The hand on his shoulder made the killer’s face change slightly. He immediately aimed the gun behind him and pulled the trigger.
Although Cecilia had prepared herself to grab the gun, the other person’s movements were too fast.
She only had time to grasp the gun barrel and quickly push it down.
The bullet struck the bluestone, causing a ricochet and injuring a woman’s leg.
The gun barrel became hot from the gunfire, but the
temperature wasn’t too high.
Cecilia didn’t give the killer a second chance. In the next moment, she snatched the gun away.
Simultaneously, her other hand, resting on the killer’s shoulder, squeezed hard using her five fingers.
The killer’s bones were crushed instantly.
He groaned and drew a knife from his waist to strike back.
Cecilia sneered and said, “You’re not qualified to hurt me yet!”
As she spoke, she released her grip on the killer’s shoulder and held his left hand that was holding the knife, thrusting it into his chest.
She made a precise strike, and the knife stabbed directly into his heart.
It looked like a deadly move, but in truth, as long as he remained still, he could stay alive.
The killer looked at the knife handle in his chest with terror and spat out a mouthful of blood.

He struggled to utter the two words, and his face turned pale with a hint of despair.

The scene terrified the onlookers around.
They avoided Cecilia amidst the piercing screams and fled everywhere.
The space around Cecilia got wider and wider.
She laid the killer on the ground. Her eyes were icy and stern.
“Don’t talk or move, or you will die.”
Everyone was afraid of death. Especially when faced with imminent death, their will to live will be exceptionally strong.
The killer knew Cecilia was telling the truth and looked at her pleadingly.
If he had known Cecilia was so skilled, he would never have taken the job.
Unfortunately, there were no “ifs.”
When the killer felt his body grow ice–cold and thought he was about to die, Cecilia crouched down and put her hand on the ́ knife handle.
“Do you want to die?” she asked.
The killer could only move his eyes from side to side,
indicating he didn’t want to die.

“If you want to live, you better tell the truth. Who sent you to kill me?”
As she spoke, Cecilia’s index finger on her other hand was positioned on the trigger, rotating the gun.
Such a type of weapon was strictly controlled in the country and was not easy to obtain.
The killer did not want to die, but he also did not dare to speak. His forehead was covered in beads of cold sweat.
When Cecilia heard the police sirens approaching, she drew the knife gently.
“You can speak now, but if you don’t stop the bleeding, you only have five minutes to live.”
In other words, the killer had five minutes to consider whether to trade the truth for a chance to live.
In reality, there was no need to think. If he had the choice to live, very few would choose to die.
He pressed his hand to his chest and said, “My employer is Felix.”
When she heard that, Cecilia knew that the killer was no ordinary assassin.
Most assassins will accept jobs based on difficulty and pay, but they will not question the identity of their employer.
She pointed the bloody knife at the killer’s heart and said affirmatively, “You went to Felix, not the other way around. There is another person behind your employer, am I right?”
Her question stirred a storm of emotions in the killer’s heart.
He tried to hide his emotions, but Cecilia still saw through him.
He thought the young lady in front of her was terrifying, and he began to wonder what kind of person she had provoked. “Yes, but I don’t know who that person is.”

The killer passed out.
She did not know whether it was due to excessive blood loss or sheer shock.
Cecilia ignored him and used her phone to investigate the employer behind the deal with the assassin.
Christopher’s bodyguard finally arrived.
When they saw that Cecilia was unharmed, they sighed in relief. Then they kneeled before her.
“Ms. Yancey, please punish us for failing to protect you.”
Cecilia looked at the remorseful bodyguards and replied, “You have done a good job. Get up.”
“Thank you, Ms. Yancey. We will ask for Mr. Christopher Forte’s reprimand later.”
Cecilia did not respond.
Christopher has his own principles, and she wouldn’t interfere.
She continued to check the phone and asked, “Who sealed the antique market?”
“It was Mr. Christopher Forte and Mr. Quinn’s people. It was mostly Mr. Quinn’s.”
Cecilia nodded. “Call Chris and tell him that it can be unsealed
now.”

The bodyguard took her words as an order.
“Yes, Ms. Yancey.”
When Christopher got the call, he had just left Emerald Mansion.
When he learned that Cecilia was unharmed and that the killer had been caught, his heart finally calmed.
“Follow Ceci’s order, unseal the market, and tell her to wait for me. I’ll be there soon.”
“Yes, Mr. Christopher Forte.”
The antique market was quickly unsealed. Christopher and Matthias‘ men quickly evacuated the area.
The terrified crowd rushed out in a frenzy.

By the time the police arrived, the scene was particularly chaotic. It was on the verge of becoming a stampede.
Some police worked to maintain order, while others went inside the plaza.
The police saw the killer with a knife stabbed in his chest, his body covered in blood, and his eyes closed. They assumed he was dead.
Meanwhile, Cecilia was calmly playing with her phone, and there was a gun at her feet.
The police immediately pointed their guns at Cecilia, looking very alert.
“Put the phone down and kick the gun over!”

The police took the phone and said, “Ms. Yancey, please come to the police station for a statement.
“I have to wait for someone. Let’s do it here.”
Then she recounted the incident to the police.
“There were many eyewitnesses. If you check, you’ll verify the truth of what I said.”
As soon as she finished speaking, the police officer who had been sent to review the surveillance footage returned.
His report confirmed Cecilia’s statement.
The police immediately lowered their guard against Cecilia and said, “Ms. Yancey, we had to be cautious earlier. It’s our duty. I hope you can understand.”
“I understand. I’ve completed the statement. Can I go now?” Cecilia asked.
“Sure. We may need to gather more information from Ms. Yancey later. I hope you can cooperate until then.”
“No problem.”
After Cecilia said that, she left, surrounded by bodyguards.
Her car was parked on the side of the road.
