Caroline held a meeting with the production team in the afternoon. They estimated they could finish the

first batch of clothes after ten days.

This duration had exceeded Caroline’s expectations

She reminded the head of the production team, “The production speed is important, but there aren’t

many workers in the factory now. Please, don’t make them work overtime.”

When she stepped out of the company, a black elongated Maybach suddenly stopped before her.

Reuben got out of the driver’s seat and went to Caroline to open the door for her. “Ms. Shenton, Mr.

Jordan would like to invite you to go to a place with him.”

Caroline looked at the handsome but aloof man in the back seat before she refused.

“No, the kids will be out of the kindergarten soon. I need to pick them up.”

Evan looked up. “I asked someone else to do that. Just get into the car and go with me.”

Caroline frowned and asked, “Where are you taking me to?”

“I’m taking you to see Lily,” Evan answered directly.

Caroline laughed. “Lily’s in Angelbay Hospital. I can see her anytime I want. I don’t have to go with

you.

Evan said, “Go on if you think you can still see Lily at Angelbay Hospital.”

Caroline’s smile stiffened. “What do you mean?”

Evan replied slowly, “Just the literal meaning. Of course, you can turn me down.”

“Did you transfer her to another hospital without my permission? Caroline hurriedly asked.

“Lily isn’t out of danger for such a long time. Why did you do that? If anything happens to Lily.

Twenty minutes later, the car stopped at Grand East Hospital’s entrance.

Caroline stepped out of the car and observed the vast hospital building. She couldn’t remember

seeing a hospital like this in Angelbay.

Turning her attention to Evan, she asked with concern, “When was this hospital constructed? Can

you tell me about the doctors working here?”

Evan gave her a quick glance but didn’t explain. He simply headed toward the hospital entrance.

Reuben offered an explanation, “Ms. Shenton, Mr. Jordan established this hospital, but he didn’t

make it public.

“He carefully selected all the doctors, recruiting the best ones from around the world. You can

trust their medical expertise.”

Caroline was taken aback. “He wasn’t involved in this industry before, right?”

Reuben replied gloomily, “After hearing about your passing, he decided to build a hospital

because he felt that all doctors in Angelbay City were useless.”
