The End

Recap of last chapter

“Leave these innocent children alone Celia, it’s me you want” my mother said glaring at the woman who’s name I had just found out.

“Now why would I do that, the parties just getting started”she smirked, “and I think I’ll destroy all of you,one by one starting with your precious daughter”

“Guards cease them!” she commanded pointing in our direction.

As the guards swam forward to attack, my mother stood in front of my friends and I in a protective stance.

Her two arms then began to glow and the room suddenly felt a little chilly.

She then aimed her arms towards the guards and in one swift movement, they were knocked out cold.

‘Mom has powers?’ I thought to myself confused.

I didn’t even know she had powers. Before I could continue with my thoughts Celia’s voice interrupted.

“I didn’t need them anyway” Celia shrugged.

I watched in awe as her hand then began to glow before she looked up at me smugly,”

How would you prefer to die, the hard way or the hard way?”

I quickly replaced the awestruck look on my face with a smug one, similar to the one she wore on her face.

“Oh sweetie, I’m not the one who’s going to die. That would be you.” I replied in a scary sweet voice.

She then proceeded to throw a fireball at me which I easily caught with one hand.

“Missed me” I smirked before shooting her in the butt with a lightening bolt.

By the look on her face, she sure wasn’t expecting that.

“you little brat” she shrieked, sending multiple fireballs my way. Using my quick reflexes,

I was able to swim out of the way just in time before she had a chance to hit me.

“You have really bad aim!” I laughed at her before turning serious.

I had to step up my game now or else she was going to win and I wasn’t about to let that happen. It’s time to get my wishing on’ I thought.

I then closed my eyes and made a wish. After making a wish, I reopened my eyes and smirked at Celia before throwing a flying spatula into her face.

Yep! You heard right, I just said spatula.
She let out a scream and held her nose in pain.

“What is this?” She questioned inspecting the item which hit her.

“It’s called a spatula, clown face” Ariel remarked which made Celia’s face turn a bright shade of red.

I wasn’t sure if she was embarrassed or angry.

“That’s it!” She screamed, “I have put up with this foolishness long enough, I’m going to destroy them first, then I’ll finish you off later.”

she turned towards the gang, aiming fireballs at them, one by one.

Alex, Aqua and my mom all managed to get away but Waterlilly, Kylie and Ariel weren’t as lucky. Her fireballs had managed to send them flying across the dungeon, before their bodies slammed into the wall.

Without any hesitation I swam forward and stared at my best friend and friends all laying motionless on the cold, dirty floor before something in me just snapped.

And in that moment, all I saw was red.

You will pay for this!” I screamed sending her a murderous look.

It was time she got a taste of her own medicine. No one messes with my bestie and gets away with it.

As I held out my hands, ready to attack, the ground began to rumble and shake.

When suddenly I felt as though my body was on fire which made me fall to the ground in pain as a new found energy surged through my body.

Then as the pain subsided, I was left in a brand new tail. It was a fiery red colour, which matched perfectly with my emotions.

I looked at Celia and noticed she was trembling in fear and slowly moving away from me towards the exit. I held out my hands again aiming at her and she flew into the door.

I wasn’t quite sure how I had just done that, but I was glad that it happened.

Quickly using my new found ability, I lifted all the items that were around me into the air and threw it at her head, knocking her out cold.

“Next time you’ll think twice before you mess with my family ” I said staring down at her now lifeless body.

“For your bravery in helping my daughter, I would like to present each of you with this special medal so that the whole ocean,

may know that you have contributed to save the kingdom from that awful sea witch Celia.

” My mother said as she placed the last medal on Ariel’s neck. Now, you’re all probably wondering how she’s still alive.

Well After I defeated Celia, my mother told me that she had the power to bring people back to life and therefore because of her powers, she was able to bring Waterlilly, Kylie and Ariel back to life.

Anyway, my mother had retaken her place as queen and the whole ocean was happy once again. Now it was time for Ariel and I to head back home where we belonged.

“I will miss you guys so much” I said giving them a hug.

“We will miss you guys too” Waterlilly replied.

“Don’t forget to come visit me or else” Aqua demanded making me laugh,”I will silly”
I then excused my self to go say goodbye to my mother.

“I’m going to miss you so much Mom” I said embracing her in a hug.

“I’ll miss you too Melody and if you ever need anything, you know where to find me” she replied returning the hug.

Ariel and I then said our final goodbyes to the gang before I made a wish for us to return home once again.

“What an adventure? Huh Melody” Ariel said when we arrived back home.

“You got that right! Let’s never do anything like that ever again.”

“You’re telling me, I never want to experience death again, ever in my life I think once is enough” she responded seriously.

“For once I agree with you” I laughed and she glared at me before laughing herself.

“You know a while ago if someone had told me that I was a mermaid, I would have laughed in their face.”

“Someone did tell you..it was me” she reminded me. Which was true minus the laugh in your face part.

The whole experience was one I would never forget.

But Even though this adventure had come to an end, I will forever be… The mermaid princess.
