Reny and Oliver had to go to the relevant department, and Xander was going to get the materials. Only

Melanie was left, and she had to go to LeapCo.

Before leaving, Xander frowned and said, “Take Reny with you.”

Melanie said calmly, “It’s okay. Since an agreement has been made with LeapCo, I have to get the

document signed.”

Xander’s brows were still knitted together. Melanie sighed. “Don’t worry, I’m fine now.‘

Since Melanie had said so, Xander could only let her be.

Before Melanie arrived at LeapCo, she contacted Lee.

Lee told her to wait for him in the small meeting room.

Melanie was familiar with LeapCo’s office building and knew the meeting room was just right beside the

president’s office.

However, she did not expect to bump into Evelyn as soon as she walked out of the elevator.

Evelyn was wearing almost the same type of suit as when she was in Prime City. Her chin was slightly

lifted when she walked.

Melanie stood aside. Evelyn and her were unfamiliar, and Melanie felt it was unnecessary for her to

greet Evelyn.

However, Evelyn still bumped into Melanie’s shoulder on purpose when she walked past her.

Evelyn’s hostility was obvious. Melanie stopped, and Evelyn stared at her as she asked indifferently,

“Are you here to look for Eugene?”

Her words sounded a little disdainful. Melanie was sensitive and knew Evelyn had always disliked her

since the day they met.

She seemed more hostile toward her than Viola.

That was something Melanie had not figured out yet. After all, Viola and Eugene seemed more intimate

than she and Eugene.

However, that thought merely flashed across her mind. Melanie looked at Evelyn and answered, “I’m

here to get a contract signed.”

Evelyn’s brows were furrowed. She was still as elegant as ever as she sneered. “I don’t care why

you’re here, but I think as an employee who was fired by the company, you should come here less.

Don’t you think so?”

She brushed her hand through her hair and continued, “To be honest, it isn’t appropriate for someone

like you to be here!”

Melanie naturally understood what she meant.

However, she said, “Miss Shue, you don’t have to tell me this. I have nothing to do with Mr. Scott. If you

want to warn anyone, I think you should look for Viola.

“After all, she’s known as Mr. Scott’s girlfriend.” Melanie paused for a while before adding

calmly, “At least I haven’t heard news of them breaking up yet.”

A cheeky glimpse flashed across Evelyn’s eyes. “You have nothing to do with Eugene?”

Melanie was frank. “If there’s any association between us, at most, he’s just my former boss. I’m not

working here anymore, after all.”

A malicious smile appeared on Evelyn’s face as she looked at Melanie. Then, she looked behind

Melanie with a laugh. “Did you hear that? She said you’re just her former boss.”

Melanie was taken aback and turned around, only to see Eugene standing a few steps away.

He happened to be at a turn, and the tall flower pot blocked him. Melanie had no idea how much he

heard.

Evelyn lifted her chin. “Hey, former boss, you came too early. I just wanted to ask her about what she

thought of you.”

Eugene drooped his eyelashes as he said in his deep voice, “Didn’t I ask you to wait for me in my

office?”

He was asking Evelyn. Melanie, beside her, pursed her lips and looked away.

Evelyn smiled and said, “It’s boring waiting in the office, so I walked around the office. My mom has

always said you’re good at managing your company and told me to learn from you.”

if Eugene nodded and said, “Alright. Get Julie to help you you need anything.”
