Felicia even believed it will be a difficult endeavor to get those Thera bastards to offer them an official apology. Too bad, she can’t say that loud. This was not going to be good for the already dwindling confidence of their subjects in the monarchy. ;

“Thank you for your efforts, your highness. You have our gratitude.” Mae wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes to force out a smile in reply. ;

“Governor, my husband sends his apology for not being able to accompany you at the time of your loss.” Felicia returned a nod to the woman, later turned around to face the bearded man on her left. ;

“As you know, the issue about the plantations had been giving my family some sleepless nights.” She added, not sounding too servile in her apology. This was a skill she had to learn in order to fit in her new boots of royalty. Monarchs should never sound servile, even when they are at fault. ;

“I can understand his circumstances, Mrs. Felicia. You need not state it. I am satisfied with your presence.” He revealed a partial smile and then turned his gaze towards the person subsiding over the funeral ceremony. ; ;

“The funeral procession will start now. We will have the princess of our kingdom step in to bid goodbye to the departed soul first.” Governor Pediot got to his feet and announced the commencement of the ceremony to the thousands of people who had collected on the vast grounds.

“It’s an honor.” Felicia too followed the man unhurriedly, walking right behind him as they traveled over to the stand. “Please go right ahead.” The big man gave way to her and Felica picked a handful of flowers from the serving tray. ;

Stepping over, she can clearly observe the dead boy and his friends’ portraits over the stall. Felica didn’t any surge of emotions or sympathy at her core. She was a hardcore cultivator at the end of the day. Death and destruction came second nature to her. Maybe that’s why her heart was so cold. ;

Showering the flowers, she was about to step back when Felicia noticed a familiar face among the crowd. Shalam was a tall guy, he was easily recognizable even among hundreds of men and women on all sides of him. ;

At this point, Felicia was more or less certain about her earlier conjecture. Barring any extraordinary reveal, Shalam must have been the man Mrs. Mae birthed her child with. ;

She wasn’t aware of the entire story, but one thing was clear, governor Pediot was not the father of the dead boy. The lack of emotional response from the man had only solidified her belief. ;

“Is there an issue.. Mrs. Felicia.” She realized she had stood there for longer than necessary. Even Shalam was looking right back at her. Obviously, she was certain the man can not recognize her. ;

“Nothing, governor. I just thought it was a big loss for your family.. considering you had a single child with Mrs. Mae.” Once again, the man acted totally detached. Only nodding his head slightly he followed her footsteps to take her position. “It is..” ;

It was late afternoon when Ryu and the ladies traveled to the nearest creek to have a bath. The green-headed boy had recovered quite a lot now, easily able to at least walk normally without any support. ;

Everyone was happy since Jenny had succeeded in her venture. Ryu had spent many hours after the morning routine teaching the girl the same cultivation technique he had shared with his friends. ;

Even though it was her first day, Jenny was certainly a fast learner who was able to grasp things at a faster rate. Right now the four of them were navigating the dirt trail toward the freshwater source. ;

Itzel and Courtney were tied up with a familiar leash around their necks as they walked on all fours. Ryu had his left arm around Jenny’s slim waist, he had the leashes in his right one, hauling the two mature ladies on the ground. ;

“Father, I want you to have sex with me.” With her head on his chest, Jenny uttered her wish in a coy voice. “Why do you want that?” Ryu replied, taking note of Itzel’s silence over this matter.

Had this been any other time, she would have intervened and reprimanded her daughter for her words. But today was different. Jenny had stepped into a new life from here on out, Itzel was too exuberant to give acceptance to even the most outrageous ideas right now. ;

“I want to remember it for the rest of my life. Today I have awakened with brother’s help. So I want to etch this memory in my heart for the rest of my life.” Ryu was impressed with how skillfully the girl articulated her feelings towards him.

He for sure can understand her point of view. In the time they spent on the back and forth, the group had made it over to a splendid meadow. “You sure about that? What about your mum?”

Jenny shook her head. “You think she can deny anything at this point? You can even ask her to serve you for an entire month and she will readily agree to it. I know how excited she is.” ;

Itzel just smiled wryly. Jenny had spoken the truth. Her gratitude towards Ryu was simply too enormous to support on her two shoulders. ;

Having reached their destination, Itzel got up and embraced the boy with both her arms. “Young master, I have changed my mind. I urge you to mate with my girl. Jenny is right, she must remember this generosity of yours for the rest of her life.” ;

Itzel’s dam holding the emotional turbulence had fallen apart and Ryu saw the woman tear up. “If that’s what both of you want, then so be it.”

Right now Ryu was simply making his decision based on the pair’s request. He had little to no self-interest to serve by having sex with Jenny. While it will be an interesting prospect for being her first man, it’s not like Ryu had a lack of pussy to satiate his fleshly urges. ;

Still, he chose to respect their heartfelt offer. “Before you do that.. I have a request of my own.” Ryu paused for a second, seeing the mature woman chew on her lips as if she was finding it very hard to give voice to her thoughts.

Everyone was stunned at the confession of the priestess. “hn? You want me to kiss you? On your lips?” Ryu thought he heard wrongly, but the lady refused to back out, nodding her head in deliberation.

“Yes. I want to do that.” “What about your husband?” “I am planning to come clean to him. I am sure he will understand.” They had some back and forth but Itzel was convinced she had come to the right conclusion. ;

“If you are doing this to pay me back for what I did for Jenny, then please don’t bother. I liked the girl so chose to help her out of my own volition. You are only going to insult my generosity with your overzealousness.” Ryu countered. ;

Itzel vehemently shook her head. “That’s not the reason. I am perfectly aware of your motives behind lending a helping hand to my kid. Still, I want to do this for my mental peace.” Ryu can only smile wryly as he started to figure out her point of view.

“Is that it?” He asked and Itzel took her time to reply. “No.. I also want you to become my children’s father. It might only be in the name, however, I truly want this.”

“Become father?” Looks like Itzel had taken his earlier comment all too seriously. “Yes, I will be at ease that way.” Thinking Ryu might be averse to the idea, she hurriedly shared her piece of mind. ;

“You don’t need to carry any responsibility. It’s enough if you accept it in the name only.” Initially, Itzel had a hunch she was witnessing the rise of a star in the form of Ryu. ;

Over time, her hunch had transformed into an unshakeable belief. ;

There was no way Ryu was not going to become a known face in this country. Just tying his name to her children might give them immense benefits later on in their lives. If her prophecies came true, Jenny and Juttu will have a good life even if she and her husband were to pass away one day.

Somehow, her calculations didn’t go undetected by Ryu as well. “What a smart woman haha..” He squeezed her shoulders with a burst of loud laughter, making Itzel blush. It seemed like the young lad had seen right through her intentions. Nevertheless, she was not going to back down. ;

“I was thinking of having you on a later date.. but I guess I am doomed to forever mount mothers together with their daughters.” Itzel and Jenny were flustered at this nasty announcement from the boy. ;
