Keyra walked down the hospital corridor to meet Aaron who was in a room to recover his weak condition from donating his blood to Jasmine.

Arriving at the intended room, Keyra saw Aaron who was sitting on the bed holding his smartphone.

“I’ll be back in two hours,” Aaron said to someone on the phone then hung up. He turned to look at Keyra who came over to him.

“Who’s calling?” Keyra asked as she took the bread and which was located on a small plate on the table near the bed.

“Office people asked me to come back soon,” replied Aaron.

“Don’t come back if you’re still weak, you have to eat and drink milk,” said Keyra and then sat down beside Aaron. “I will feed you,” she continued as she give the bread into her lover’s mouth.

Aaron smiled amused then ate the bread that Keyra had fed..

Keyra looked relieved and proud at Aaron who was now eating bread. She was proud that her lover was willing to sacrifice for her sister-in-law.

“Thank you, Aaron…You’re kind to help Jasmine, even your work time is disrupted because of this,” said Keyra with a bend in her face then returned to feed a piece of bread to Aaron.

Aaron ate the bread then replied, “it’s okay.” Aaron finished the bread in his mouth first.

“Since I became your lover, Keenan and anyone related to you, have also become my family, because I want to have a serious relationship with you. I want us to get married one day if you are willing,” Aaron said with a hopeful look and grabbed Keyra’s left hand, then kissed it.

Keyra felt touched and her heart seemed to be beating faster than usual. her body seemed to tremble with joy from Aaron’s words that touched on marriage. Is it true that he will marry Keyra for love? They had only been dating for about two weeks. This is too short, is Aaron just waging his revenge? “Will you marry me?” Aaron asked interrupting Keyra’s daydream

Aaron smiled faintly then looked down at Keyra’s right hand and devoured the piece of bread that Keyra was still holding. He immediately finished the bread with the lover who kept staring at him.

“Do you love me?” Keyra asked with a probing look.

Aaron didn’t answer right away. Instead, he took a glass of milk on the table and drank it until it was finished.

Keyra patiently waited for Aaron’s answer. She wants to listen to the sincerity of her lover’s love because stepping into marriage requires a strong foundation of love. Because if she thinks about economic problems, it is no longer the main interest because they both have abundant assets. Genuine and holy love is needed to be sure to step into the marriage ladder so that it can last a lifetime.

Aaron breathed a sigh of relief after finishing a glass of milk and a piece of bread. It had made him full and seemed to have recovered his strength. The man turned to look at Keyra and then took her hands.

“Babe.” Aaron looked into Keyra’s eyes intensely. “When I say I want to marry you, it means I love you, really love you, and want to spend my hard life living with you, having children, even having grandchildren. Until we grow old, I want to always be with you in joy or sorrow.”

Keyra looked at Aaron with a fluttering feeling. She was touched by her lover’s words but still doubts and thinks about her future because she has not succeeded in achieving her goals.

“Aaron, I do love you, but I hesitate to get married because I haven’t achieved my dreams,” said Keyra with an uncomfortable look because she didn’t want to make her lover disappointed but she also couldn’t take it for granted.

“I understand, then I will wait until you are ready. But as long as you know, even though we are married, I will still give you freedom, to achieve your goals,” Aaron replied then kissed the back of Keyra’s hand gently with affection.

Keyra bit her lower lip then her hand touched Aaron’s smooth jaw. “Thank you for understanding me.”

“Because loving each other must also understand each other.” Aaron brought his face closer to Keyra’s face then immediately brought his lips together with his lover’s lips gently full of love.

Keyra’s eyes closed for a moment, returning Aaron’s kiss with a crush, letting her tongue fuse with her lover’s tongue while holding the nape of her neck. The kiss lasted for a few seconds and they ended because it was like running out of oxygen. Luckily no nurse or anyone else entered the room.

Keenan is in a VIP treatment room which is equipped with a fairly spacious nursing bed, a sofa complete with a table, a wardrobe, and a table close to the nursing bed. The room was on the top floor with white walls and a glass window that gave a view of the buildings and streets adjacent to the hospital.

Keenan looked sadly at Jasmine who was lying weakly on the bed with her head wrapped in bandages and hands with IV needles attached. He held her hand and then kissed the back of her hand.

“Honey,” called Keenan, but Jasmine didn’t respond.

“Sorry for being late so you get hurt like this. I am a useless husband, I can’t take care of you,” said Keenan cursing himself who felt guilty for not being able to come sooner to save Jasmine from falling down the stairs. The man’s eyes were red, tears welled up in his eyes. remembering the sad story of his wife who lived a life of misfortune until when she was married she still suffered, Keenan felt that he had not succeeded in changing the poor impression of Jasmine, he felt that he had not succeeded in making his wife fully comfortable and happy.

Keenan lowered his head to the bed beside Jasmine’s body while continuing to hold and kiss her hand. He was sobbing, afraid that his wife would not wake up again. The image of the moment before his wife was unconscious seemed to continue to haunt his mind.

Jasmine tried to open her heavy eyes, then her left hand moved to hold her head which felt very dizzy. She turned to glance at the clouds below where Keenan was still bowed while kissing her hand.

“Honey,” Jasmine whispered.

Keenan gasped and immediately reaffirmed his head. He looked at Jasmine who was now smiling so sweetly on his pale face and his eyes looked droopy, slowly closing them again.

“Honey, wake up,” Keenan cried in a panic because Jasmine had fallen back asleep.

“Honey, wake up, don’t leave me!”

Keenan lightly patted Jasmine’s cheek, looking at her worried face. But the anxiety slowly passed when his wife opened her eyes again. The man breathed a sigh of relief and kissed his wife’s forehead.

“I’m worried about you, I’m afraid to lose you.”

“I’m sleepy, my eyes feel sticky,” Jasmine whispered through sleepiness. Hmm, maybe it’s the effect of the drugs.

“Gosh, it turns out you’re just sleepy.” Keenan smiled looking amused at Jasmine. “Go to sleep, I’ll be waiting for you here.”

Jasmine nodded and closed her eyes again because she couldn’t bear to sleep and continued to sleep. Keenan was still waiting there with his hand never leaving her hand…
