Fiona was out of town working on a news piece.

When Jayden called her, she was busy tracking down some sources and directly hung up on him.

In order not to be disturbed by his phone calls again, she even blocked his number.

“Sorry, the number you have dialed is currently not available.”

Jayden’s face darkened when he heard the mechanical voice coming through the phone.

He had thought Fiona would be disappointed in him, but he didn’t expect she would directly block his number.

“Jerry and I have a lot of assets. We were the ones who had caused this trouble. So we will figure it out ourselves,” said Jayden.

Jonathan angrily said, “If you two had the combined assets of 2 billion dollars, we wouldn’t be scratching our heads here.”

Megastars from the entertainment industry lived glorious lives and made a lot of money, but their expenditures were also high.

Jeremiah and Jayden’s combined assets were less than 400 million dollars.

As Jayden thought of this, he felt utterly overwhelmed.

Gordon spoke up when the atmosphere in the living room had become so depressing that everyone was finding it hard to breathe. “Wrap up all my calligraphy artwork and sell them. We should be able to sell them for 1 billion dollars if I stop painting after this.”

To put it bluntly, saying that would increase the value of those calligraphy artwork.

Some calligrapher had told Gordon about it before.

At that time, he wasn’t short of money and hadn’t been willing to lose his fame in the art industry, so he refused.

And now, that was the only way to quickly collect the money needed to pay the breach of contract penalties.

Sophia knew how much Gordon liked painting, so she solemnly asked, “Gordon, there is no turning back once you have done this. Have you thought through this?”

“I’ve made up my mind. Let’s do it,” said Gordon. After saying that, he got up and left, his back hunched as he walked away. Sophia got up right after he left and said, “The problem has been solved. Let’s go to bed early.”

Before going upstairs, she gave some instructions to Jonathan. “Contact a second–hand jewelry shop and sell off all of Juliana’s jewelry. Get buyers for all the assets under her name as soon as possible.”

Sophia didn’t want to have anything to do with that despicable woman anymore!

“All right, Mom,” said Jonathan.

Soon, only the four brothers were left in the living room. Jackson clenched his fists tightly and gritted. “The Quigley family is so vicious. We can’t just let them get away with this. We must find a way to make them pay for doing this!”

There were four members in the Quigley family. Bernard and Felix had been brought into custody while Abigail and Juliana were hospitalized.

It was not hard to make them pay for what they did.

Jonathan closed the computer, looked at Jackson, who was gloomy and looked like he wanted to kill someone, and said, “We are in the eye of the storm now. Gordon was worried that Sophia would directly murder Juliana.

“Sophie, I’m not good at networking and don’t know how to make business deals. Can you accompany me to sell the artwork first? After we have discussed the price, you will still have time to pay Juliana a visit,” said Gordon.

Sophia hesitated for a moment and agreed, “All right, Gordon.” The most important thing now was to settle the penalties for the breach of contract. Everything else came second.

They went to Quilton’s largest antique market.

It was a large place in a tubular structure building.

As soon as one entered it, they would see a large square full of stalls.

The periphery of the circular square was filled with shops, ranging in size from large to small.

Some of the shops were crowded while some looked desolate.

The man who had wanted to buy out Gordon’s paintings had opened a calligraphy artwork shop in the southeast corner of the place.

The shop was large and sold ancient, modern, and contemporary artworks, but the business was slow.

It was because he only sold unique or stunning artworks at a high price. His main source of income was through auctions.

Gordon had contacted him before he decided to come over.

However, after entering the store, the shop assistant said, “Dear customer, kindly wait for a while. Our owner has gone to an auction and will only return in half an hour.”

There were daily auctions at the antique market, where buyers and sellers traded goods of varying quality.

Most people who went to the auction were only there to join in the fun, and rarely would anyone buy things.

Sophia wanted to negotiate a deal quickly and then pay Juliana a visit.

She asked angrily, “What does your owner mean by this? Is this how someone who wants to make a business deal shows their sincerity?”

After serving Sophia and Gordon two cups of high–quality Blue Mountain Coffee, the shop assistant explained, “Mrs. Yancey, you have misunderstood us. Our owner has been waiting for you in the store since ten minutes ago. It just so happens that he heard that there was good artwork at the auction today, so he had gone over there at the last minute. Our owner has a special interest in calligraphy artwork. I hope you can understand.”

It was well–known by all that Herman Hughes, the owner of the calligraphy artwork shop, was a lover of artwork, so Gordon understood where he was coming from.

He asked curiously, “What kind of artwork has caught Mr. Hughes‘ interest?”

If it truly were an outstanding artwork, it would be sold at Elite Auction. There was no way such artwork would end up in antique markets.

The shop assistant continued to explain. “It is an acclaimed painter doing a live painting. And there is a time limit, so many people had headed over to join in the fun.”

“Which acclaimed painter is this?” asked Gordon.

“Enigma, one of the most mysterious yet acclaimed painters in the art industry,” replied the shop assistant.

Gordon was surprised. “Is Enigma here, then?”

“That’s what everyone is saying,” said the shop assistant.

“Why is Enigma painting at a third–rate auction in the antique market?” asked Gordon.

Enigma was famous for mixing paintings of various genres to form stunning and memorable works.

However, Enigma sold at most one painting a year, and every one of them was sold at an astounding price.

“How can such a person be here?” wondered Gordon.

The shop assistant smiled and said, “I’m unsure of the reason behind it. If Mr. Yancey is interested, you can go and have a look.”

Gordon was intrigued.

He was interested not only in artwork but also in Enigma, the acclaimed painter.

“It will be great if I can be acquainted with Enigma,” thought Gordon.

“Okay, I’ll go and have a look.”
