THE MERMAID PRINCESS - EPISODE 7

Moody’s POV

 Today was just another day, where I wanted to curl up with my dear friend pillow and catch up on my best friend sleep.

 But unfortunately for me, my crazy best friend Ariel had other ideas. 
I remember it as if it were just a few minutes ago and can I just say, that things got a little hectic.

“Melody are you awake?” Said Ariel a little to loudly. 
Okay Melody! Just pretend that you didn’t hear a word she just said and maybe she will go away.

“Melody if you don’t get up I will jump on this bed””Snore””Seriously who says snore just get up already”

“Snore”

“Alright you asked for it” before my brain even got the chance to comprehend what she had just said, She was already jumping up and down all over my bed.

“Ariel I’m going to give you to the count of ten to get off me or else things will get ugly” I threatened.

 Clearly pissed off that she had woke me up so early on a Saturday morning.

“Oh yeah and what exactly is going to happen if I don’t” She asked with a smirk but not backing down from her current position.

‘I wish the waters would rise at my command and attack my best friend”
Suddenly, the sinks in my bathroom began to rumble and shake violently.
I could even feel the ground moving harshly and as if out of no where water burst through my bedroom door knocking Ariel to ground.

“What just happened?” Asked Ariel a little confused about the entire situation.

“What just happened was, I the mermaid, taught you the best friend a lesson.”

“Which is?”+

“Never wake your mermaid best friend up from her beauty sleep or things can and will get ugly” I said smugly.

“Okay so what are we going to do today”

“So you’re telling me, that you woke me up and you don’t even know what we are doing today” I asked with raised eyebrows.

“Well I thought that you were going to practise your powers today you know since you almost burnt the house down” Ariel said shaking her head at me.

“Okay let’s do it now” I got up from my chair and proceeded towards the backyard.

“Hey! Where are you going?” Asked Ariel clearly confused.

“Outside. Wouldn’t want to burn the house down” I said turning back around and continuing to the backyard with Ariel right behind me.
When we reached the backyard, I suddenly became a little nervous and I think Ariel noticed.

“What’s wrong Melody?” Ariel asked worriedly.

“I’m nervous what if I start a fire and I can’t put it out or worse what if I actually burn the house down this time or what if- “my rambling was cut short bye Ariel throwing a bucket of water in my face. When did she get a bucket of water!

“Melody you’re rambling again and I know it might be a little scary considering what happened last time but you will never know until you try.”
After Ariel’s little speech I took a deep breath and began practising my powers. 

Slowly I held out my hand and then clean blue flame appeared in the middle of palm.

 As i opened my hand a little wider, the flame grew bigger and the place seemed to get a little more humid.
Is it hot out here or is it just me?” Ariel said fanning herself a bit.

“Its not you its me” I told her as the flame continued to grow bigger.

“Maybe you should turn it off now”

“It’s not a switch. I can’t turn it off- but I can try something” I said. Then I closed my hand and the flame went away.
“You did it! Omg, I told you could do it” screamed Ariel while jumping up and down happily.

“God I’m best friends with a lunatic. But hey you’re still the greatest friend anyone could ever ask for and I would have it any other way”
