When Yvette arrived at the venue below, she immediately noticed the grandest private room on the upper floor that offered the best view of the auction.

The room was fitted with a one-way mirror; the people outside couldn’t look in, but the people inside could look out.

She intentionally selected a seat that could be seen clearly from the private room. Then, she looked up at the private room, making the action seem unintentional.

In the private room, Mark gaped in shock. “That’s Ms. Snyder!” Xavier resisted the urge to run downstairs. “Abandon the auction,” he ordered Mark.

“Yes.” The secretary downstairs received the instruction and gave up on the auction.

The audience had thought that they would get to see a money -throwing competition, but to their surprise, Xavier had given up. They were all astounded.

“Yvette!” he said quietly, staring at her deeply.
