Axel fell silent and averted his gaze.

Evan found the atmosphere in the car oddly oppressive and quiet. Although he didn’t spend much time

with Axel due to his busy schedule, he could sense that something was off after Axel met the two

children yesterday.

Axel appeared distant, speaking and smiling sparingly, and even his voice sounded deep and

dreary.

on WhatsApp.”

A photo arrived on Evan’s phone. His expression turned grave as he saw the message displayed on

hundreds of office computers.
