Jayden went out in a hurry, and he forgot that he was only wrapped in a bath towel.

Sophia happened to be out drinking water and almost got hit by him.

“Jayden, why are you in a hurry at this time of the night?”

“Mom, you’ve really given birth to a good daughter. We all have to fall into her hands.”

After saying that angrily, Jayden rushed downstairs and left.

Seeing that it was because of Cecilia again, Sophia’s temples began to throb.

“This jinx isn’t done yet, is she? I don’t know what she has done to make Jay so angry.”

Two out of her four sons had been destroyed by Cecilia. The thought of it made Sophia wish that she

could go back to twenty–two years ago and have birth control then!

That way, the brat would not have been born.

Unfortunately, it was too late for regrets now.

Sophia hurried back to her bedroom and was about to find out what had happened when she received

a call from Jonathan.

He had just come back from Yancey Corporation. His back was aching after having washed the toilet

all day.

As soon as he arrived at the gate of the Yancey residence, he found that it was crowded with

journalists.

He quickly turned around and left before the journalists gathered around him.

After making sure that no journalist was chasing him, he immediately called Sophia to ask what was

going on.

“Mom, there are many journalists squatting at our door. Is something wrong?”

“Everything is fine at home. Why would there be journalists?”

As soon as Sophia finished speaking, she realized that the journalists were there to wait for Jayden.

Thinking of her son who left in a hurry, she said anxiously, “Jonathan,

those journalists are here for Jayden. He went out in a rage just now. Go and deal with them.”

Jonathan turned around again and went back to the Yancey residence.

“Mom, what happened to Jayden?”

They had to conserve their energy for tonight and wait for Cecilia’s news the next day!

After leaving, Jayden sped down the road toward Emerald Mansion.

But when he arrived at Emerald Mansion, he could not even get in.

He was shouting at the door like a madman and wanted to see Cecilia. Cecilia said to the butler, “Tell

him that if he doesn’t get out of here, my bodyguards will strip him naked and dump him at the TV

station.”

“Yes, Ms. Yancey. I’ll pass it on right away.”

After the butler left, Cecilia looked at the time and saw it was already eleven o’clock.

She looked at Christopher, who was still staring at the computer screen, walked behind him, and

covered his eyes with her hands.

“You’ve been at it for a long time. Have a rest.”

Christopher took Cecilia’s hand and kissed the back of her hand.

“I’ve received a lot of information today and want to look through it. If you are sleepy, go rest first.”

Cecilia gently poked Christopher’s injured arm with her finger and said, “You also need to rest.”

Christopher felt a slight tingling in his arm and shut the computer.

“Let’s go and have a rest.”

They took a shower separately and lay in the same bed.

Cecilia took the initiative to nest in Christopher’s arms and asked, “What have you found?”

She knew he could not find anything in such a short time, but she just wanted to ask in case there

might be a surprise.

population, it would have at least half a year to investigate..

Seeing that there was no surprise, Cecilia closed her eyes sleepily.

When she woke up, it was already dawn, and the space beside her was empty, but there was still a

trace of warmth.

Christopher apparently had not been gone long.

Cecilia sat up and rubbed her temples.

Her vigilance had decreased recently, and she did not even feel it when Christopher got up.

After washing up, she went downstairs.

The butler was setting breakfast on the table, but there was no sign of Christopher.

Cecilia asked, “Where is Chris?”

“Ms. Yancey, Mr. Christopher Forte has gone to deal with Mr. Yancey’s

matter.”

“Jayden is here again?”

“Yes, he came here just after dawn. He said that if you dare to expose his secret, he will expose the

scandal of Ms. Yates.”

Hearing this, Cecilia’s face immediately turned gloomy.

“How long has Christopher been gone?”

“Mr. Christopher Forte was gone for almost ten minutes.”

Cecilia immediately walked out. As soon as she reached the door, she saw Christopher coming back.

She asked, “Done?”

“Well, let’s eat first. We can talk about it while we eat.”

They sat at the dining table, where they had a sumptuous breakfast. Christopher picked up a bun for

Cecilia and said, “This tastes good. Try it. Be careful. It’s hot.”

Cecilia took a bite of the bun, and the aroma bloomed in her taste buds. She nodded and said, “It’s

really good.”

Christopher did not talk about Jayden until she had eaten two buns.

“Ceci, don’t worry. Jayden won’t threaten Fiona or do anything to her again.”

Cecilia took a sip of the oatmeal and asked curiously, “How did you manage to threaten him?”

“It’s very simple. He is afraid of dying.”

Christopher’s cruelty was well known.

Cecilia had to admit that though the threat was simple and brutal, it was most effective.

“Then shall I expose Jayden’s secret later?”

“Sure, do what you want. I will help you clear the obstacles and solve all future problems.”
