Bella slightly closed her eyes. The warmth in her chest made it

difficult for her to breathe.

Justin had indeed saved her life. However, what he didn’t realize was

that she had once been his savior too.

Justin felt anxious when Bella was silent. He thought he might have

said something wrong, so he quickly added, “Bella, I wasn’t thinking when I said that. I’m nothing but

your pet, your personal dog.”

Upon hearing this, Bella bit her lip tightly, nearly bursting into laughter!

The prideful Justin was willing to be her pet?! Just picture the envy of

She said it as a joke. At this point, she had no intention of getting

involved with Justin any further. So she might as well play the villain

and tease him a bit to vent her frustrations.

“Woof, woof!”

Bella was shocked.

“Woof, woof!”

Worried that she might not have heard clearly, Justin barked a couple

more times.

Honestly, the initial barks left his cheeks burning with

embarrassment. But as he barked a couple more times, somehow he

started to accept this strange turn of events.

As long as Bella was happy, Justin did not care if he had to bark all

night.

“Justin, seriously. Are you crazy?” Bella could not stand it any longer. She felt extremely embarrassed.

“If I told you to bark, you’d bark. What if I asked you to die? Would you actually do it?”

“I don’t want to die. If I die, I won’t be able to see you again.”

Justin gently turned Bella around, and their eyes met. In his gaze, she

felt a wave of intense emotions, vulnerable and exposed.

“Justin,” Bella said.

Before she could finish her sentence, Justin interrupted by removing

his tie. He handed it to her. “Lead me home, Bella.”

Bella stared blankly at the tie, feeling confused.

Justin gulped, his eyes fixed on her seductive red lips, leaning in

closer. His vision blurred, and his heart raced uncontrollably.

Suddenly, the phone rang!

As if waking from a dream, Bella pushed Justin away and turned to

answer the phone.

“Steve? What’s the matter?”

“Ms. Bella! Where are you?” Steven’s voice anxiously rang out.

“I’m at the hotel, dealing with some matters. Did something happen?”
