Evan calmed down immediately after hearing Cecilia’s question.

“Ceci, you know discipline. There are some things I can’t say, but you can rest assured that you are not alone.”

Cecilia had always known.

A smile appeared on her face again, “Evan, you have arranged everything. Don’t worry about me.”

“No matter how well I arrange things, there will be some omissions, and you only have one life!”

“Who said that? I have nine lives and can turn misfortune into good fortune!”

Cecilia had come close to death many times, but she always survived.

Cecilia stuck out her tongue and said, “I dare not. I’m afraid of Aiden the most. You tell him.”

“He is my boss. I’d be more afraid than you. By the way, how is the Yancey family treating you now?”

“They regret it and want me to go back.”

“So, what are you going to do?”

“Evan, you know me. I won’t forgive those who hurt me.”

Evan chuckled and said, “You can do whatever you want. Anyway, it’s not like you don’t have a family.”

They casually chatted for a while more before hanging up.

Cecilia lay on the sofa and sorted out what had happened recently.

After clearing her head, she sat up and called the keeper of the herb plantation in the countryside.

Although she had sold the herb plantation to Jonathan and also gave him the workers in charge of growing the herbs, the workers still listened to her as she was the one who personally trained them.

The phone was quickly answered, and a mature man’s joyful voice came through the speaker.

“Good evening, Ms. Yancey.”

Cecilia said in a business–like tone, “Mr. Fraser, good evening. How is everyone? Are you all okay?”

“Everything is fine. After you sold the herb plantation, our new employer treated us well and raised our wages. It was just that the herbs would soon be out of season. If they aren’t sold soon, their efficacy would be greatly reduced.”

Alexander Fraser knew that herbs were precious and difficult to cultivate, so he didn’t want such good herbs to go to waste like this.

When Cecilia finished washing up, she received a reply.

It read: [Thank you.]

Cecilia deleted the message, changed her clothes, and prepared to make breakfast.

As soon as she got to the kitchen, there was a knock on the door of her condominium.

She thought it was Christopher, but it turned out to be his bodyguard carrying several breakfast bags.

“Ms. Yancey, Mr. Christopher Forte asked me to buy these. I also bought the sandwich from your favorite shop.”

The last accident didn’t affect the sandwich shop. The boss closed the shop for only one day.

Cecilia took the breakfast and asked, “Would you like to come in and have a bite?”

The bodyguard immediately stepped back and said, “Ms. Yancey, we’ve already eaten.”

They didn’t dare to be in close proximity to Christopher’s

woman.

Cecilia didn’t force them to come in. After finishing breakfast, she gave Christopher a call.

As soon as the call connected, it was picked up.

“Your body needs rest. Why did you wake up so early?”

Christopher had no habit of sleeping in. He woke up at dawn and was having breakfast.

“My wound is much better after applying your medicine. Have you eaten breakfast?”

final exam. Are you confident of taking the first place?” Christopher only asked casually, but Cecilia answered affirmatively.

“Of course.”

Although Juliana couldn’t take the exam, she had to win what was hers, and that was the first place.

“When will it end? I’ll pick you up.”

After saying that, as he was afraid that Cecilia would feel embarrassed, he added, “Hurry up and eat. I’ll wait for your good news.”

“Okay.”

After finishing the call, Cecilia looked at her phone and smiled. After breakfast, she went to Quilton University.

Today was the day of final exams, and the entire school seemed to be filled with nervousness.

Exams at Quilton University were notoriously difficult, with failure rates of at least 20 percent each semester.

However, even though everyone was actively preparing for the exam, Cecilia’s appearance created a stir.
