UNDER THE MASK - EPISODE 33

Just like slow mo, everyone turned towards Damon who landed on his knees and started shaking immediately

Athena rushed to him and tried to hold him but Elaina stopped her

“There’s poison on his body, you can’t touch him” she said but Athena started struggling to break free from her grip

” I don’t care, he was poisoned because of me!” She screamed, crying already as Damon fell on the ground and continued shaking

In few minutes, his face is already pale

“Elaina I have to go” Kaitlyn said and leapt into the air, she spit blue flames into her palms and rubbed it on each other before blowing it on mazu who fell as a result of it

Asher combined powers with Lett and they attacked him at once, making his eyes become flamy

Moon attacked with her gun technique while Eden and Venus tried to attack too but mazu stood swiftly and attacked back by blowing fire on them

They both fell and crashed on one of the dinning tables, bleeding from the mouth

Elaina looked at Kaitlyn and they both leapt to the air again, Kaitlyn produced blue flames while Elaina produced yellow, both combined, they threw it at him with full force and it hit him hard, sending him crashing hard on the wall and he groaned loudly in pains, his poison cauldron fell and broke and immediately, he turned to sand and got blown away by the wind then Elaina landed back on the ground with Kaitlyn

Damon is slowly losing consciousness as the poison is slowly taking over him

“You can go closer to him now that the poison cauldron has been destroyed” Elaina said to Athena and they all rushed to him

“Please be ok Damon, Damon don’t lose consciousness” Athena pleaded, tilting up his shaking body

“I…. I… I’m… Feeling… Immeasurable…. Col…. Cold” Damon stuttered amidst clattering teeth

He’s shaking too much , scaring everyone

“He was poisoned by the poisoned water from the poison cauldron, the water is called Frosted poison and his whole body component will freeze up and then shatter like fallen ice after twenty four hours” Ursula finally talked

” What!, He’ll die? ” Moon said fearfully

” Take him to the treatment room first” Asher said and Damon was taken by Min and Eden while Moon and Athena followed

“I can heal him right?” Kaitlyn asked

“You can heal, but when it comes to this Frosted poison we’re talking about, no healer is capable of doing that, it has only one cure but it’s too dangerous” Ursula said
.
” Say it first, then we decide weather it’s dangerous or not” Asher replied

” Someone has to go to Frost forest in the ice world and get the blood of the only bird in the forest, the bird is called Fire bird, once the blood of fire bird is dropped on his forehead, he’ll get healed” Ursula said

” What!, I heard frost forest is an haunted forest and if you get wounded there, you’ll surely bleed till death even after coming out, is that true?” Venus asked

“Yes” Ursula replied

” What are we gonna do? ” Elaina asked

” Who’ll go to Frost forest?, If the fire bird blood is not available before twenty four hours, we’ll lose him” Ursula said

” No, we can’t lose Damon, we can’t” Kaitlyn said

Athena bent down at where she has been listening from and folded her fist tightly

“I don’t want him to die , he’s passing through all that because of me, he can’t die I love him so much, Damon can’t die” she said while crying silently

Moon stayed beside Damon together with Min and Eden in the healing room, Damon is already unconscious but even in his unconscious state, he’s shaking badly and his body is freezing, you might even catch a cold if you touch him cos his body is freezing cold and icy sweat is coming out of his body

“I don’t want him to die, I can’t lose him” Moon said

” Me too, Depp just died, losing him too will be the greatest loss I’ve ever encountered, I don’t want to lose him” Eden said slowly in his corner like a drenched hen, he’s silently sobbing

“He won’t die, just believe he won’t die ok?” Min said

Athena came in and sat beside him on the bed but she quickly stood when even the bed is freezing cold

“If the bed is cold like this, I wonder what he’ll be passing through right now, his intestines and lungs will freeze, ice would have covered his bones and belly” Athena cried

” Calm down Athena, nothing will happen to him, just be optimistic will you? ” Min said assuredly

” I want to be optimistic but seeing him like this breaks my heart, he’s the closest to me, he’s my best friend and I love him so much, I can’t continue watching him like this” she cried more

Moon continued looking at her, surprised at what she just said

” You… Love him? ” Min asked and Eden looked up

“What if I say yes?, I love him a lot, and that’s why I can’t stand loosing him, I’d rather die than lose him” she said tearfully

Moon looked away from her and Inhaled hard.

Elaina walked down the corridor that led to the girls chamber with loads of thoughts in her mind about what just happened.

