After conversing with her children, Caroline ended the call and resumed her focus on work.

In the building across, Alex sat in Evan’s office, sipping coffee, and observed Evan with a smile.

“Hey, how did you end up getting cheated on?” Alex inquired, his tone teasing.

Evan shot him a sharp look. “Speak properly or leave.”

At 7:00 pm, after work, Caroline went to Bayview Villa to get some clothes for a change before her

hospital caregiving duty.

As Caroline parked her car, she noticed the yard filled with red roses. This sight immediately

made her think of Evan, and her eyes twitched.
