When Cecilia came out of the ward, she was relieved to see that the bodyguards were not worried at

all.

When she took the elevator downstairs, she ran into Yvette who was delivering lunch to Fiona.

“Yvie, your sister is chatting with her friend. Why don’t you go up late? Let’s go down and have a seat

instead.”

Yvette’s round face was full of curiosity. “My sister’s friend? Who is it?” “From Cecilia’s tone, it definitely

isn’t an ordinary friend.”

“It’s a man whom I’ve never seen before.”

Yvette suddenly nodded and knew who it was.

“It’s Marcus. He has always had a crush on my sister. Unfortunately, she doesn’t like him.”

Marcus was also a friend of Christopher. He had been studying making desserts abroad and had

rushed back immediately after learning that Fiona was in trouble.

As soon as he got off the plane, he saw the video of Fiona exposing her

secret.

After saying that, Yvette started to gossip about the Yancey family.

“Ceci. Juliana is truly an ingrate. The Yancey family loved her so much. and even committed crimes for

selection. I’ll go see you and have dinner with you tonight. I’ve something to discuss.”

Cecilia figured that Evan wanted to tell her about the arrangement at Acocester.

She replied, “Okay. Are we going to Emerald Mansion for dinner tonight or outside?”

Evan hadn’t spent time alone with Cecilia since he returned home, so he took this opportunity to have a

chat with her.

She was about to say goodbye to Yvette when she heard the latter’s belly growl.

“Yvie, haven’t you had lunch yet?”

“Not yet. Usually, my sister and I would eat together. Since she’s with Marcus now, it’s inconvenient for

Cecilia invited, “I haven’t eaten too. Let’s go together.”

“Okay, I know a place that does home–cooked food nearby. Shall we go there?”

“Okay.”

They subsequently walked to the restaurant. While waiting for food, Yvette received a message from

Marcus.

[You don’t have to come this afternoon. I will take good care of your sister.]

Yvette replied, [Don’t bully my sister!]

After sending the message, Yvette couldn’t hide her smile.

She shared her thoughts with Cecilia happily, “Ceci, I think Marcus and my sister have a chance!”

After Fiona knew that Marcus liked her, she kept a distance on purpose. However, the former didn’t ask

him to leave that day.

His neat hair, chiseled features, and strong arms made him look like the epitome of a dashing young
