Scott and Caroline visited Lily at the hospital after dinner, just before she returned to Bayview

Caroline put the call on speaker and moved the phone a little farther. “Lower your voice a bit.”

“I got it, I got it! Scott is finally getting a chance!” Paige’s excitement couldn’t be contained.

Caroline felt a touch of sadness. “Maybe I should have made this decision sooner, right?”

“No! Remember, you’ve been through a tough relationship. It’s totally okay to be careful in this

one. A man who truly loves you will understand waiting!”

Caroline chuckled. “You seem happier than I am, huh?”

The next day, Caroline visited the three children before school started

She did not wish to let her children know about the negative side, so she explained it that way.

Liora shed tears. She was at a loss for words.