“It happened just the way I saw it last night, and now I’m scared about the calamity that’ll follow, poor girl” she thought as she walked then she stopped when she came across Mika and Rainbow

They made to walk past her but she stopped and talked

“Tackling the sorceress with her weak point during that type of fight, is that really the best? ” She said

” So what?, It’s true that she threw away her child anyways” Rainbow said

” So throwing away her child pushed you to throw away your brain too” Elaina said and Mika gasped

” What! ” Rainbow said

” Yes, that’s exactly what happened, and that’s even if you have a brain to throw away cos you’ve been brainless from the start, conniving with the dark demons for powers is a decision you’ll forever regret I bet it with you” Elaina said

” Eh? ” Rainbow and Mika chorused, surprised that she knows.

” I just pity you girls for choosing cruel fates, your future is something sad and disheartening” Elaina said and walked away.

” What is she talking about?, She knows about us?” Mika said

” I’ll go meet the Dean first” Rainbow said and they continued the walk to the dean’s office, Mika stayed out while Rainbow entered since she’s the only one Asher requested to see

“I really thought you’ll be good for once in your life maybe grandmother samshin will have pity and change your fate but no, I see you’re in love with that sad fate” Asher said Immediately she entered

” Fate? ” Rainbow said confusedly

“Why did you tackle Ursula like that?” Asher asked

” Oh, I just said that when I felt the need to talk” she blurted

“Nonsense!, I’m not surprised cos running your mouth unnecessarily is what you’re good at, you succeeded in letting Damon get poisined” Asher said

” Damon got poisoned cos he tried to save that filthy maid and.. ”

” Enough!, Lett I hand her over” Asher said and stormed out

” Uncle!, Uncle! ” She called after him.

” Listen” Lett said simply

Rainbow faced Lett who’s not smiling at all

“You’ll be locked up in the heating punishment room for five hours” he said and Rainbow’s eyes widen

The heating room is not made by human, it’s the room the first supernatural on Earth used to sleep in so no one dares enter unless if he or she wants to get heated till death after twelve hours and no amount of power can make the heat die down

“That…. That nasty room for five hours?, I’ll die Please don’t do this, don’t do this” she started pleading but Lett controlled her with a finger and she found herself in the room

She looked around as the heat started eating her up

“Uncle I’m sorry!!!, Let me out I’m gonna die?!! ” She kept screaming.

” Sorry about the other time” Asher said on getting to Ursula’s room

” Oh, your bad-mouthed cousin?, It’s ok” she replied and wanted to turn away from him but he held her back

” Why did you make Maureen your weak point?, Rainbow won’t stop, she’ll keep teasing you” he said

” I just can’t help it, now I realize how much I love my daughter, I want to see her so badly and I just… ” Ursula stopped and looked at him

” I want to make it up to you” she said

Asher is about to talk when someone knocked

Ursula went to check and it turned out to be Athena

“I’ll go to Frost forest” she said

“What! ‘ Ursula said

Athena went on her knees immediately

“Please sorceress, it’s my wish please grant it, I can’t watch him die, if he dies, I’ll die too, please just let me go” she pleaded”

Ursula looked back at Asher who has an uncertain expression.

An hour later**

Athena is wearing trousers and a big hoodie then rain boots and her hair is rolled up into a bun

She has a backpack strapped to her bag and a bold expression on her face

She’s obviously ready for the journey to Frost forest

She’s standing beside the divine golden water with Ursula and the two masters and Kaitlyn with Min

“Remember you’re going there to get the blood of the fire bird, the bird is rare and hard to find in the haunted forest so you have to be fast cos if by tomorrow you don’t find it and bring it back,. Damon will die and you won’t be able to come back if you spend more than the scheduled time” Ursula said

” I understand” she replied

” And you must not talk to anyone, talking to the spirits in the frost forest arouses their hunger so they might eat you up if you talk” Ursula added

” Yes sorceress” Athena nodded

” And the most important, you must not get wounded cos if you do, even after coming back, it won’t heal even if healers like Kaitlyn or yourself try, it’ll rot till…. Till you’ll die so make sure you don’t get hurt” Ursula said

Athena swallowed hard before nodding

” I get that” she said

“I wish you the safest journey” Asher smiled

“Me too, come back safely” Lett replied

“Thanks masters” she bowed

Kaitlyn came closer and gave her a fan. “It’ll help you wave away spirits and it’ll make you see the hidden ones, just make sure you follow the sorceress rules” Kaitlyn said, hugging her

” Yes I will” Athena smiled

” Good luck Athena” Min waved and she waved back

” Please take care of my Damon till I’ll be back” she said and Min nodded

She faced the sorceress and the masters

“I’m ready” she said

Ursula made some incantations and flamy green surrounded the golden water

“It’ll remain flamy green till the scheduled twenty four hours, you have to return before then” Ursula said and Athena nodded before jumping into the water that’ll be the route to the frost forest….
