The living room was silent, and the Yancey family members all lowered their heads, feeling extremely guilty.

The room’s stagnant atmosphere overwhelmed Holbert. He shifted his gaze to Abigail, who was breathless and didn’t dare to speak.

Cecilia already knew the truth and had no intention of staying any longer to see their guilty face.

“Abigail is more useful alive than she’s dead,” she said.

Hearing this, Sophia turned to Holbert and said, “Take her to the hospital and put her in the ward adjacent to Juliana’s!”

After a pause, she added, “Juliana is not my daughter anymore!”

That vicious bitch didn’t deserve her family name.

Holbert asked the maid to help him to put Abigail into his car and then took her to the hospital.

Cecilia also turned around and was ready to leave.

Sophia immediately stepped forward to stop her.

“Ceci, I’m terribly sorry we hurt your feelings. We’re willing to do whatever you want as long as you can go home.”

Jonathan also said, “Ceci, don’t you want Yancey Corporation? I can give you all my shares.”

“Ceci, don’t you like singing? I can give you all my resources and even my recording studio,” Jeremiah said.

“Don’t worry, Ceci. I’ll get even with Juliana for what she did to you!” Jackson added.

Gordon wanted to say something, but he used to prefer Juliana over Cecilia. He didn’t have the face to beg for Cecilia’s forgiveness.

Cecilia looked at the Yancey family, who had completely changed their attitude towards her.

“It’s too late.”

Then she pushed Sophia away and strode away.

When she was about to step out of the living room, she suddenly came to a halt without looking back.

“Remember, we became hostile from the moment I cut ties with the Yancey family,” she said coldly.

She couldn’t let the Yancey family go just because they knew they were wrong!

She was still determined to get her revenge.

Sophia burst into tears while looking at Cecilia’s back.

Cecilia heard it, but she didn’t feel sorry at all.

After walking out of the Yancey residence, she said to Christopher’s bodyguard, “Please drive me to the police station.”

She thought, “It’s the best time to reveal Juliana’s true color now.”

Bernard was at the police station. He was the most appropriate person to disclose all the truth.

The bodyguard immediately started the car and replied, “Yes, Ms. Yancey!”

On the way to the police station, Cecilia informed a number of journalists.

They were already there when she arrived.

The journalists thought Cecilia came to the police station again for Juliana’s kidnapping case.

“Ms. Yancey, did you have any evidence to clear your name by calling us over?”

Seeing Cecilia coming, he immediately became nervous and stared at her vigilantly.

Cecilia came to a halt in front of him.

“I want to have a word with you,” she said.

“I have nothing to talk about with you!” Bernard answered crossly.

Cecilia bent over and said in a voice only Bernard could hear, “If you don’t want Felix to die at the police station, do what I say. You should be aware that my man is the wealthiest in Quilton. He has the ability to kill your son.”

The Quigley family preferred boys over girls. As long as she threatened Bernard with Felix’s life, he would comply obediently.

As timid as Bernard, he was frightened out of his wits.

“Don’t hurt my son. I can talk to you right now,” he said.

He followed Cecilia, left the police station, and came in front of the journalists.

Bernard had never seen such a scene before. He was so

frightened by so many cameras and flashlights that he turned around and tried to run away.

Cecilia grabbed his collar and asked, “What the hell are you doing? Don’t you want to save your son?”

“Don’t hurt my son. I promise I won’t run,” Bernard begged.

“Turn around now and tell them everything I want you to tell them. Do you get it?” Cecilia demanded.

“Got it,” Bernard hurriedly replied.

Cecilia loosened the grip on Bernard’s collar.

Bernard turned around reluctantly and faced the cameras and the journalists in a panic.

Those journalists hadn’t seen Bernard before, so they asked Cecilia, “Ms. Yancey, who is he?”

Cecilia pressed her lips with her index finger and shushed them.

“Don’t make any noise. The show will begin soon.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the journalists fell into silence.

“Is it a livestream?” someone asked.

“Yes,” Cecilia replied.

“Who can borrow me a tablet or laptop? The bigger the screen is, the better.”

As soon as she finished speaking, many journalists handed their tablets and laptops to Cecilia.

Cecilia picked up a 15.6–inch laptop and connected it to the camera in Juliana’s ward.

Then she passed it to Bernard and demanded, “Hold the laptop with both hands and show the screen to the journalists.”

Bernard did it as she told.

Cecilia didn’t click the play button, and there was only a blurred picture on the screen.

While the journalists were confused, she took out her phone and called Juliana.

It would be wonderful only if Juliana cooperated with her.

Juliana had just awoken from a coma, and her open wound had been re–bandaged.

However, her wound opened over and over again, causing infection and fever.

Her face was abnormally red and her head was dizzy. She sat

on the hospital bed like a soulless doll, staring ahead with blank

eyes.

Despair was like a tide, making her feel overwhelmed and suffocated.

She didn’t want to stay in bed and do nothing, but she couldn’t think of a solution to avoid the impending desperate situation. At that moment, her phone suddenly rang.

Juliana slowly turned her head and looked at the phone on the nightstand.

Seeing that it was Cecilia’s number, she ignored the call.

However, her phone automatically answered it and even put her on speaker.

She tried to end the call, but it didn’t work. It looked as if her phone was frozen.

Even if she pushed the off button, it was useless.

Cecilia’s voice came from the other end of the line. “Juliana, listen up! The show will begin soon.”

After saying that, Cecilia turned on the surveillance camera in the ward.

Juliana switched off Juliana’s voice to avoid disturbing Bernard. Juliana was desperate to turn off her phone on the screen, which was filmed by the journalists‘ cameras.
