n the midst of the cold silence of the night because at that time the rain was pouring down on the earth, making the atmosphere of the hospital right on the top floor where Ethan was treated felt cold. It seemed that Luna forgot to close the window, making her husband’s body, who was only shirtless, cold. but it only made the man realize and slowly opened his eyes.

Ethan glanced around, then glanced at Luna who was sleeping using the back of his right hand as a headrest. He smiled and raised his left hand, gently caressing his wife’s head.

“Finally, you sleep with me,” he whispered with a grateful smile. How come? Because previously Luna had always avoided him when their domestic relationship was broken.

Luna realized someone had touched her head, then she got up and looked up and straightened herself back in the chair. She looked at Ethan who still had his eyes closed.

“I thought you touched my head. Maybe I was just dreaming because I was expecting you to wake up when I woke up.” Luna took Ethan’s hand again, using it to rest her cheek. Slowly she cried.

“Why are you taking so long like this? Is this what it feels like to wait for me when I’m in a coma? I’m afraid you won’t wake up again. I’m so scared…” Luna was still sobbing while hugging and kissing Ethan’s hand, she looked down and closed her eyes.

“Honey… close the window, I’m cold,” Ethan whispered.

Luna fell silent for a moment and straightened her seat again, looking at Ethan who was now smiling at her. however, he was still asleep. Ah, the man was just pretending to be asleep apparently.

“Are you aware?” Luna immediately hugged Ethan impatiently.

“Uh… ouch.” Ethan winced in pain because Luna hugged him too tightly while his back and shoulders still hurt, almost his whole body was still sluggish.

“Sorry, I was too excited.” Luna immediately let go of her arms with a shy smile, then remembered that Ethan asked her to close the window. “Ah, yes. Sorry for forgetting to close the window, you must be cold.”

Ethan just nodded, then Luna immediately got up from the chair and walked to the window. after closing the window, Luna returned to Ethan who didn’t even look at her, making her blush.

“I miss you,” Ethan whispered as he reached out his hand to touch Luna’s smooth face.

“Me too.” Luna held Ethan’s hand that was on her cheek.

Ethan took a deep breath and then exhaled. He was silent for a moment remembering the events before he was completely unconscious.

“Honey, are you in pain? I’ll call the doctor.” Luna immediately got up from her seat and walked out of the room to call the doctor. Ethan wanted to prevent it but couldn’t because he was still very weak.

While waiting for Luna, Ethan thought about Edward. Ah yes, he didn’t know that his stepbrother had died last night.

Luna came into Ethan’s room with a male doctor who was not too dashing, wearing a white tuxedo typical of the medical world and wearing cylindrical glasses. They immediately approached Ethan who was still daydreaming.

“Do you still feel tight and dizzy?” asked the Doctor.

“This is a very rapid progress, you just need a complete rest to recover your body’s condition and so that the surgical wound does not reopen before it dries,” said the doctor with a relieved smile.

Ethan only responded with a nod. The doctor immediately said goodbye to him and Luna.

After the doctor came out, Luna approached Ethan with a cup of tea with a not-too-sweet taste and a spoon.

“Drink first, you must be thirsty,” said Luna while blowing the tea, then scooped it up and thrust it into Ethan’s mouth.

“Hot?” Luna confirmed.

Ethan just shook his head. Luna returned to feeding Ethan with the tea again, landing a few mouthfuls of Ethan asking to stop.

“How is Edward doing?” asked Ethan. “While I was conscious, I heard gunshots, but I felt like the bullet didn’t reach my body anymore. Was he shot?” he continued with great curiosity.

The happy smile at Luna because Ethan had come to his senses slowly faded when Edward’s name was mentioned.

“Honey, answer me,” Ethan whispered.

“Yes he was shot,” answered Luna finally.

Ethan felt uneasy then asked, “but he survived, right?”

Luna looked pityingly at Ethan, who loved Edward and didn’t want any hostility or bloodshed, but all of that couldn’t be avoided because Edward kept acting up.

“Honey, why are you silent? Answer me.” Ethan started to get restless, seeing Luna who was about to cry instead.

Luna grabbed Ethan’s hand. “He’s dead, honey. Doctors couldn’t save him,” she said sadly.
