“Mr. Lane, come here and have a look at this email.” Cecilia got up and returned the chair to Hendrix.

Hendrix glanced at the unfamiliar email, and the header immediately attracted his attention.

It said: [The instigator of the video has been found.]

He immediately clicked on the email, which contained the deleted surveillance videos on the third floor, edited videos, and the online information used to smear Cecilia’s reputation.

Looking at the word “Joel,” Hendrix was shocked.

In his impression, Joel was a boring man who only knew how to study and liked to spend time alone. Why would he harm Cecilia?

If their plot to frame Cecilia was discovered, it would not only ruin their future but also make Quilton University a laughingstock of other universities!

Hendrix was in a dilemma.

He wanted to help Cecilia get justice, but he had to consider the reputation of Quilton University.

Cecilia smiled at Hendrix and said, “Mr. Lane, it turns out you are this kind of teacher. It’s an eye–opener.”

Cecilia sat at the desk, her fingers typing on the keyboard swiftly.

“Is it from the person who investigated me before?”

Cecilia didn’t know the answer, so she decided to leave it first.

It was almost twelve o’clock. She got up and left the

chancellor’s office to go to the cafeteria.

Along the way, she was pointed at by others.

In the past, they were all scolding her. However, it was a mix of

comments now.

Just as she was able to reach the cafeteria, she was suddenly stopped by a creepy male student.

“180 dollars for a night. Are you down for it?”

Cecilia sent a kick toward his crotch.

As she heard the boy’s agonized wail, she smiled brightly and asked, “Do you still want to sleep with me? If you like, I’ll give you a few more kicks. Then, you won’t dare to entertain the idea anymore.”

The boy shook his head vigorously and covered his crotch with fear.

“No, not at all.”

Then, he left quickly in a funny posture.

Cecilia turned on her heel and walked toward a huge sycamore

tree.

The girl hiding behind the tree was so frightened that she

wanted to run away, but Cecilia stopped her.

After saying that, she took the phone from the girl and unlocked it with the latter’s thumb.

The girl wanted to grab her phone back, but she heard Cecilia say, “I can tell you are not from the law department. You’re unaware it’s against the law to sneakily take photos of other people and encourage others to prostitute or defame others.” “I–I don’t know what you are talking about.”

“It doesn’t matter. The police will teach you what crimes you did.”

Cecilia called the police in front of the girl.

“No one. I am just jealous of you.”

“Because I like Devon.”

Cecilia was confused. “What does that have to do with me?”

“Devon is the guy who stopped you this morning. He likes you.”

Hearing this, Cecilia looked at the girl speechlessly.

“Spend more time studying. Your parents didn’t send you to college just for you to fall in love with a boy and break the law.”

After saying that, Cecilia found Devon’s phone number and sent him a message.

“I framed Cecilia so that I can have you to myself. She caught me.”

After that, she deleted the video on her phone and returned it to the girl.

After eating, Yvette said, “Ceci, my uncle wants to see you and talk about the movie interlude with you.”

“I’m not available today. Maybe another day.”

“Okay, I’ll give you my uncle’s number. If you are free, please contact him.”

“Okay.”

When they left the cafeteria, Yvette asked, “Ceci, are we friends?”

“Yes.”

“Do you want to come to my birthday party next week?”

Cecilia didn’t like crowded occasions and wanted to refuse.

However, after meeting Yvette’s expectant eyes, she changed her mind and said, “If I’m not busy, I will go.”

Yvette grinned with joy. “That’s a deal. I will contact you then.”

“All right. Goodbye.”

After leaving the cafeteria, Cecilia went to the library and sat in a secluded corner.

She was about to edit the recorded song when she heard someone exclaim, “Oh, my goodness. Mr. Lewis posted an apology on the campus forum. Let’s go check it out.”

“Apologize? What apology? Who is he apologizing to?” “Cecilia. Now that she succeeded in proving she’s innocent, the vice–chancellor has to apologize for targeting her.”

“Wow. Such a big commotion for this! Also, she’s not proven innocent yet. She hasn’t explained about the video where she hit someone!”

“I think there’s something wrong with the video. Otherwise, why is there a need to cut the clip?”

Cecilia was rendered speechless by their conversation.

She ignored them and continued with what she was doing.

When she finished producing the recorded song, it was only slightly over one o’clock.

She sent the song to Yvette.

Since she still had some time left, she checked Joel online again.

As she expected, all the scandals related to her before were written by Joel.

Unfortunately, she failed to find evidence that Juliana was the mastermind.

However, it didn’t matter. She had other ways to deal with Juliana.

Hendrix was already there.

Looking at his simple and honest father beside him, his steps became increasingly heavy.

After seeing Hendrix, Lawrence Lynch greeted him happily, “Mr. Lane, it’s been a long time since we met.”

He didn’t come to Quilton University many times, but every time he came here, his son won awards for the school. He thought it was the same this time.

Hendrix reached out to hold the hand in front of him and

greeted, “The last time we met was at the end of last year when Joel got another patent.”

“Joel, if I speak this blatantly, it means I have the proof, and it’s not good for you to deny it.”

Joel’s heart skipped a beat when he saw Hendrix’s angry expression.

“Mr. Lane, can you stop talking about this in front of my father? He is in poor health. I’m worried that he won’t be able to take it.”

“Since you care so much about your father, why did you do something that will let him down? Do you know that rumors and defamation will cause serious damage to others‘ reputations? Do you want to go to jail?”

Of course, Joel knew it. However, he thought he had hidden it well, and no one knew about it.

He was stunned now that he was exposed.

Seeing Joel’s eyes dodging his gaze, Hendrix asked again, “Are you an accomplice or a mastermind in framing Cecilia? Does this matter have anything to do with Juliana?”
