THE PROMISE - Episode 4

Tania opened her eyes slowly trying to adjust to the rays of sunshine coming through the opened curtains

Maids! Maids! She called silently as she tried to stand up from the bed when she hit her head on the headboard

Ouch! She moaned in pain rubbing her head

“It must be painful” she heard a deep voice at the back and her body freeze in shock

She turned her head slowly to see who it was,

A gasp escape from her mouth as she took in the sight in her front,

Zayn was dripping wet with towel around his waist and another towel on his neck, his chest were exposed and dragon tattoo was inscribed on the left side of his chest.

He chuckled seeing how she was gawking at his naked chest,

Hot, Tania thought licking her lips

“Wait how did he entered my room?” Tania asked in thought

“Who are you?” She cleared her throat

“And how did you enter my room?” Did you probably climb the window?” She widened her eyes in shock

“You are really dumb, don’t tell me you can’t remember what happened last night” Zayn asked looking at her

Last night? Last night? She mumbled thinking about what might have happened,

Her mouth open widely as the memories of last night rushed back, how she got drunk and the intimate between her and Zayn at the club restroom..

Seems like you remember now, Zayn mocked

Tania cleared her throat standing up from the bed

“My mom will be worried about me”, she said picking up her purse which was on the bedstand

Zayn frowned looking at the woman in front of him,

Where are you living? He asked

Thanks, Tania said and ran out of the room ignoring the question Zayn asked..

Zayn was about to follow her when a message came into his phone

He walked to where his phone was and opened the message

He hissed loudly seeing who sent the message

It was his dad’s message reminding him that he must be at mansion today…

He dropped his phone and sat on the bed reminiscing on what happened last night…

He smiled remembering how Tania ran out of his room,

Will meet you again sooner,he mumbled…

**** ANNE’S INDUSTRY****

Anne could not concentrate on her work as her mind was occupied with the marriage issues,

The shoot had to be shifted to another day since their model wasn’t feeling well as said by Anne herself…

“Anne is something disturbing you? Her manager asked as they entered the car

Why? Anne replied

You have been brooding since I saw you today and you weren’t concentrating on during the shoot,her manager said worriedly

“No am okay,am just.. stressed out” she replied with a fake smile

Ok if you say so, her manager said driving out of the industry..

Where should I take you to?

“Take me home,I need to rest” she said and the manager nodded

Anne sighed closing her eyes trying to free her mind from the issues…

Anne manager watched her through the car mirror noticing how sad she looks but it seems she is not ready to open up to anybody which left the manager no choice but to let her be

**** FAST FORWARD****

Mandela (Anne stepmother also Tania biological mother) pace round the sitting room looking very worried,

Where could she be? I hope nothing bad had happened to her, she said panicking trying Tania’s number.

Damn* she cursed removing the phone from her ear

She was still thinking when she heard the door open revealing Tania who walked in with smile,

Tania! Mandy called running to her daughter before pulling her into hug

Mom, what happened? Did anyone hurt? Tania asked noticing the state Mandy was

Thank God you are safe,I thought something bad had happened to you, Mandy replied caressing her face.

Mom stop getting paranoid and moreso am not a kid anymore,am 21 for goodness sake, Tania said seating on the couch

I know you are no more a kid but as a mother it’s my right to be worried about my daughter, Mandy replied sitting beside her.

Ok Mom. She said removing her shoes.

“Where is that stupid sister of mine? Tania asked standing up

That idiot has gone for a shoot, Mandy replied frowning her face

Mom it’s just a matter of some days, and she will be gone in our lives, Tania smile

You are right, it’s just for some days.. Mandy replied

” I will be back,I need to shower. Tania said turning to leave

The clicking sound of the door stopped her from moving,

Anne walked in looking dull ignoring Tania and Mandy

Are you blind? Don’t you see me standing? Mandy glared at her

Anne ignored her and continue walking,

“Are you deaf? Mandy barked

“Old woman will you stop disturbing my peaceful life, your voice is irritating to my ear,so stop barking like a dog,oops I forget, you can continue barking after all you are no different from dog”,Anne said smiling climbing the stairs leaving Mandy kept looking at her with killing Expression.

How dare you say that to my mother? Tania shouted dragging Anne by her hair

Ouch!! Anne screamed in pain due to the hold on her hair

Leave my hair, Anne shouted struggling to free her hair

Anne was able to release Tania hold on her hair and landed a hot slap on her face

Slap!!! The loud sound of the slap echoes round the room

Tania eyes went blind for a moment and she fell on her knees

Mom? Did you turn off the light? She said searching the ground

Tania what happened to your eyes? Mandy asked blowing air into her eyes

Enjoy yourself, Anne said smiling and climbed the stairs to her room..

Bastard! Mandy cursed as she continues blowing air into Tania’s eyes

It’s okay Mom, Tania said as she felt her eyes opening bit by bit till it open clearly

Tania!, Mandy gasped touching her daughter’s face

“What happened Mom? Tania said confused

“Tania your face has swollen up, Mandy replied looking at her

What!!! Tania screamed and stand up from the ground and ran to her room

She opened her room door and ran to where the mirror is

She gasped out in shock ready to burst out at any moment

Anne five fingers was imprinted on her face and her eyes were swollen

Annette!!!!! She screamed

****** LUCAS MANSION******

“What the hell are you saying Dad?” Zayn banged his hand on the table

Young Man Respect yourself,Mr Lucas snapped

Respect? How could you get me betrothed to a woman I had never seen before and too without my consent, Zayn shouted

You don’t tell me what to do and as long as I am still your father you will get married to the lady I chose,got that? Mr Lucas said sternly

We are visiting your fiancee family tommorow,so get ready to meet her tomorrow and your wedding date will be decided as well.

You must be there tomorrow and if you failed to show up you know what am capable of doing,Mr Lucas said leaving Zayn alone in the living room

Arrghh!! Zayn threw the flower vase which was on the center table to the television which break into pieces..

I f**kin hate you old man!! He shouted as he left Mr Lucas Mansion…

MARK’S MANSION

They were all having their dinner peacefully but not without Tania glaring hard at Anne who in return smile mockingly at her

“Dad let’s talk after dinner, Anne said not looking up

Ok daughter,Mr Mark smiled.

Mandy and Tania scoffed looking at both daughter and father

Foolish people, Mandy mumbled

Few minutes Later they were done and the maids came to packed the used dishes…

Should we talk here or your room? Mr Mark asked

My room,she replied simply climbing the stairs while he followed behind..

Tania hissed before taking her seat beside Mandy who was watching a fashion show.

“I just wish she doesn’t exist, Tania said hatefully glaring at the empty stairs..

***** ANNE’S ROOM*****

What did you want to talk about? If it’s about your the marriage,am sorry_

“I will get married!, Anne cut his words

“You will get married? Really? Mr Mark asked in suprise and she nodded.

” I will get married to the man you choose, Anne replied

Thanks daughter, Mr Mark said pulling her into hug

But on one condition, Anne pulled away s the hug

Condition? She nodded

What’s your condition? Mr Mark asked

I won’t stop modelling after getting married, she replied and Mr Mark smiled

No you won’t stop, Mr Mark reply

“Then it’s settled,I will get married, you can call my fiancee family, Anne said smiling at his dad.

“Thanks daughter, Lucas will be very happy to hear this,Mr Mark said leaving her room to make a phone call.

“I hope am making the right decision… She thought staring into space.
