THE CROWN - EPISODE 32

Earlier today I fell in love with her all over again when I watched her selflessness.

Distributing food items to every household in the village even though it was obvious that her legs were sore from the distance we had to walk.

I could carry her on intervals but she’d shyly come down and walk on her feet.

The villagers were surprised, though the Royal family give out items but they go take in the palace but Adenike has gone out of her way to distribute foodstuffs to every household in the village.

Humility at his peek with a pure heart, I know with a Queen like her by my side I’d be a great King.

After the distribution we were headed for the palace.

She brushed sweat off her face and exhaled softly.

I looked at her,

the guards and maids behind us and they were happy because they got to see their families as well.

“You look exhausted” I told her

She handed her horsetail to one of her maids

“I am but it’s worth it” she replied scratching her lower neck.

“I don’t think I can wait to get to the palace, I’m all sweaty and itchy” she said

“Let’s take a turn to the nearest stream” I suggested.

The guards lead us to the closest stream. The stream is the clearest but also the smallest.

“I’ve been to this stream barely twice, it’s far from home ” she said

Walking down the hill to the water, I joined her

She laughed with her eyes closed

“not only isn’t very clear but also warm, the size still saddens me”

I looked and all the guards and maids stood facing the other side, I could only see their backs.

“You know how to swim?” I questioned even though I know the answer. Emenike told me how they met

“Yes, your brother taught me how to” she said and I smiled at her plainness. She’s just beautiful

“Can I teach you again, I thought Emenike” I teased

I held her waist with my thumbs on her lower waist.

The softness of her skin, everything about her seems perfect.

I pulled her to myself, her mouth was opened and gasping for air.

I slowly moved closer to her and took her lips.

The sweetness of love, kissing her at every opportunity is like reminding her that she’s mine and I could go to any length to keep it that way.

I squeezed her lower waist gently, fondling in my hands

“Hmmm” she moaned in my lips igniting the burning fire in me.

I slowly started folding up the hem of her wrapper. My hands trailed around her thick thighs.

I let go of her lips and started placing kisses on her chest.

I parted her thighs open with my fingers. I slithered my fingers up her thighs while my lips kissed her slightly open cleavages.

I stopped to look at her, her head was back, her eyes closed with her biting the lower lip.

She moaned. I groaned at her huskily as I finally touched her clits. Her breathe increased

I obeyed immediately and stared at her eyes.

“I’m sorry” I told her. Maybe I took it too far this time

She smiled and went back into the water, I smiled.

Thoughts of her touching me the way I do to her filled my head, I groaned at the pleasure, biting my lip slightly.

We got back to the palace and I have her some space to change and all that.

Her maids served her lunch and she ate while I had to run an errand for Father.

I left the palace and headed for the house of the Onyishi who is the oldest man in the village.

I went with some guards since I was on official assignment.

“My father the King, Igwe Ezechukwu Otu n’ime Umuagwo. Sends his regards and we’ll wishes”

I told him after several greetings and home age.

His children were present to welcome us too.

“He also sends these items and hopes that they help you recover quickly”

The guards walked forward and dropped the items, giving the handy ones to his children.

We left immediately, I was rather in a haste to get to Adenike. We got closer and so did my eagerness to hold my wife, she’s mine.. yes.

I got to the palace, the entire Royal family was present in the king’s Court and so was the Onuwu and few other elders.

I looked and Chioma too was present, this better be good.

“Greetings Father, Mother” I said slowly

“Greetings my elders” I greeted them too.

I looked at Adenike and her eyes looked like tears threatened to fall but she was sitting so elegantly.

I looked at Chioma and she had a rather plain face.

“What is going on?” I questioned. The looks on everyone’s face wasn’t pleasing and I know something is up.

“Ikenna my son” Father called. I turned to face him.

“Do you know this young girl?” He asked referring to Chioma

“Yes Father I do” I replied

“Of course he knows her”

“She is the girl he intended to marry”

“Exactly”

The elders threw in words.

“As we all remembered, she is the girl you picked at the dance competition”

“Yes Father but…”

“Wait, don’t be faster than your shadow my son” he stopped be.

I nodded and allowed him talk

“After picking her at the dance, the Royal ancestral beads rejected her after she was touched with the staff meaning she wasn’t destined for it. The gods provided the chosen one and you two got married.. hmm” he stopped and sighed

my heart was pounding at the variety of thoughts I had of what might be going on

“Prince Ikenna why did you still go ahead to have an affair with this same woman the gods had rejected for you?”

“Father, I’m lost at your use of words”

I bowed my head

“She said she is carrying your child, is this true?”

My heart stopped for a second, my fist lost their strength and my lips quivered. She is with child? How? Why?

“That isn’t possible” I recounted

“How is it impossible? We had an affair didn’t we?” Chioma spoke

“But we…”

“Did you have an affair with her or not?” Father asked

I turned to look at Adenike, she still had a straight face and the tears in her eyes were no more.

“Yes I did”

I said lowly

“ọ bụ ya..kedu ihe ị ga -ekwu ọzọ? that is it! What more can we say again?”

“I don’t know if we’re to celebrate an heir to the throne or be sadden that the child is illegitimate”

The elders said.

“Your majesties, my elders and every living thing present here today. The gods know that I never intended for things to get like this or to even bother the prince with my predicament. But when I saw how diligently the princess distributed food items today I was touched and I felt guilty that I will be keeping her child away from her because this baby isn’t just mine or the prince but he is also the princess’s….”

Chioma narrated. Her voice disgusted the hell outta me and just hearing her talk angered my spirit.

She started tearing up and crying

“That is why I will like to plead with the crowned princess and everyone else to forgive myself and the prince for this selfish act of love. We all know that the prince and I have always loved each other and that is way he planted his seed in me. We didn’t mean to cause harm”

“If you don’t shut up that mouth of yours I will shut it up myself. You better stop this pretense. Even if that child is mine, it was planted out of my physical desires as a man and not out of love”

I glanced painfully at Adenike one more time before bouncing out. Nobody dared to call me back.

“Ahhhhhh!!”

What have I gotten myself into? It’s been weeks since I last had something with her. Did I really plant my seed in her? Is she really with my child?
