for the rest of my life if Ty is gone! It was you who did nothing! You were merciless and refused to help!”

Caroline shouted.

Paige stepped forward to explain after noticing Evan’s displeased expression. ‘Calm down, Carline. I’ll

show you Ty, okay?”

She pulled out her phone and made a video call to Alex swiftly.

It did not take long before Alex picked up the call, and his face appeared on the screen

“What is it?” Alex’s voice echoed.

Paige said, “Turn the camera to Ty and let Carol… Huh?”

Caroline grabbed the phone before Paige could complete her sentence. She stared at the screen

closely. Tears welled up in her eyes as she saw Alex’s camera focused on Tyler, lying quietly on the bed.

Ty is still alive… she thought.

He had no bandage or catheter; only an IV was on the back of his hand.

She cried, asking, “What’s wrong with him?”

“He received a strong dose of anesthesia, so he’s still unconscious,” Paige explained with a sigh.

Caroline felt calmer. She slowly lowered the phone and inquired, “Who fell then?”

“It was a doll filled with sand, dressed like Ty, and the liquid was just chicken blood,” Paige

clarified.

She had been terrified at that moment, too. The truth hit her when she reached the scene and

found the doll.

She had to admit that Evan was sharp for realizing Tyler wasn’t really tied up there.

Thus, he had prevented Caroline from falling into the trap. He had also arranged for the police to.

Evan nodded while Paige left after bidding farewell to Caroline
