Caroline headed to the alfresco restaurant at night for the appointment and found Kenny already

waiting at the table.

He pulled the chair chivalrously for her and said, “My dear G, please take a seat.”

Caroline took a glance at him in frustration. “Kenny, stop messing with me.”

Kenny sniggered “How is my performance?”

Caroline looked at him, confused “What performance?”

Kenny pouted his lips in a direction. “There, isn’t that the man you love and hate?”

Caroline was stunned and looked in the direction where Kenny was pointing. She saw Evan sitting at a

nearby table with Alex, staring at her coldly

Caroline’s lips twitched. She did not notice Evan when she entered earlier, or she would not have entered:

Caroline braced herself to look away from them.

“How do you know I love and hate him?” she asked.

Kenny sat down, shrugged, and said, “You told it to me when you were drunk and made me look at

his photos. It’s not my fault ”

Caroline was rendered speechless. Her drunken self put her in trouble.

Kenny suddenly leaned close to Caroline. “Would you like me to put on an act with you, my dear?

My impeccable acting skills will make him believe we are the perfect couple! I will make sure

that he doesn’t.. Uh”

He stopped talking, but Caroline didn’t realize. “Never mind. He won’t believe it because he’s very

paranoid. Let’s not create problems,” she said.

“Heh! Why am I unaware that I have paranoia?”

Evan’s cold voice from behind startled Caroline. She turned and glared at him once her surprise faded.

“Eavesdropping isn’t good, Evan”

“Well, I’m capable of hiding them, at least! How is it any of your business?

“Carolinel” Evan was furious. “Will you die without a man?”

“Yes, I will! I’m delighted to be seeking pleasure with handsome men!” she retorted.

Alex and Kenny were at a loss for words, thinking. Why are they quarreling?

Evan finished his drink in anger while Caroline downed her drink in unison.

Alex and Kenny were dumbfounded once again. They really are a good pair.‘

Both of them were acting out of spite and made Kenny and Alex finish three bottles of red wine
