The burly man looked at the dripping of sulfuric acid and was about to have a ment*l breakdown.

He was in pain, but he could not die.

“I–I’ll talk.”

His compromise was sandwiched between screams, which could not be heard clearly.

The three people present received special training and were considered among the best. Of course,

they could hear it.

However, they chose to be deaf and ignored it.

Soon, the transparent sulfuric acid dripped on the man’s wet face.

His scream became increasingly spine–chilling, the horror in his eyes. threatening to spill.

He could not imagine the scene of his face being burnt through, his gums melting, and his teeth falling

out.

It was even more terrifying than crawling out of a pile of bodies after a battle to the death.

He could not be bothered by the pain and yelled, “I’ll say! I’ll tell everything!”

Evan held the bottle of sulfuric acid straight and poured a bottle of water onto the man’s burnt face.

Fortunately, there was only one drop. It did not hurt much, or the man. would not be able to speak.

Evan squatted down and smiled mockingly. “My patience has its limit. If you dare say a word of

nonsense or untruth, I’ll feed this bottle of sulfuric acid to you.”

Hearing this, the man trembled with fear.

He wanted to plead to die, but Evan would definitely think this was nonsense, so the man kept to

himself.

After thinking for a few seconds, he told Evan everything he knew.

Yet, there was no valuable information.

Cecilia and Christopher had previously interrogated and killed the two men, but they got similar

information.

The only difference was that the man before them had just received a message telling him to retreat

Evan asked, “From your knowledge, how many do you know came to Quilton? How do you contact the

organization if there is a

communication problem?”

The man could say so much just now because he held his breath.

He did not hear a word Evan said.

Cecilia knew the man could not speak anymore and asked, “Will you kill or spare him, Evan?”

If they killed the man, they were telling the others that speaking the truth. could reward them with a

swift death.

If they spared the man, they could make a more merciless example to threaten the others.

The two choices would result in the same. They would make the remaining four confess the truth

quicker.

Evan held a deep–rooted hatred toward the mastermind’s organization. Naturally, he would not let

these people die so easily.

“Let’s keep him for now. He won’t live long anyway.”

With that, he pulled a tall, thin man out of another room.

He kicked the half–dead robust man and said to the thin man, “Don’t repeat what he told me and

answer my earlier questions. If you don’t know, you’ll experience the torture he did.”

The thin man trembled with fear.

He hurriedly said, “As far as I know, there are five people, including myself. Two died, two were

arrested, and one is missing.”

After they were sent to Quilton, they would not contact each other when they were not assigned a

mission.

He learned his subordinates were dead through the news.

He also knew one was captured because he witnessed it with his own

eyes.

The thin man did not immediately identify those people. Instead, he answered Evan’s second question.

“When communication isn’t suitable, the organization will cause a news and assign us tasks from

there.”

Evan put down the sulfuric acid bottle the thin man was staring intently at and asked, “Give me an

example.”

“For example, killing a person at the pasta restaurant at Yarwood Street. From there, we can find out

the location of the incident and other clues about the victim’s identity. Then, we can piece together the

information the organization wants to convey.”

Cecilia said confidently, “You must have an internal code, right?”

Everyone had their focus points. If they only relied on the clues and extrapolated information, all of

them might have different conclusions.

He nodded and shook his head again.

“We do have internal codes, but not everyone uses the same code. The people sent to Quilton share a

common code, but the code will be discarded if something happens to one person.”

In other words, the current code was abandoned. Even if he told them, it would be useless.

Cecilia would not refuse to learn the password even if it was discarded.

“What if we need to use it later?” she thought.

“Go ahead. We’re listening,” she said.

The thin man did not dare to disobey and immediately told them the simple code.

Cecilia listened to the shoddy code and knew that these people sent to Quilton by the mastermind were

the cannon fodder. They could be thrown away at any time.

“What else do you know? If the information is useful, I can release you.”

These words were a glimmer of hope, dispelling the gloom that filled the thin man’s heart.

His eyes glanced over his dying companion and fell on one of the rooms.

In fact, that thin man was a marginal figure in the organization, and he did not know a lot.

However, he knew someone who held a lot more information.

The thin man pointed to a room and said, “He knows a core member of

the organization. I heard him making a call.”

They were unfamiliar with each other before this but were sent to

Quilton together. They never talked at all.

While he went out to do some investigation the day before yesterday, he coincidentally saw the man in

the middle of the call and paid attention to

him.

The thin man then discovered he was related to one of the high–ranking members and was assigned to

Quilton to “gain fame.”

Instead of fame, he got caught.

The man who was pointed at became enraged. “Don’t talk nonsense! I don’t know anyone!”

Evan dragged him out. “It seems like you’ll only speak the truth after a thorough torture.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Evan poured water on the man’s face and picked up the sulfuric acid

bottle on the table.

“This time, I’ll start with your eyes.”

His words almost caused the man to wet his pants, and the latter hurriedly pleaded for mercy. “No,

don’t! I’ll talk. I used to save 5237’s life by accident.”

In the organization, only those with status and authority were eligible to have a serial number.

The man revealed the time and location where he saved the person, including the process and the

results.

“I don’t really know him very well, and he doesn’t have a high status in the organization. Otherwise, I

wouldn’t have been sent to Quilton to die.” Even so, Evan knew clearly that these people came to

Quilton to target Cecilia and his future.

Cecilia was the favorite of their family. Capturing her was like grabbing the Shaw family by their neck.

Even if they would not betray their country to compromise for Cecilia, they would be living with guilt for

the rest of their lives.

Thinking of this, Evan stepped on the back of the man’s hand and viciously crushed it.
