check to Wayne soon afterward.

Wayne never expected to acquire a million dollars so effortlessly. He erased the voice clip while

Grayson watched and gave him the USB drive. He then left with the check in excitement.

Grayson’s expression turned sinister as soon as Wayne left.

How dare a measly nobody try to take one million dollars from me? Dream on!” he thought

Grayson looked toward the bodyguard standing by the side and ordered, “Go deal with him and

make it clean!”

The bodyguard nodded. “Yes, sir!”

Kindergarten was ending, and Caroline was waiting by the door to pick up her children.

Suddenly, the screech of brakes caught her attention. She turned and saw a Maybach pull up

behind her.

Reuben quickly emerged from the driver’s seat and respectfully opened the back door.

Evan stepped out of the car, dressed in a black suit, radiating confidence. His tired eyes showed

recent fatigue but couldn’t conceal his handsome face.

Caroline stood not far away from him, but he brushed past Caroline as if he were oblivious to her.

She looked at him in puzzlement. ‘Is he free enough to take care of his child now?‘

Caroline looked away and stood in the same spot to wait for her children.

Soon, the teacher led a group of children out of the school.

Axel immediately noticed Caroline. He was about to join her with Tyler and Liora when he spotted

Evan’s icy expression.

Stunned by his father’s presence, Axel wondered why Evan was standing apart from Caroline.

Feeling an ominous sense in his heart, Axel was caught in a dilemma, unsure of whom to approach.

Liora called out, “Mommy is here!”

Tyler grabbed Axel’s arm and said, “Let’s go home, Axel.”

Axel pursed his lips, and his gaze dimmed. “Can I go back to Bayview Villa with them?”

Reuben glanced at Tyler and Liora standing by Axel’s side in confusion.

‘Mr. Jordan would definitely agree to Mr. Jordan Jr.’s request if Tyler and Liora were his children. It’s a

shame they are not, Reuben thought

“Mr. Jordan Jr., your father is here to pick you up. You can’t go with them for sure, Reuben said

“Why not? He did yesterday and the day before!” Liora pouted in displeasure.

“You have no concern for Axel’s feelings,” Tyler mocked.

Reuben was vexed because he was following Evan’s order, yet he was regarded as the villain.

Reuben felt troubled about how to explain to the children. Then, Caroline said, “Let’s go home, my

precious,”

Axel looked up at Caroline in anticipation.

Caroline didn’t know Evan’s intentions, but she couldn’t ignore her son’s pleading gaze Shel reached

Liora said, “Mommy, they won’t let Axel come with us!”

Caroline considered her remarkable children, who occasionally enjoyed revealing delicate information.

Tyler said, “Mommy. Axel loves your risotto. Shall we have that tonight?”

“Axel Jordan‘” They heard Evan’s icy voice and saw him standing nearby.

Evan stared at Axel and commanded, ‘Come here
