Luna. but he had to be shot by the police for trying to kill Ethan and Luna. He’s too obsessed with Luna, doesn’t even think of your mom as a wife. I was always there to comfort your mom, but it turned out that the confession about me being the father of the baby she was carrying, actually made her hate me.” Mike explained again at length.

Aaron felt tight, his chest was pounding, his head was like being hit by a blunt object with such force. Mike’s explanation which said that it was not Ethan and Luna that caused Edward’s death, made him feel even more guilty for hating Luna or Keyra who were completely innocent.

“Why? Why did you only come now after everything was messed up? I’ve hurt people I love just because of a fake story from grandpa.” Aaron looked annoyed at Mike. He squeezed his hair in frustration, even his eyes were red. The image of him carving both physical and mental wounds for Keyra seemed to keep wandering through his mind. . . oh my god, the man was so sorry. But in truth, he could not have tortured his wife if he had genuine love and the tenacity to refuse his grandfather’s rule.

“At that time I was disappointed because your mom never considered me more than a friend. Even though I sincerely loved her…I was too disappointed and decided to leave. But even abroad I can’t stop thinking about your mom and you too.” Mike looked at Aaron sadly. He could only surrender if his son would be angry with him.

Aaron just silently regretted all his attitude to Keyra. he doesn’t care about Mike admitting he is his father. Only Keyra he always thought of, because he did not want to be separated from her.

“Aaron, I’m sorry,” Mike said with a tinge of sadness on his slightly wrinkled face.

Aaron looked at Mike with a gaze so cold. “If you want to forgive, fix it all because it’s all your fault. You have to explain to Keyra and her family that I’m not Edward’s child because I don’t want a divorce from Keyra!” he exclaimed curtly, impressed impolite.

“I will try.” Mike nodded in agreement.

Aaron immediately got up from the chair and walked back to the jail without saying goodbye to Mike who he already knew was his real father. Mike, who felt guilty, was not surprised by Aaron’s attitude.

‘Maybe he needs time to forgive all my mistakes,’ Mike thought as he watched Aaron leave who was slowly invisible because he had entered the hallway to prison.

At the hospital, Keyra was sitting on the bed while having breakfast. She was just with her mother who had come home for her favorite dish, then returned to the hospital again. Ethan and the others had returned home to clean up and were about to meet Aaron at the police station. They had already drawn up a plan to make a divorce agreement between Aaron and Keyra.

“Can I go home this morning too, Mom? I want to sleep in my room.” Keyra asked looking at her mother who was clearing the food wrappers on the table near the sofa, because last night she bought a lot of snacks to snack on while chatting.

“Later, when daddy picks us up, we will go home,” answered Luna as she threw the trash in its place. She turned to Keyra who had finished breakfast.

“How, are you still weak, dizzy, or nauseous?” asked Luna, raising her eyebrows.

Keyra just shook her head then said, “I just want to go home, Mom. I want to draw at home, spend every day with my family.”

Luna took a deep breath and then wrapped her arms around Keyra. “You must have been very depressed all this time. I’m sorry mom and dad realized too late.”

“Don’t worry about it, Mom. Because it’s all my fault for not daring to complain,” said Keyra as she let go of her mother’s embrace. She smiled as if to show that she was fine even though what she was going through would be tough. She has confirmed the decision to divorce and will undergo pregnancy without a husband.. It was something she had never really thought of.
