Cecilia put down the bottle and sat on the couch. She crossed her legs and stared at Devon calmly.
Devon felt regretful at that moment.
“Sorry, Cecilia. I didn’t mean it. I was just too angry and wanted to rely on Niklaus to teach you a lesson.”
“How do you plan on doing that? Don’t tell me you were going to drag me into this private room and beat me up?”
Devon did want to beat Cecilia, but not literally.
However, he couldn’t bring himself to tell the truth. Shaking. his head, he said, “I only wanted to scare you, then swoop in to save you, hoping you’d fall in love with me.”
There was nothing wrong with his explanation, but Cecilia didn’t believe a word.
“Did you tamper with my fruit wine?”
Devon looked at Cecilia confusedly. “What? I don’t know.”
Cecilia knew that Devon didn’t do it. He left the private room very early and had no chance to do it.
Still, that didn’t mean he didn’t know it. It was probably he who asked someone to do it.
It was common for some rich and powerful boys to work together to trick girls.

Yvette frowned and said, “Ceci is drunk. She booked a room earlier and went to rest.”

rest.”

“Send it to the guest room area. Ask the manager to send the bag to Room 601 and put it on the coffee table. Be gentle. Don’t wake up the guest.”
