THE MERMAID PRINCESS - EPISODE 8

Moody’s POV –

“Grandpa look, i’m a mermaid”
“I can see that sweety.

Well why don’t you go for a swim and meet me home later”

“Okay, bye grandpa”

I was about to go tell Ariel about finally turning into a mermaid but I couldn’t since I didn’t have legs at the moment. I guess I’ll go for a swim first.

I pushed myself further into the water until I could not see the shor.

I moved my tail back and fort through the strong currents of the water.

After a few more minutes of swimming I decided to get out of the water.

“Okay now how do I get legs” I asked myself once I was fully out of the water. Maybe if I wish for my legs they will appear.

‘I wish I had legs’ I thought closing my eyes. When I opened my eyes, I realized that my tail was still there.

“Why can’t you just go away?” I said through gritted teeth whilst I clenched my fists.

Suddenly I felt a little sting on my tail and noticed steam forming around it.

When the steam cleared I was surprised to see that I had my two legs back.

“Finally!” I said standing up. I then decided to go to Ariel’s house.

I wonder if she’s awake yet. When I reached her front door, I took out the spare key which she keeps in the plant pot.

Which by the way is a totally obvious place since she doesn’t cover it with dirt or anything.
I walked inside and headed straight for her room.

True enough she was sprawled out all over the bed, fast asleep.

“Yes of course I’ll marry you Brad” Mubbled the sleeping Ariel. I could have some fun with this.

“I’m sorry but your call cannot be completed as dialed.

Please hang up and try again. If you need assistance, dial your operator.

This is a recording” I said in a phone voice while trying my best not to laugh.

“What who is this? Where’s my finance Brad” she mubbled again. Okay I give up.

“Wakey wakey sleeping beauty”

“Melody? How did you get in” said Ariel finally sitting up.

“Through the front door. Duh”

“I know that! I meant how did you unlock the door, you don’t have a key yet.”

“Oh! I used the key you always keep in the plant pot by the way you need a new hiding place for that.
Anyway I have some exciting news I couldn’t wait to tell you.”

“What is! Oh no don’t tell me your pregnant because if you are I will march over to Lewis’s house right now and- ” I cut her off before my face could turn tomato red.

“That’s not what I was going to tell you and that’s never going to happen I mean yeah I like him but I don’t know if he feels the same way and plus I wouldn’t do the deed unless we were getting married in which case I’m not-”

Melody your rambling again and even worse than me, now take a deep breath and tell me the news girl” she said.

“Okay well you see, this morning I woke up very early because my sides were hurting and I felt as though I couldn’t breathe any long story short grandpa took me down to the beach and I finally got sprouted a tail.”

“WHAT! LET ME SEE IT WOMAN” screamed a very excited Ariel.

Geez! calm down let’s go into the bathroom and I’ll show you.”

I walked into the bathroom with Ariel and ran my hands under the water and after about ten seconds, I felt myself falling forward.

I flipped myself around and then saw my beautiful blue tail.

My thoughts were soon interrupted by a loud scream.

I looked up to find the source of the noise and noticed Ariel jumping up and down while screaming.

“Ouch! I think my ears are bleeding. Why are you screaming so loudly.”

“Sorry! But my best friend just turned into a freaking fish excuse me if I’m a little over excited”

“A little?” I asked giving her a look.
“Okay a lot but can you blame me your hair is blond with pink highlights which looks really good by the way and you just grew a pair of fins that’s hella awesome” she scream again.
This is gonna be a long day.

We were currently curled up on Ariel’s bed watching ‘The Backup plan’ on her laptop when I heard a voice in my head.

‘Melody my child -come to me’ said an angelic voice.

‘What? Who is this’ I asked the voice confused.

‘Come find me, my child’

‘Mom?’

‘Yes Melody. Now I want you to meet with water lily and come find me as soon as possible and I’m sorry I wasn’t there to see you when you first changed into a mermaid’ said the voice which I now knew as mom.

‘Its okay mom -sure it hurt like hell, but at least I can use my new tail to come find you’ I said with tears in my eyes.

‘I love you’
‘I love you too mom’. After she left my thoughts I noticed Ariel staring at me with wide eyes.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

“Dude your eyes were just glowing and not to mention pink”

“Come again! Did you just say that my eyes were glowing and they were pink.

” I asked with a shocked expression on my face.

What’s next! Purple hair. Boy! This day just keeps getting better and better.
