As they sat down, the sound of a car engine reached them from the door.

Soon, a knock came at the door.

“Mommy, let me get it,” Tyler said as he was closest to the door. Holding a glass of water, he

walked over to open it.

Upon opening the door, he found an energetic old man with white hair standing there.

Tyler smiled and inquired, “May I know who you’re looking for?”

Draco glanced down at Tyler and was momentarily stunned. Then he agitatedly asked, “Young

man, who are you?”

Tyler smiled and replied, “Sir, isn’t it impolite to ask for the host’s name the moment you arrive?”

“Yes!” Draco’s face lit up. “You sound just like Evan!”

Upon hearing that, Tyler became cautious. He was about to respond when Caroline called out to

him, “Ty, who is it?”

Tyler shifted his gaze toward Caroline. It’s an old man who’s saying strange things.”

Caroline grew concerned and swiftly walked over to the entrance.

When she saw Draco, her heart raced. She already had to be wary of Evan, and now Draco had shown

up. She could lose Tyler if they realized that he was connected to the Jordan family.

Suppressing her anxiety, she approached with determination. “Mr. Jordan

Draco’s expression turned cold the moment he saw Caroline. He pointed at Tyler. “Is this Evan’s

– child?”

Caroline didn’t reply but instead approached Tyler and gently patted his back. “Ty, you guys go upstairs

and play. I need to have a conversation with this gentleman.”

Tyler nodded, then turned and headed back to the living room. He led Axel and Liora upstairs.

At a corner, Tyler grabbed their hands and squatted down.

Liora was thrilled. “Ty, do you want to listen in? I find it exciting.”

Tyler hushed her, prompting her to immediately fall silent.

Axel’s eyes turned dull when Caroline led Draco to the living room. He whispered, “It’s Grandpa.”

Liora was bewildered. “Your Grandpa? Is he here to bully Mommy?”

Tyler thought fast before he extended his hand toward Axel. “Give me the phone.”

Axel took his phone out and handed it to Tyler.

Tyler made a call, and soon, the other party picked it up.

*SOS! Mommy needs help at home!”

After that, he hung up.

Draco sat on the sofa in the living room. Caroline then handed a glass of water to him.

He sized her up. ‘Why did you come back since you faked your death?”

Caroline answered lightly, “I naturally have a reason for doing so.

“Spill it What does it take for you to leave Evan?” Draco asked directly.

His question amused Caroline. “Why do you think I’m the one pestering him instead of the other

way around?”

Draco snorted “Did you know he ignored a one–billion–dollar contract because of you?”

Caroline was stunned. Did he give up a contract because of her?

It was a piece of cake for Evan to earn a billion dollars unless the important thing about this

project was not money.

Caroline said, “You look down on Evan, don’t you? His insight is more than a billion dollars.”

“What do you know?” Draco’s face turned gloomy. “Not everyone can cooperate with Gale from

Flortine.”

Caroline was aware of Gale. He owned a lot of mining businesses that people were jealous of. His

connections were all over the world.

It was indeed a pity for Evan to lose that contract for nothing.

Caroline sneered. “Mr. Jordan, you’re making it seem as if I pushed him to give up that contract.”
